I'll review using the BAD review complaints. Yes it's on Heathrows flight path, so has plane noise. We did ask the staff to shush the planes, which they did, but the pilots and flight control refused to alter flight paths for our stay, very inconsiderate! Yes the extractor fan wasn't working in the bathroom, so steam from the shower was in evidence, but it didn't effect the room as we used a great new invention called a door. with this closed the steam from the bathroom stayed in the bathroom!!! Yes there was a brown mark on the wall next to the bath!! this appeared to be from a new bath being installed and not quite matching the shape of the old bath. We did ask the staff if the old bath could be reinstalled, but unfortunately it had been disposed of!!! The rooms are old dated and tired!! we'll it is an old building with a certain style, that is appropriate and certainly not tired. Sarcasm aside we had a fantastic stay, the room was spotless, the staff are super friendly, the breakfasts were tasty, the bed comfortable. And kew gardens is 5 minutes walk.

This is an excellently located hotel for Kew Gardens, London via the District Line tube, the National Archives, walks by the Thames, and other local and nearby attractions. The Duperior rooms are large and, while a bit old and tired, they have everything we needed. The bathrooms are well-designed, tea-making facilities and linen regularly replaced by staff (who are very attentive and helpful). Everything in the room worked well ergonomically.
There is no lift, so it is a long way to climb up to the second or third floor with bags. However, it would be impossible to install one without major renovations. It would be really helpful to have a small frige in the room. There is only cooked breakfasts. A buffet with cereals and toast would be good. We avoided breakfast because of this.

The hotel is an attractive building on a quiet road in a leafy suburb. The room was a decent size for a budget London hotel and comfortable. The room was quiet and the bathroom was decent. Staff were welcoming and breakfast was very good indeed with quality products used. The hotel is a stone's throw away from Kew Gardens
When I booked, the information given said they issued a permit for car parking on the road. After contacting the hotel I was informed, since the pandemic, this was no longer the case, and they duly amended the information to reflect the curent situation. It was bit annoying but for an extra charge it was possible to use an app to book a car parking space in the driveway of a local house in Ennerdale Road around the corner. It did not spoil my stay at a nice hotel.

This hotel is actually a pub but its accommodation is good quality - we've stayed before and chose to return. We booked a room with a super king sized bed, which was well worth it as we both slept very comfortably. We were there to go to a Prom concert in the Albert Hall. The hotel's location is a ride on the District Line away from the Albert Hall, and means a straightforward journey there and back, whilst staying somewhere a bit quieter than Kensington or the Gloucester Road. Breakfast in the morning was a choice from the cooked breakfast menu served in the pub, and though there was not the option of cereals or fruit, the food options available are extremely high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly, and we would readily stay there again.
I'd have liked the option of Earl Grey tea at breakfast in my own tea pot - and should have asked for this, as the tea on offer was pre-made in a flask and wasn't really how I like it. We also raised the issue of putting a grab rail at the end of the bath to help guests (of any age and fitness, not just oldies) get out from the shower, but it would seem this is not possible unless the room is designated "accessible" - which it can't be as it's on the second floor and there's no lift! Seemed a bit odd to me that this could not be done but at least the proprietor explained this.

The location couldn't be better for visiting Kew. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were quite good and substantial with non-dairy options available. The hotel had charm. Bathrooms had been updated and were excellent. Bed was comfy, room was basic, but fine. Tea kettle, water, coffee & tea in room in nice glass containers was a nice touch.
The room was a little dated, with ripped curtains. My room opened onto the only balcony, which was very nice, but all the plants in the window boxes were dead and it was a little dreary. Honestly, new curtains and plants in the window boxes would make a huge improvement. Other than that, a great place to stay and I'd gladly return!

Location was brilliant to visit Kew Gardens, quiet suburb location. Room facing quiet street. Bath towels fluffy. Bed comfy, a/c unit in room but not required as windows opened. Breakfast choices goodish.- salmon & scrambled egg with extra mushrooms was tasty-.
No cows milk at breakfast time!! Tesco express just up the road! So no excuses….. Choice of cereals or fruit & yoghurt would have been acceptable but none available. First day tea in jug was tepid, as was the coffee, asked to be filled and after 5 mins brewing out came dishwater- ? Any tea bag in it. Girl serving thought I was being awkward. Bathroom- decor steam damaged and looked tired and needing TLC.

Comfortable bed. good wardrobe space. Excellent cooked breakfast menu. Also first class dinner in a lovely dining room. Nice bar area. All staff very efficient , attentive and friendly Really well-located. Very short walk to Kew village and station and to Kew Gardens
Ensuite shower room was VERY small and cramped (NB we were offered a room with a bath which we should have looked at and probably taken) We had a lovely cooked breakfast but would have also liked to have cereal and fruit. No Earl Grey tea and instant coffee at breakfast

Lovely place! The staff are EXCELLENT! The room was on the very top floor and the stairs up to the room became quite steep towards the very top. The was boiling hot but there was a fan which made the room fairly comfortable. The bed was very comfy, the shower was great and everything you could possibly need (iron, ironing board, hairdryer, clothes brush and shoe horn, tea & coffee, kettle etc). We also ate at the bar and I have to say the food was superb! It’s about 3-4 minutes from Kew Gardens Station and roughly 5-6 minutes from the main entrance of Kew Gardens itself. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Location is great. I saw people here complaining about airplane noises but we slept fine. We only wanted the room to get some rest at night and it was perfect. We picked the smallest room, shower is tiny but average person can fit in there the rest of the rooms have tub. Friendly staff. Good pick for the price.
The room was hot all the time, we had a small fan so we sleep with it on all night. We went at the end of September so outside was cold, it would be good that we could open the window all the way to refresh the room a little. Also the toilet had a weird smell when we came back at night, we had some odor drops that helped. Although we didn’t leave early enough to get out room clean the last 2 days, bathroom looked clean so it shouldn’t be a reason of the funny smell

We had 7 nights at the hotel Me and my wife We booked the budget room in the third floor (last floor) We knew before checking in there is now lift in the building and we don't mind stairs But keep in mind that the stairs were okay for the first and second floor, but the third floor has round and narrow stairs, so it will be not so easy if you have heavy luggage, but we hqve no problem with that😊 The breakfast was great We have full english breakfast all days and it was more than enough to start and give you needed power during your day until 5 or 6 pm All the staff were decent and nice in every thing we needed, they don't mind taking photo for us in multiplr days The location is great, the overground is less than 5 m walk, neighberhood is very good, safe, clean, and have wonderful buuldings and trees. Wifi was fast, but you have to register once and log in every time when you come back to the hotel
Almost nothing The budget room has too small bathroom, I am a medium weight and I move so tight in the bathroom, everything is so tight and small in this budget room, but we managed Bear in mind, no microwave, no fridge Room clean refill water every day 😊 But bath shamboo and lotion, you have to tell them to refill it every time
