Everything. The perfect hotel for people who want a traditional Japanese stay, while having the comforts of home. The staff is amazing, and the room was just straight up magical. Next time I’m staying for a whole week :)

Wow where to start... Firstly the staff were incredible. Not only were they so friendly and welcoming, their attentiveness was next level. From giving me a handmade card and champagne on my birthday, to holding an umbrella over our heads as we got into a taxi so we didn't get rained on. We were blown away by how wonderful they were. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the free drinks and noodles were fantastic. The beds were super comfortable- so much so we spent a lot more time relaxing in this hotel than we usually do on trips. We used the bath salts provided and had lovely long hot baths. We really enjoyed our time here. Great location within walking distance to the fish market which we would highly recommend- ate so much good food here and there were some great restaurants and bars nearby too.

From the first step inside, the hotel felt peaceful. Only our second night in Japan, we’re especially grateful for the warm welcome from hotel staff and for their assistance in finalizing our plans. For us, the hotel location was ideal. The bedroom design was a lovely balance of elegance and comfort. The hotel pajamas were so handsome and cozy we would have bought them if we could have! We slept very well. The 24/7 coffee and roasted twig tea drinks available in the lobby area were both convenient and tasty. And the farewell rice cracker snacks and thoughtful handwritten note were much appreciated as we took next train. We felt very lucky to stay here!

You can’t ask for anything more in a hotel at this price point. The decor is beautiful with high quality Japanese furniture in the dining room. The Japanese style breakfast is good, made with quality ingredients. Staff are lovely, friendly, and always at the ready to help. The amenities are high quality and the loungewear is the most comfortable and attractive we gotten at any hotel yet (wish they sold them). Not to mention all the small touches that make this hotel stay exceptional, the welcome sweets, choice of high quality bath salts, free drinks in the room, good quality tea, coffee etc all day, and small gift on departures. If I come back to Kanazawa, this is where I will stay!

Great boutique hotel in a funky pedestrian street with many interesting restaurants and shops. The hotel is a shortish walk from the station and about halfway between the station and the Omicho Market with another short stroll getting you to the castle gardens. Naturally the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The free udon soup prepared and handled out around 8 pm each night is a very nice touch. We were very taken by a bar with delicious food options, just a few doors along the street from the hotel. It is run by an exsumo wrestler and his staff/family. After quite a few drinks and tasty dishes, we were farewelled like part of the family. It was a very memorable night.

Everything. Even the check-in part of the stay was the beginning of the exceptional welcome that we felt the entire stay. So far, your property has been the nicest we have experienced in Japan after 9 days. The hospitality, service, amenities, offerings of free drinks and evening udon, as well as the special treat of dango upon arrival were all nice touches that made our stay unique. When we requested help to find restaurants, they pointed us to one of our now favorite spots just down the street and made the reservation for us. The room was beautifully appointed and the space elegant. The value was excellent. Our go to place to stay when we are next in Kanazawa!

There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like or can criticize. Such a well thought out and designed property with well trained staff that did their best to make us feel at home.

This is one of the best hotels I've EVER stayed in over a long career or business and tourism travel. The room was like a mini apartment! With an entry area for shoes, gorgeous wood paneling, two desk areas with chairs, and a phenomenal shower/bath area and separate incredible water closet. I could have stayed here a month! The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. The drinks in room and lobby were FREE and there was even complimentary noodles in the evening. Complimentary umbrellas were available and all the appointments were beautiful and designer quality.

absolutely nothing. Perhaps the best hotel stay I've ever had. I didn't want to leave. It's situated exactly half way between the train station and the castle and gardens which is ideal. We walked easily but you could take a taxi.

The hotel is stylish, spotless, and functional. The amenities and extras are excellent and generous. It is in a great spot in a quiet and very central location. Easy walking distance to restaurants, parks, shopping and public transport. The staff are gracious, friendly, helpful, and professional. Great value for money. It is a beautiful boutique hotel!

We were a family of 4 in a family room, which was a bit cosy with our luggage. However, the staff did recommend 2 twin rooms prior to check in for our comfort. Also, our window opened onto an adjacent buildings wall, which also was not an issue for us, really, as it was snowing and too cold to have the window open.

From the moment of arrival and throughout the stay I felt welcomed and appreciated by everyone there—everyone was very kind and seemed genuine in their hospitality. The room was excellent and I really appreciated all of the small niceties (welcome snack, bath salts, drinks, parting gift, etc.) that made me feel like I could really relax and enjoy my holiday. I also really can't say enough about the design of the room—from the layout to furniture to lighting and especially the bathroom setup—it felt unique and thoughtful and I now want to design my own home like this haha! The breakfasts were delicious and I really liked that they were able to accommodate my dietary requirements AND have something different each day. Finally, I really liked the location being walkable from the station, and also walkable to the main sights I was visiting.

I literally can't think of anything I didn't like.

The staff were great, we really enjoyed the Japanese breakfast, the free ramen served every evening was very good and there were plenty of drinks teas/coffee/juice available in the reception area. We don’t eat red meat, and the staff took great care to ensure our breakfast didn’t have any. The hotel is a short easy walk from the station and we were really taken with its friendly atmosphere.

Our ground floor room was nicely decorated, and the bathroom was good, but the window looked straight onto a car and a bunch of air conditioning units. Happily, this view was obscured by a screen pulled across the window, but the bed was just under the window and subject to cold drafts. Despite not having a great room, we still really liked the hotel – maybe it’s best to ask for a room on a higher floor.
