Amazing property in La Digue. Loved the breakfast every morning. Helpful staff. Lovely comfortable stay in a small guest house. Very friendly environment and felt at home straight away. Lovely bikes to use every day. Would recommend to anyone visiting La Digue and would visit again!

I think bikes should be offered to guests on the first night if arriving on the afternoon ferry. The walk down to the village at night time, especially the first night not knowing the area was uncomfortable. Also, the transfer was too expensive. 10€ per party even though there were 4 parties altogether in our transfer car. That meant €40 went to the driver for a three minute drive.. rip off.

What a joy of a place! The setting, in a beautiful, peaceful garden is just wonderful. The room itself is spacious, with everything you need. The bed was so comfy, not a given when travelling. Equally, the WiFi was impressive for a small island. It worked well my whole stay. Tahiri was so lovely. She was welcoming and informative. She checked my arrival time beforehand so a taxi could be arranged from the ferry. Given the few taxis on the island, this meant I didn’t have to wait! She made it so easy to rent a bike each day too. The guesthouse is a few minutes bike ride from the ocean. The breakfast was also fantastic - one of the best I had in two months of travelling 3 countries. Stay here!

Nothing, it was super!

The room was very nice, very comfortable and spacious. Set in a very quiet, peaceful and beautiful location. Air conditioning worked very well and also nice to have a fan too. Very good bathroom. Nice to have a porch to sit outside on in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. The host was very accommodating, allowing me to store my bag in another room and make use of bathroom before leaving. Host communicated very well.

Breakfast finishing at 9:30 was slightly on early side for me.

We had such a good stay at Calou GuestHouse. The room was big and very clean. The garden is soo beautiful. Tahiri is so nice and sweet, a very good host. The breakfast was excellent, they provide a selection of eggs (either omlette, scrambled, fried etc), fresh juice from mix of fruits, local jam, fruits (papaya is delicious) and something sweet (fried banana, banana cake, creole cake etc, everyday is different). We loved it.

There was no thing we didn’t like.

Ms Tahiri is very nice, she provided all of the informations and our requests. Our room was clean. Breakfasta is very good. They rented us bicycles which are a must at La Digue. They also arranged the transfer from and to the ferry. Wifi is good.

It is urgent you change the mattresses. The bed was not comfortable, you can feel they are very very old.

Very beautyful and recently renovated huts. Built with quality and a good sense of decor. At arrival i was greeted with a nice cooling drink and some snacks by very friendly Tahiri. My hut was clean decorated with flowers and smelled really good. They have towels with good quality, clean and also smelled like so nice. Hut had a ac and ceiling fan. Very beautyful scenery and energy just like on the rest of the La Digue. I was able to do late check-out.

Perfect stay, nice staff, nice location. As we came we had room decorated with flowers as we were in paradise! You can rent bikes at property for fair price. Little further away from the centre but for the reasonable price.

We never get info about the pool on the photos but found it next door. We never used it though…

3-night visit, superb in every way. Beautiful rooms and gardens, attention to detail, good breakfast, very friendly staff, excellent value for money on La Digue. Away from the center of town but very walkable. Quiet neighborhood. Since they had no guest taking my room, I was even allowed to keep the room until my ferry time. Highly recommended.

Wifi wasn’t the strongest but that’s being very picky.

The staff was very friendly and really wants to make your stay a positive one. Bikes were good. Breakfast is a fresh fruit platter (daily different fruits), toast, omelette or other type of egg preparation and sausage, bacon or cheese and a few pieces of cake. In all the breakfast is very good and sufficient.

We recently stayed at Calou Guest House and were thoroughly impressed. The place was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The room felt like having our own private bungalow. There truly is no better place to stay on La Digue. Highly recommended!
