Excellent position with the golden circle and everything in the south easily accessed! They are indeed cute little autonomous, warm cottage houses! The northern lights were visible throughout our car travel until our arrival at the main gate, not in the cottage houses though due to light pollution. Plenty of free parking space in front of each house.

No towels provided, while the kitchen napkin looked like having stains. Moreover, some windows didn't have well functioning window blinds. Finally, as others have already pointed, it isn't easy to spot the cottages' number in the darkness and thus you may end up driving off road in the grass, shedding car headlights into the windows of the other cottage apartments in the way of finding yours, deranging them in the night. A bigger sign in front of each houses grass space would be more convenient.

We loved the location. There is a reception and restaurant (we did not use it) in a building, and the accomodation is a cottage in that area, so you have a lot of privacy. Quite clean place as well. There are not many lights in the area so it would be a nice spots to see northen lights. Inside the cottage, there was a clean toilet with shower, simple kitchen but with the necessary utilities to cook for and eat 4 people. The beds for 2 adults: two individual beds, one extra in the living area (can be also used as a sofa) and one bunk bed. The girl from reception stuff was very kind when we arrived. Also, the power went down when we were cooking and she came to our cottage to help with that. Really nice service.

Not sure if there was the option to have one double bed instead, it would have been nice. No owen in the kitchen (we did not need it anyway), no champu/gel provided (we had our own). Some bigger or thicker pillows would have been good, they were too soft.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was central to everything, with most of the big sites 10 min to 1 hour away. They keep the resort dark at night so we had great views of the Aurora. The only thing to note is to pay attention to what you are booking. I thought I booked a one-bedroom with fridge based on my search and the photos. The listing combines photos for all the varieties of the Cottages. We ended up in the smallest size cottage, which was fine, but quite small and the beds take up most floor space (ie no table or any "living" space). That being said, the cottage was as described and served us well due to its central location.

Easy to find, pickup and return for keys was simple, the large cottages were spacious with comfortable beds, everything you’d need in the kitchenette, and plenty of outlets. The views were stunning. Would definitely return!

We had the first cabin at the first turn off of the road and a few times people came to our cabin thinking it was the office. It was especially creepy at night, but everyone was very friendly and apologetic. Maybe a sign needs to be added near the cabins as they must not have seen the signs in the road showing which direction to the office. Our booking was one night in 2 large cabins and 1 studio cabin, the studio cabin did not have heat (early October), but the members of our party in that cabin didn’t tell us until check-out the next morning so we don’t know whether or not it could have been resolved by management.

Check in was simple and easy. The property was perfect for 3 adult women. We were able to cook meals, and enjoy walks around the surrounding area before embarking on our bigger plans for each day. It was peaceful and quiet, simple but had everything we needed including dishes and an electric tea kettle. Excellent value for the price. We read some reviews that complained about the hot water capacity but never had an issue, and there were three of us -- those reviewers must take seriously long showers!

We rewashed a couple of the dishes before using as previous guests had done a less than adequate job. Was absolutely no big deal, especially as dish soap and a sponge were provided.

Everything was good, warm, clean, with basics needed, super fast internet, great location, excellent restaurant on site - with great food and good prices for Iceland (in Reykjavik they were higher)

It felt a bit tight for 3 people, particularly in the bathroom, although kind of expected for a cabin. We got one towel each, it would be useful to have a second towel for washing hair etc. Not much room on the floor around the beds or anywhere else to put rucksacks, so maybe a few extra hooks/shelves would be helpful.

It was a nice and cosy cabin. We knew what we signed up for with the cabin we selected, so everyone was fine. Reading the reviews really helped. 1. Be careful with your use of warm water. It was three of us and we never ran out of water because of the advice from review. 2. Be careful what cabin you book. The most basic cabin only comes with a hot water kettle and cups. The other cabins have a kitchenette (1 bedroom or above). 3. Pay attention to the size of the cabins. They are really cosy and get the job done. We even got to see the northern lights. We took the basic as we spent most of our time out and only needed a place to sleep.

It met our expectations, so there was nothing surprising. However, possibly add in a few more items for the smallest cabin, such as utensils.

Nice cabins with all basic equipment, with parking right in front of each cabin. Restaurant and breakfast available. I don’t understand the negative reviews — the shower was fine and quite recently renovated. Everything was clean, and the staff were kind, helpful, and polite. Simple, yet more than sufficient accommodation for our holiday in Iceland. Officially a two-star property, but it definitely meets — or even exceeds — that standard.

Lovely little studio cottage but be warned it is very tiny . Great for couples/ families. Cabin was warm with radiators , comfy beds that look bit tired but are great, and nice fresh decor. and light ( windows in all directions).. This is a massive caravan site/ golf course/ restaurant complex . Also has kids playground. But still tons of space between cabins and great views - photos do not do justice. V quiet.

Lack of facilities in cabin - had mugs but no spoons, nice veranda but nothing to sit on, maintenance outside needs sorting- noisy creak from something in ( heavy ) wind.

It was nice and spacious, cozy, and it was a great location to see the auroras without having to drive out. The kitchen was also well equipped for us to make our meals there. We sadly did not get to eat at the restaurant due to our itinerary, but it looked very inviting and cozy.

There was a leak in the bathroom everything we showered. We then verified that a lug nut was missing to close it up, so we fixed it ourselves as we would always remember at night when we showered, which is when reception was closed.
