deaf when the wind blew. be sure to take something with you to muffle the deafness from the wind for the evening when you go to sleep. the wind at night can be unpleasant. it's something the owners can't control, it's nature ;)

We had a lovely stay here. Although remote, it was conveniently located for Landmannalaugar, Hella and the surrounding area. You need a 4x4 to access via gravel roads, but then that is what makes the place so special (gravel roads were well maintained when compared to the highlands - photo in review). Photos do not accurately represent the cottages... They are much nicer in person!

I was looking forward to my stay here and I wasnt disappointed. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped. Incredible views of a waterfall and Hekla. The host was very responsive to messages and very helpful. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay again

No curtain/blind on the front door, grateful to have remembered an eye mask!

The remote area is fantastic - beautiful views everywhere, very quiet, surrounded by nature! The cabin was warm and the heating system was perfect for the size of the cabin. Internet connection was perfect - very fast internet and coverage into the cabin. Perfect place for good relax!

Everything was good, just a small recommendation from my end - if there is an option to put some wardrobe inside that would be nice, as we travellers usually have huge suitcases with warm clothes and if we open them in the middle of the cabin it takes a lot of space. So I believe it would be good to have a place to put your stuff and move away the suitcase, so you can admire the lovely space in the cabin.

Love the location! The bed was comfy, the place was super cute and everything was extremely comfortable. I would definitely come back again.

The road was a little scary to get there. Definitely need a reliable vehicle when driving in the winter, but other than that I was amazing!

Beautiful accomodations. It was nice having a tv to relax in the evening. The bathroom was well kept.

The cottage was a little too warm. We couldn't open the windows because of the abundant bugs during early June. Also, the hosts hired a contractor to spread fertilizer. The contractor showed up at 22:15 and finished at 23:00. It sounded like gravel was hitting the metal siding and kept us awake. Not the fault of the hosts other than to make sure their contractors know not to work so late where people are trying to sleep.

The location is quiet, stunning views, easy to access, near enough to landmannalaugar, great installations in the cabin, perfect shower, mice beds, kitchen has all you need and the veranda is amazing when the weather is good. Even had Netflix installed.
