This is a very nice hostel and I've seen many to this date. It's always clean and they have a big kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and one shared bathroom and never had to wait to take a shower. They even fed us one night with pasta and they have pancakes and eggs for breakfast. People and staff are very nice. This was a hostel that I could trust leaving my stuff unlocked in the room to be honest. The beds are good and with the curtain, lamp and extra compartment give you more privacy.
Nothing really! There's no air conditioning so it can get hot in the room. I think more mirrors in the women's room would be great and a table. The room was a little small but never was an issue.

A nice and friendly hostel next to a vibrant neighborhood Little Italy. The room was comfortable, shared bathroom next to it. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was amazing: eggs, pancakes, syrup, butter, oats, bread, coffee, fruit, jam were free, we could prepare our own breakfast. Kitchen was well equipped and there was a fridge in the room. Lockers for valuables were available (bring your own padlock) and towels were provided for the room. There is even a game room in the hostel with billiard etc :) Staff were polite and always helpful. We could leave luggage before check-in time.
We stayed in the annex not the main building so we had to walk to the main building for breakfast every morning but it was not a problem. Shower in the bathroom next to our room was under repair, only toilet and washbasin was available upstairs, for showers we had to go downstairs.

I had a great stay at this hostel! The bed in the 4-bed dorm was super comfortable and offered great privacy thanks to the curtain. Each bed had its own power outlet, which was really convenient. The hostel itself was quiet and peaceful, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. Location-wise, it was ideal, just a 25-minute walk to the Convention Center and really close to Little Italy. A special shoutout to Chaz at reception who went above and beyond to help me pack a poster I got at Comic-Con. Highly recommended if you're looking for a clean, quiet, and well-located place to stay!

Location- near or in Little Italy, many wonderful xadés and restaurants within walking distance and proximity to the Mexican Consulate where I had an appointment. Easy to get to from the airport- bus and walk. The house is well maintained , has lots of unique features in its architecture and takes you back in time. My room was comfortable, clean and safe. It felt very community like, whille allowing for quiet alone time. I liked that there were some planned events everyone was welcome to participate in. The breakfast that was included was well-organized and delicious, with access at all times to use of the fridge and kitche facilities. The shared bathroom was single use and private. The front staff were friendly and helpful. It was very good value for the rates.
I can’t think of a thing.

It was my first time in SD and was on a solo trip so I just booked the most convenient and cheapest one possible. I arrived so early but Steve, he was so nice and deserves a raise!!, allowed me to leave my bag to explore the city. The place gave more than my expectations. Steve showed me around the property, gave tips on activities I can do and is so welcoming. they even have a hosted event everyday where all travelers can hang out and meet in the common area. The bed was so comfortable and is huge for a single person. the curtains gave privacy to everyone. Youll also have a small space in the bed where you can keep your private belongings. The gentlemen whom I met in the front desk (Steve and another one) were so friendly, they always smile and even use first name to the guests (which I would say, as a person who works in the hospitality industry) is a plus, five star experience for its price. The make your own pancake breakfast and eggs were also very good. I would say, this property is really a good one. You'll enjoy it so much plus its walking distance to all landmarks downtown and it is also near public transportations that makes your vacation more convenient. They would even let you leave your things at the storage to explore the city more upon check out or even stay at common area while you wait for your flight/train to depart. Its the best deal you'll have given its location. The place is great but the customer service is top notch! Would love to stay here again next time ✨
There was no AC in the room I was assigned to and thought the one I booked has AC but turned out it was like a centralized AC. the place is well ventilated though and travelers often leave the huge windows open during the day. It even gets colder at night so they close the windows at night (they provide comforter and blanket too). I just got confused at first I guess but AC isn't really necessary.

I was solo-traveling (female), so safety's important to me. On the walk from the bus to the hostel, I felt totally fine. It was the same at the hostel--everyone kept to themselves, and the bedroom was quiet. The pancake breakfast was fun. The staff was nice, too, and it looked like they cleaned the bathrooms pretty frequently. Each bed also had outlets (regular and USB-A if I remember right) and a lamp. The location is excellent and there's an impressive farmer's market that goes on each Wednesday and Saturday about a block away from the hostel.
The luggage storage was super not secure (just a cage under the bed), but everyone kept to themselves, and I wasn't super worried about anything getting stolen--for more valuable items, each bed had a little cubby. Also the fridge was cram-packed. It was hard to find a spot for my sandwich.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel thanks to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff who made me feel welcome from the start. The entire place was impressively clean and well-maintained, which added to the comfort of my stay. I also loved the variety of activities offered—they were a great way to meet other travelers and explore the area in a fun and relaxed way

I arrived just before midnight, and the brunette girl at the reception was very nice and showed me around as if I'd arrived during the day. Much appreciated
The blonde girl at the reception in the morning, on the other hand, had a non-friendly face and didn't even respond to my "Good Morning/Thank you" when I was leaving my card in the black box while checking out, I found it rude. At least pretend a fake smile and say something when guests say hi to you.

Location and value of this place are hard to beat. Check in went smoothly and the hosts were all super helpful. Breakfast was cook it yourself with eggs and waffle batter provided along with coffee and tea. Kitchen was great and had everything you needed.
This power/light didn't work on my bunk, but not a huge deal. Bathrooms not super clean, but kind of tough to keep up with that with many people coming and going.
