The room was large and comfortable. The balcony is wonderful and we spent most of our down time out there. Very peaceful and relaxing. The bathroom is very small, but clean and functional. I enjoyed our stay very much. My favorite room of all I have stayed in.
Parking is a bit difficult some times as you have to back out right into traffic, which can be VERY heavy at times. I didn't like that the toilet has no cover. Great way to drop something into it. Balcony is great, but some people do smoke on them, so you do get that smell off and on. You aren't suppose to smoke out there because of that reason, but you know people, they do whatever they please.

I was charged before I got to the property which i was told to pay at the property. Then I was told I had to pay $100 deposit after I got there to check in. Very disappointed with staff.

Everything was great, I would definitely stay there again! My only complaints are, the room had a "musty" smell when we arrived and it was in the sheets when we went to sleep, it was gone by day 2 after the air-conditioning was running constant for the entire stay, it removed the humidity and smell. The second complaint is there was a weird light annoying sound coming from the wall, maybe old plumbing or something "running" in the background that none of us could figure out what it was was? No biggie it was very faint. Overall excellent staff, great location, and good value.

My family was a little freaked out when I told them we were staying in a motel but right when we arrived I knew we made the right choice! Front desk staff were all so nice and had recommendations and tips for me right when I got there. Walking into the room we could tell everything was brand new and super clean. The patios over the river were a bonus to an already fantastic place! These people treated us so good it’s the only place we would stay if we returned! Loved the town and it was a perfect way to stay away from the crowds in Pigeon Forge but still cut through on 441 to Dollywood on our last vacation day! Just don’t try to get back cause 441 closes early.
Nothing everything was great!

Nice updated room with firm bed. Loved the view, overlooking the river. Staff was understanding of my situation of needing to shorten my planned stay to only two nights and billing is correct.
It is noted prior to booking that microwave was not in the room. It would have been nice to have on in the room but this time I did not need to use it. Ice only in the lobby till 8:00 PM could also be an inconvenience to others but I was fine with it. My guess is that Booking.com only gets a few rooms so urgency of booking seemed to raise price unnecessary when the hotel was not near capacity.

Excellent location right on the river. Very convenient location. This property has been renovated within the last couple of years, and the rooms are very nice. The motel itself has been there for decades. Often times, older roadside motels might give one the misconception of being run down or out of date. This property is just the opposite. It is very well taken care of inside and out. I highly recommend it.
I have nothing negative to say about this property.

Of course the balcony with very babbling brook. Loved it! It was like sleeping beside the ocean.
I old so climbing stairs. But, those stairs with excellent to hold handrails were as good as possible.I could reach both rails and easily wrap my hands around the rails to completely steady myself, and also to use them to help pull myself up the steps. I can't remember it's equal. I definitely do not feel safe going down even a few steps, at your place I felt totally safe. As this note explains, it was the best of a sticky situation as I found our there were stairs involved.

It was very nice and clean and it had a beautiful view of the river,Mrs Patti that rub the front desk was outstanding and very polite I would highly recommend this place to anyone and good prices for the rooms.Keep it looking nice it was one of the nicest looking places that I seen from the outside in Cherokee.
The only thing I did see which was the next morning I didn't notice it until the next morning is it looked like the sheets hadn't been changed their were places on them along with hair that was from someone else.

The name of the Motel, Rivers Edge, is exactly as described. Each room has a beautiful view on the edge of the fast-moving river. The rooms are very updated, clean, and cozy. They have a small refrigerator, coffee pot, and electrical outlets for charging. The TV was a large flat screen with satellite. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fresh brewed coffee is available in the office. The motel is within a few minutes of Harrahs. The visitor center and a beautiful park along the river are just down the street. This is a little hidden gem in Cherokee.

Loved that all the rooms overlooked the river with balconies. Staff was phenomenal and very helpful! No frills but very clean and loved that the rooms had been remodeled. Scenery was great! Definitely will stay here again! Coffee in office was good.
The beds were not very comfortable. Wish ice machine was accessable 24/7 as it was locked in the office which closes at 10 pm. Parking could sometimes be a little tricky due to the location. Water pressure was sometimes not good depending on usage elsewhere.
