I loved the location because we were there for events at Spectrum Center (about 1/2 mile) and Bank of America Stadium (about a mile) and both were in walking distance. Staff was super friendly and helpful and stowed our bags for us while we attended the Panthers game. Staff Roderick went out of his way to be helpful and was so pleasant to talk to. I liked having the option of breakfast on site and the staff did a great job but just wish it was still worked into the room price as the cost of the room was high enough that breakfast could definitely be complimentary. They did say it used to be complimentary but now its $17.95 for the hot breakfast and I think $12.95 for cold breakfast. I stayed at another Hilton on 3rd St. during my last visit and it definitely was more visually appealing with the all glass showers, a table in the room and just overall more upscale. But this hotel served our purpose well and we were happy with our stay overall.

Not the hotel's fault - but it can be a little noisy from the busy street (Caldwell I think) if your room is facing it. I could/should have brought some ear plugs to help with that. And as mentioned above, I wish complimentary breakfast was still included because I felt the price of the room alone was high enough that they could throw in breakfast. But still would definitely return!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful!

I couldn't get into my room. The clerk thought it was a key issue. I ended up going to the front desk several times. Finally I was told, " the door battery was dead." Once maintenance was located, the battery was changed.

The room was clean.

The staff at reception wasnt aware that cable TV installation was going in the room. When i went to the room i was shocked to see a technician and loads of boxes scattered. I went down and the staff got me another room. It was not his fault as such. But just that i was tired when i got to the hotel at night so i found it a bit annoying.

On Booking, I selected the other Hilton Uptown (picture of hotel were matching with that hotel, not with the Garden Inn), but I don't know when in the process it has switched me to the other hotel. As for the rest, I was in the hotel only for the night, shower, and breakfast.

I didn't have time to look at everything, couldn't check the gym, the bar, nor the restaurant.

Very clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great city views, close to everything, breakfast is great.

Checking in is a bit messy, if you have a car, everyone just had to park in the driveway before checking in and got a bit chaotic. You’ll also get a fair bit of street noise at night, as car enthusiasts seem to like using Caldwell St as a drag strip.

I was late arriving (after midnight) but nevertheless the staff made sure I was warmly greeted and got what I needed for a comfortable nights rest. 5 star service.

The rate of $235 was a little much, considering I only ended up there as a last-minute booking because of an issue at my preferred accommodation. The room would have been vacant contributing zero revenue, so it could have been priced a little lower.

Everyone is nice

Parking refrigerator didn’t work I paid 25$ an you got to park illegal we came in at 1:00 this morning an cars blocking the entrance to the deck we had to back up an try to drive around cars to get in this morning an than the elevator seemed like it lost power and another guy was on there scared us on the 4th floor deck elevator

Room was nice, clean and comfortable. You have to pay for breakfast, so I can't rate, and not even coffee was offered. Parking good, no problems. Very close to the event center, walking distance.

Parking. The parking deck does not have enough parking spaces to accommodate the PAYING guests. Parking spaces fill up quickly. Although the hotel requires a $25 parking fee per night, there is no where for guests to park! Unacceptable!

The hotel was right in the center of town, convenient to everything. I will definitely stay here again.

The parking garage is a little confusing. It’s also very tight in the garage which makes it difficult for larger vehicles.
