Proximity to Airport, very helpful staff, large comfortable room, direct communications regarding my booking, Parking onsite.

The only downside is having to wheel our suitcases to the airport. We’ve stopped at this particular hotel on numerous occasions, and an excellent hotel it is, however, now we’re getting older it’s a bit of a tow dragging cases up to the airport past the petrol station. Personally, I think this calibre hotel should provide a shuttle bus, this is the only downside for the many guests that travelling with hold luggage.

Looked & smelt really clean immediately upon arrival. The reception staff were attentive, friendly, professional & efficient. The cleanliness in all of the areas I saw was excellent. Very good sized well equipped rooms too. Quiet room which was surprising given the proximity to the airport. The waiting staff & bar staff were lovely - quick, efficient & friendly. Infact all of the staff gave the impression that they worked as a united team & nothing was too much trouble. I don’t tend to post reviews but on this occasion a good review is well deserved. Thanks to everyone concerned.

Hard to find any fault but if anything I would say that the room numbering was very confusing (other guests commented about this too). Other than that nothing . Very impressed.

The room was gorgeous although I had a bit of trouble with the air con but the staff were extremely good at sorting it out. The bed was amazingly comfortable - real quality. I only stayed one night as I was catching a flight. I didn’t have breakfast, but the evening meal was disappointing. I ordered the steak with pepper sauce. The sauce was very very watery and the steak overcooked. The parking is great, and the hotel is a five minute walk from the airport.

The rooms are a generous size, beds comfortable & lovely & clean. Very convenient & safe to get to from the airport for a lone female traveller. Staff very friendly & helpful.

The only 'gripe' I have is that it's a card only hotel for payments. I needed to buy toothpaste & toothbrush which wasn't a problem, but i only had cash with me. Living abroad, I had to pay with my Spanish debit card which added an extra cost for using this- consequently becoming expensive for a toothbrush & toothpaste. When booking it needs to state that the hotel is 'card payments only' as some of us still prefer to use cash! Other than that, faultless.

One member of staff stood out in particular - Sophie May! I didn't like the first room offered as it had an interconnecting door but it was no problem for her to find me another. The second room was perfect. Despite being near the airport there was no sound from outside. In the first room, I could hear the neighbours almost word for word through the interconnecting door. It's great for families/parties staying together to share adjoining rooms, but I found it really intrusive, hence I changed rooms. Location is spot on, it was walking distance to the airport.

- No lift. Beware! They were very busy and it was difficult to find someone to help with my luggage. The receptionist asked several colleagues and no-one was available. One of the staff from the gym offered to help me in the end! - If you are wanting to eat make sure you check the restaurant opening times as they close food service around 9pm

Proximity to the Airport, and ability to leave the car on site, this takes a lot of hassle of ensuring you catch your flight on time

Returning after a long flight to pick up the car you have to get the ticket validated . However a simple exercise that takes seconds actually took 20 minutes. This is because the same staff validating the ticket are also responsible for booking new hotel guests in. Surely a more efficient system could be in place for those people who’s only objective is to have their car park ticket validated

Everything was fantastic about our stay at the hotel, but what made it truly stand apart were the staff. The receptionist at check-in was kind and helpful, and supported us in ensuring a late check-out which was a game changer when travelling with a newborn. We also received a free cot which was very comfortable for our little one. Location wise, you couldn’t get a better deal - close enough to the airport and Donington Circuit, spacious car park and good taxi/Uber service if you need it.

Communications were excellent when talking to head office but were very poor at East Midlands with the phone not being answered. I think the room we stayed in had been refurbished since last year.My only dislike is the distance from the flight package parking and the distance from reception to our room. I am knocking 80 , and 25 kg cases and 10 kg hand luggage are a bit more difficult than they used to be. I will enquire if it’s possible to have a room a little nearer reception next time.Otherwise the hotel was exceedingly good, Thank you

Lovely hotel, bar restaurant and the closest hotel to the airport. Staff super friendly and my room was gorgeous

The hotel was really noisy at night which is to be expected with an airport hotel with people coming and going at all hours. I think I was unlucky to have 2 groups on my floor who were really loud and spent the whole night coming and going from their rooms and slamming doors. Not the hotels fault but I didn’t sleep for a moment all night and defeated the object for me of booking an airport hotel. Would stay again as I said, this was no fault of the hotel

Night Manager man was very helpful as my key didn't work. Me and my child had just got off the plane. The two men on the desk answered my questions this morning. So those staff was fantastic help to us.

The older lady who was booking and serving people this morning was quite rude to me. After answering several times about not having a booking she eventually let me and my child have breakfast. A little while later, she then sent me to somebody else when i asked for water. She just had a really bad attitude like she never wanted to be there.
