Good help from the front desk. One person at a peak time, slow due to volume of people arriving.
Reception area curtains behind front desk very distracting and metallic pattern askew. A failed attempt at a ‘lux’ look that calls to mind Lawrence Welk glitz from the 50’s. Reception decor needs a refresh. Also brought to mind the worst of the 70’s / 80’s disco ball ‘glamour’. Also felt poorly lit and subsequently not ‘fresh’ but rather tired and worn. Money has been spent, but not successfully in my opinion. An off- putting first impression and the worst part of my stay at $215. Per night.

Right next to the freeway so convenient for driving. Comfortable beds. Friendly housekeeping and front desk staff.
Long waits for elevators because only two were working. The faucet in our bathroom leaked water so we had to wrap a towel around it to keep it from flooding the sink counter. We discovered this problem after being out of the room and returned to find our cosmetic cases wet and water had dripped to the shelf under the sink, soaking the towels. For $250/night, I expect the facilities to be functional.

We loved the security measures in place as it made us feel safe and secure everywhere in the hotel. Room service was great (and almost impossible to find anywhere else), anything I needed was quickly provided, and every staff member was super nice. Out of the 4 higher end hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon, the Renaissance was the best in everything. We especially appreciated the privacy of the soundproof rooms, especially when it came to eliminating the traffic noise from I-5.

Good location. Walking distance to the piers and market. Large rooms with all amenities. Very fruendly and helpful staff. They rapidly fixed a problem with the tube. good restaurant for dinong because there are not many places to have dinner around. Very clean.
Not isolated from the traffic noise at all. Very noisy even at the highest floors. Noise from the air conditioning also. The bathroom was small with respect to the room and it still has a bathtube with curtains. This is unbelievable nowadays at that level.

Location is excellent. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had.
The check in staff member didn't honor my request to not have housekeeping during my stay. And she didn't seem to care that someone has established a profile on the website using my email address keeping me from being able to check in using the website. I wanted someone to take action on this other person who is using my email address with Marriott.

There was always hot water. The towels were nice and soft. There was plenty of space in the bathroom and in the room. The view from the hotel was not that bad as we were on the 17th floor, and I suppose that higher is better. The stuff was really nice and helpful all the time.
The toiletries were really basic. There were no slippers in the room. The lighting in the room was really awful, you could not see a thing. The door of the bathroom were glass made and not sound-proof . The coffee machine was from the last century, and the coffee did not taste nice. There was no kettle.

Location
For the money I think the “club room” was basic. Club rooms as we know them offer a window of complimentary alcoholic beverages which wasn’t the case at Renaissance. They weren’t even a reasonable price. It was nice to have a quiet area for breakfast. The city is quite hilly so keep this in mind when booking here

The staff was exceptional, room service quick, amenities were great.
The only things we didn't like was the difficulty getting to the hotel and very limited parking to load/unload luggage. The location was a bit scary at night, but the staff watched over us and we felt safe. The noise coming off of I-5 was also a bit much.

The location of the hotel was close to areas we were planning to visit.
I feel that lots of hills should be noted in the description for people that are walking especially if they are elderly. Also, the fee to self park in the garage is expensive and should be noted.

Good location if you’re wanting to be downtown. Walk down the hill to the water front, Pikes Place, Restaurants and more. Also easy access to freeway and to Capitol Hill. The room was spacious, I also appreciated the environmentally friendly shampoo, body wash, and conditioner large refillable bottles vs small one time use mini bottles.
Traveled with a group - half of us booked the rate with breakfast and half of us booked room only. Upon check-in all of my colleagues who had the room only option were allowed to upgrade to the room + breakfast but when I arrived they said it wasn’t possible so some inconsistency in process and experience. Would love to see fresh pressed juice in the restaurant, the bottled kind they used tasted like chemicals.
