The room rate

It's too far from the mall. Have to walk to JBCC. NO staff explain the location of the hotel or how to go about spending time. Hotel staff spend more time behind the reception desk. A number of hotel staff chit chatting among themselves behind the reception desk. No dustbin at the lift landing, hotel lobby.

We were only there for a quick stop as we carried on to Singapore early the next morning. Check in and out was easy. There lobby had a welcome drink for when we arrived. The room was small but clean. The beds were comfy. It was very easy to get a grab in the morning to go to the border crossing for Singapore. Breakfast was decent and hit the spot before we continued on in our travels. Thank you.

- Indoor parking - Attentive and excellent staff - Modern and comfortable room, emphasis on comfortable :) - Clean room - Cool aircond - Okay pillow and bed - Complete breakfast (western, asian, egg station, coffee machine, etc)

- Parking entry/ exit terminal are at awkward positions. So, drive competently - Room is not well insulated against sound. During my stay, heard muffled chatter and the sound of water running through pipes and sinks from the room next door. Not blaming them, just noting that it was relatively audible. - Difficult to switch from overhead shower to handheld because the button is stuck. Had to use both hands to pull the button back out to switch to handheld showerhead.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were well received. The food and the buffet breakfast at the restaurant was good. With good coffee.

It was abit small and there were tiny little butterfly -like insects in the room. Quite a number of it. No Smart TV, no YouTube or Netflix, disappointing. Could booking.com do something about the search for Holiday Inn as I booked the wrong hotel, I thought this was next to City Square Mall. I heard it happened to quite a number of visitors. Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre Holiday Inn express (only this was shown when search) Thank you

Staff were very polite Breakfast Spread Room was very clean & smells good (Please maintain over the years) Bedsheets were properly made, pillows were very comfortable Air Con, TV, Wifi, Fridge works well Separate toilet & bathroom is good idea

Breakfast: - Fried Noodle spread can be more variety(maybe children friendly) - Consider to have Mee Soto instead of Noodle Soup - Nasi Lemak was good but Sambal lack of sweetness(quite sour taste) - Egg session should have opened at 7am but it was opened only after 8am - Local Coffee too light Room: - Both toilet doors not fully covered, door sides can still be seen from outside - Small Shower head not working(knob too hard to pull/push) - Overlooked to place towels but this is okay - No iron & iron board (need to proceed to Laundry Rm @ L2 to iron) however it will be abit hassle for Hijab guests please consider to provide in Room. Please also consider to have a complimentary card for Entrance & Exit of Carpark.

The room and friendly staff was a win. They also allowed check out at 1pm by request with free of charge. They don't have iron delivered to the room but have a laundry room at the 2nd floor (washing machine, dryer and iron + board). There's also a gym.

We came down at breakfast 9.20am on a Sunday and everything was finished. Whats left were the breads and omelette station which obviously had a long queue due to no other foods being replenished. Wish they had catered the food to the number of guest staying in.

The check in team was great - especially the manager who checked us in. He himself brought our luggage and made sure it was comfortable as booking.com team gave inaccurate information of our booking ( no fault of the hotel). Had a good selection for breakfast.

The rooms were small - we had a twin room - so if you are group of 4 it will be quite tight. one bedroom had a single tiny window and the other didn't have any - so no natural light. To enter the carpark you need to go all the way around the hotel (another 3-4 mins), thats if you drove into the lobby directly as the parking is located in the rear side.

Value for money, small but comfortable.

I asked about the mode of transport from Johor Bahru to Singapore the day before our departure, the staffs didn’t inform us that the road around the hotel would be closed for a marathon event the day we check out, and not during our check out nor while we were waiting for an e-hailing cab to get to the checkpoint. It has caused us so much unnecessary stress trying to get to the checkpoint and to the airport, not knowing the cab couldn’t get to us. The staffs should be briefed or the hotel should display information on road closure.

One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've seen in Johor Bahru. The breakfast buffet spread was also good compared to other hotels in the area. Note that the egg station and Malaysian kuehs are only available at 8am onwards. I had a late check-in and I requested for a late check-out, the staff offered us a 1pm late check-out which was nice :) Nice view of nature and trees from our room.

The design of the room amplifies noises. Air con and mini fridge sounds can be heard during the night, perhaps the room needs more carpeting to dampen the noise. Noise from the corridor and next door room can be heard as well. The location is near City Square but only within driving distance. There's nothing to explore via foot. An observation - not a good or bad thing but I realise there aren't any Singaporean travellers during my stay, which was surprising as Johor Bahru is usually popular amongst Singaporeans.

Our room was quite spacious and very comfortable for our family of four. The breakfast was also satisfactory although we wish there was more variety of food. Property looks very well-kept considering the location and price.

The entrance to the parking area was a bit difficult to locate at first. I arrived first just me and my daughter and there was no staff available to help me unload my bags. Also there is no staff/bellboy to help with my luggage hence I had to push the trolly all the way to my room by myself.
