Bedroom was very luxurious

Very loud noise in the night constantly, sounded like the lift, didn't stop all night

Me and my little boy stayed in the executive suite, a beautiful spacious room with A LOT more amenities than any hotel I’ve stayed in before. We were greeted on arrival with a prosecco and lemonade for my son. Tv with YouTube, Netflix etc, free WiFi, free gym. The quality of everything in the rooms was great, even little details like a notepad and pen, coffee machine, iron and ironing board etc.

There was slight wear and tear in the room, such as paint chipping etc. This was very minor and didn’t affect our stay overall but if I had to speak on something to approve it would be those things but they were so minor and most people wouldn’t even notice them. Also the large overhead shower, when on full blast, the water doesn’t flow down the drain quick enough and water begins running onto the floor.

We were on the 13th floor, and we could still hear the music from the clubs. A warning would be to other guests if you got a lower floor it will be a lot louder. The room was lovely and very comfortable. I upgraded to the larger bed, and it did not disappoint. What I personally did not enjoy was the several emails on the lead up and during my stay. It was the constant that you can upgrade for 25 pounds. If i wanted to upgrade, I would. Also, the extra 15 pounds each for breakfast was a little on the dear side. I would stay again. Staff were really friendly and helped with no problems. Great location, centre to everything.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to an executive room when I checked in which was lovely. The hotel is great if you're attending an event at the arena (as I did!) as it's only a short walk away, across the road and along the canal. The room was comfortable and and clean, and the extra bits in the executive room were nice too. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Overall I would definitely stay there again if I was going to the arena.

Their website says it's a 5 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station - I'd say it's more around 15 minutes so keep that in mind if you have heavy bags! But otherwise not a problem.

I initially was given a room underneath the plant room or something like that. It was absolutely, ridiculously noisy and it sounded like a tumble dryer was rattling non-stop really loudly. Your duty manager on the day was amazing, and kindly moved me to another more suitable room And it all worked out really well. However, if I asked for a quiet room in the first place when I booked, I certainly didn’t get it.

I don’t see how anyone would be happy staying in the original room I was given. It’s totally unbreakable and the only use I can think of it would be for storage or cleaning supplies or something.

Clean, lovely bathroom, pleased with the added extras such as shower gel, body lotion, bottled water and coffee machine. Fabulous bed, air conditioning a godsend.

The screenshare on the TV for apps like Netflix etc was very slow and took several attempts to link up. The channels and volume wouldn't change at all for about half a minute. A bedside reading light would have been welcomed, and the soft lighting dimmed on and off at whim - strange. My room was situated by fire safety swing doors in the corridor which became annoying, especially during the night. The windows were really dirty, which was a shame because it just took the edge off the feel of what was a wonderfully clean room. Cleaners noisy in the corridor early in the morning so a sleep-in beyond 7.30 was spoilt.

Staff were really friendly from the moment I arrived to check in to check out. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My room was on the 4th floor and really spacious, lovely and clean throughout. Loved the rainfall shower in the bathroom!! Bathroom was a great size aswell. Although my room was main street side of hotel from the 4th floor there was no noise from the street/bars etc.... Perfect location to get to The Utilita Arena. Was a few mins down a couple of side streets and across the river bridge. Tesco express/sainsbury's 1 min walk away and plenty of bars/takeaways etc if you are after any of that!! I will 100% be staying here again due to friendlyness, access to everything inc buses/trams etc.

The customer service and customer experience is out of this world! can not recommend thus hotel enough. For the price we paid I felt like royalty. Emma at reception is an absolute diamond for making sure my booking was correct and the upgrade for my friends birthday. She is a keeper and should get a promotion.Great hospitality skills. the location is spot on breakfast was soo tasty and fresh. security was great I felt safe. We got back from a concert quite late and needed a fresh coffee and tea the stuff were super helpful and got us a fresh brew from a coffee machine. Emma and the staff that was there on the morning of 19 April doing the check in you are fab keep up the good work. The smiles and welcomes were appreciated. I will definitely be booking again.Thank you

Room 1606 door needs looking at please thank you. We were happy to stay in the room as it was all clean so we did not complain at the time. But nothing major😊

The reason I'm giving 8/10 are a few things. The gym, whilst clean, has ONE single mat which is ridiculous, and it was falling apart. They need a few more. The room had a fridge but it was noisy and there was no access to turn it off. The lobby area had been sprayed with a super strong perfume or similar and was extremely antisocial to people who are sensitive to perfume. Just little things that add up making it 8/10. But I'd stay here again if it was a good price compared to other nearby hotels.

As a group of 4 women we all commented on the fact how safe we all felt by the security on the door was a nice touch we split up once we all got bk into hotel to grab some food the other two ladies went to grab the food and when coming back a man tried to follow them in the lift and they told security that he was acting strange and was asking what room they was in security was prompt and said to the gentleman let's get the ladies in the lift first and then waited till they got off before allowing the man to get in reception staff was excellent room was spacious bathroom was excellent overall had a great time there couldn't hear any traffic or music perfect night at the hotel

I had an email of the hotel at like 6 am to remind me checking out was 11am so that woke me up but what i didn't like was we had a knock on the door thinking was our friends and was the cleaning lady it was 9.40 and she said when we leaving I said about 10.45 ish and she was like oh and pulled a face so I felt like I was rushed and she was quite rude I'll leave when I'm meant to not when she wanted us to id understand if It was around 10.40 and was asking but was like 1.30 before check out
