Swimming pool was great, staff were very friendly and helpful Darwin a beautiful city full of friendly helpful people

Three flights of stairs a bit daunting, lots of tourist information, bus service really goo!

Fabulous location. Within walking distance of the city. Plenty of restaurants and food outlets nearby, including a small supermarket and liquor outlet. Plenty of public transport nearby. The service at the Grosvenor was exceptional and the staff and host were very friendly and helpful up to and including organising cabs for us and also pick up and drop off to Kuranda Train tour. We only had to ask the question and our needs were obliged.

There was a bit of a mix up between the booking agency and the motel regarding the amount of beds we needed but everything turned out ok in the end.

Great location. Love the architecture of the building. Room was a great size.

The bathtub had tape in it to cover a crack, the hight difference of the tubs floor compared to the bathroom floor made it a bit dangerous getting out, almost fell a few times because of an unexpected drop. The pillows were wafer thin had to get my own to get a decent sleep. Electrical problems with the ceiling lights, they would continue to flicker after turning them off. One light would dim itself constantly through the night so I left it off and used the other. General maintenance needed. But still a great place to stay.

You basically pay for what you get. The establishment is quite rusty but the money it charged was fair. And the room was certainly very clean and comfortable.

The reception was occupied only for a couple of hours in the morning and then there was a supposed phone number to call, which however no one ever answered.

It had cooking utensils, washing machine, dishwasher, dishwasher pods, dishwashing liquid and sponge. As well as clothes racks, iron & iron board, mop & broom, etc. Everything you need. The list goes on

The only downside of my stay here is the gym is across the road which is not bad, however the membership key was not working when I wanted to go for a workout

we had requested two bedroom apartment and was very pleasantly surprised to see not only 2 bdrm but 2 complete separate apartments with and adjoining door- location was easy and parking easy- rooms were clean and comfortable - the service of the manager to help us with our baggage and any questions was outstanding

i guess the rooms and outfits are getting a little dated - still functioning well and clean but are getting dated- and also the climb up the stairs is a bit much for us oldies with luggage- and their being no aircon in one of the rooms was a bit of a surprise

On 1st floor apartment. Big outside balcony. Large apt so able to move around. Cosy & comfortable, also price was very good. Staff attentive. Would go back if needed a stop over in Cairns

Mattress could be upgraded. Room a bit dated...would be good to wash dishes in a sink instead of bathroom. Carpet clean but dated

I like the apartment. It was big and spacious with a big patio

I flew in late and the manager gave me the wrong code to the gate and I was stuck outside the front gate for ages, I then had to jump over so I could get my key while my bag stay outside. Lucky it didn’t get stolen.

Location and cost

The room was on the third floor and there was no lift. For someone with mobility issues this was time consuming as I have to be very careful. If I had know this I wouldn’t have booked at this property.
