The cottage turned out to be even more perfect and beautiful than we anticipated! Clean, comfortable, spacious… We absolutely loved this stay and I wished we had more time to spend there. Don’t hesitate to book! When we realized upon arrival that there were two twin beds rather than one full bed (totally our own oversight, not the host’s fault) they sent someone over right away to change it for us. Top-tier service. Easy self check-in and out. They also have conveniently posted small signs on the road to help you find the cottages. I highly recommend visiting Vestmannaeyjar (the Westman Islands) while you are in the area!

The only thing I disliked was having to leave for the airport!

• Stunning view of Eyjafjallajökull – absolutely breathtaking. • The layout of the flats ensures a high level of privacy. • At first glance, the apartment seemed very clean. • The dishes were spotless, even though there was no dishwasher – a definite plus. • Cooking on the stovetop worked well. • The insulation was excellent – it was stormy and rainy outside, but cozy inside. • Communication with the host was smooth, and we appreciated the 24/7 access via the key locker.

• On closer inspection, we found personal items from previous guests (lip balm, hair ties) and black hairs on the wall and under the beds, which points to incomplete cleaning. • The notice about the hot water limitation (max. 5 minutes shower time, 1 hour to reheat) seemed a bit off-putting at this price point. • The flat is quite small for four people – manageable for a short stay, but could feel cramped longer term. • The air conditioning system was frustrating: hard to operate, unreliable, and eventually had to be turned off at the fuse box – a major downside.

Amazing stay in the middle of nowhere. Clear instructions (although we had little struggle finding the keys, go directly to your apartment number and you will find it). It has all amenities that are needed for a short stay. Amazing location and very quiet. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Unfortunately we stayed only for one night. Probably the best stay we had in Iceland.

Absolutely nothing nearby load up everything before you reach. The gravel road might be annoying, but this is just normal in Iceland. Pls. Use hot water with consideration and you will be fine (Instructions are clearly provided)

Cleanliness: 4/5 – The room was clean and well-maintained. Space: 4/5 – The room was decently sized, with a dining area and a couch for added comfort. Amenities: 4/5 – The well-equipped kitchen included essentials like dish detergent, cooking oil, salt, and pepper. TV channel options were limited, parking was conveniently located outside. Despite the cold outside, their air-cond kept the house warm and comfortable. View: 5/5 – The property had a lovely deck at the entrance, perfect for watching the northern lights. Full-height glazing and a glazed door offered breathtaking views of the field and distant mountains. Quietness: 5/5 – The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, with only a few guest houses nearby. Service: Self-check-in system using a key safe code, with no reception staff on-site.

Bathroom: Hot water supply was limited, with a recommended 5-minute shower time per person, which was a bit inconvenient. Only shower gel was provided, with no shampoo available.

Brilliant property. Wonderful view from all areas of the property and good parking and lovely deck area. Property was very clean and warm throughout the stay with access to additional heaters if required.

Would appreciate further notice of the lack of hot water access as you get access to 15 minutes of hot water per hour. This is generally fine as there is a kettle available but would be good to know before arrival. Also could have provided extra bedding for the sofa bed and have more mirrors available but generally a wonderful property and location and we would definitely stay again.

The house was so cool, just middle of nowhere but everything was equipped, like kitchenware. Just bring over food and drinks at the house will be an amazing night! The weather was cold and snowy, but we really love to see the snow! Just in front of the house with spectacular views of those mountains. Sad that we don’t have see any aurora during our stay but I believe that’s still got chance if you are in luck !!

This place was absoultely fantastic! The bath robes were a nice touch. Having a/c in the facility (only place we got this so far I have seen in iceland) was much appreciated in july as bugs are around n windows need closing. The view (when fog wasnt an issue) was phenomenal and the kitchen was properly stocked. We went in july, but this would ne a great place to view northern lights if there in that season

Brú Guesthouse was my favorite accommodation of the trip! With our views of Seljalandsfoss waterfall in the distance, glaciers, the Westman Islands and a volcanic crater, it’s a peaceful retreat! The guesthouse was comfortable, clean, and well equipped! I loved this place!

About the only thing I could say, was that it could use 2 pillows per person instead of one.

We had the best stay! Specacular view with Seljalandsfoss waterfall in the distance Incredibly quiet and scenic but near the main Ring Road. Very covenient to taking the Ferry to Vestmannaeyjar and trips to Skogafoss, Dyrholaey, Vik, Reynisfjara, and Lava Museum. Once we had a question and communicated to the host. Within 5 minutes someone instantly came to help us out - amazng! Unit was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Highly recommended all around! Would definitely stay again!

It is a very cozy cabin with clean beds,, kitchen and shower/toilet all in one place. Beddings were clean and kitchen top was small but enough for 2 to 4 people. Location was very quiet, surrounded by the mountains. Enough space for a Private parking. The owner was also super helpful. I would definitely return if I get another chance of visiting this beautiful country again.
