The location was very good. It was very clean and quiet. I felt very safe there. I will definitely be staying there again. If you stay there, try the Peddlin' Pig Restaurant just up the mountain from the motel. The food is absolutely wonderful.

Lots of stairs for aging seniors. Would ask for a more easily accessible room next time. I'm sure we could have gotten one this time; we just didn't request it. No fault of the motel at all.

Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent location for getting to multiple locations and activiies.

The pool has never been open when I've visited. A toaster in the kitchenette would be a plus. Also Kleenex in the room would be nice. Note: Booking.com indicated that check in is 4; however, check in is PRIOR to 4. After 4 one has to call security for access!

I love the value size and condition of the room. I love the pool sauna and jacuzzi as well as the game room grill and lobby. All the staff were extremely enjoyable to work with. Free laundry etc. Trying to book a spot for next year already. A wonderful experience.

I had no complaints everything was wonderful

Indoor pool, hot bath and sauna. Large activity area for families. Proximity to local sights, landmarks, restaurants and things to do.

Old building makes the hallways transmit too much sound. Sauna was not hot enough.

Stairs were a little tough for older adults. Next time will ask for lower room with less stairs.

The location was perfect for our attendance at a wedding in Banner Elk. It was very convenient to restaurants and shopping as well. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. The area surrounding the hotel was beautiful. We spent very little time actually at the site but found it comfortable.

The place is a little dated, although the bathroom and kitchenette had recently been refurbished.

The staff was so friendly. The pool and hot tub were in good condition and a great way to relax in the evening.

The floors squeak really bad so it was impossible to walk around and be quiet while others rested.

I bet families love the large indoor pool! I would have joined in the fun but I have not been swimming since covid hit. The facilities were clean, quiet and a grand place for families. Since I use a walker and I booked ahead the management was able to put me on the entry floor!

The stuffed chair was in the way of the walker and I was afraid I would fall if I tried to move it. I did not tell anyone because I was gone all day. (My fault entirely.)

Excellent location from the three ski resorts (sugar, beech, and Appalachian). Laundry is available. Hot water swimming pool. Rooms are very cozy, rustic, and comfortable. Staff friendly and kind. Clean kitchen and appliances in the studio apartments.

The exterior of the building is a little outdated. Looks like a haunted house from Scooby-Doo :) The hotel needs a better entrance illumination and signalization for the guests when they are entering the property (especially at night). It is dark and difficult to see the entrance.

Great location, amenities, value, and staff

Room is not soundproof at all, you can hear everything happening everywhere. Our room and a strong musky smell.
