Such a charming coaching inn! We loved the character, the wonky floors and the traditional decor!!! Straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Our room was huge, nicely appointed with all one would need.. The bed was so comfy! The staff were very helpful, including the new barmaid who had only been in post for a few days. She did a great job! We had our breakfasts and supper at the hotel, great portions and just what you would want and expect from a country inn. We loved the onsite pub, spent both evenings with a few pints and chatting to locals.
Our only very very minor niggle was the water pressure and the length of time it took the water to get hot, but that's to be expected in an old building.

Great location. Friendly & happy staff. Very comfy bed. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Quirky room. Original features still evident throughout. Very reasonable nightly rate.
I liked everything but note. Yes there is room for improvement of the âtiredâ decor in places but given it is a Grade II listed building dating back to the 1700âs I think a bit of understanding on the reviews should be taken and an appreciation that many of the original features of the building are still evident. Well done to the team for keep the old place going.

The George and Dragon Hotel is a charming traditional pub in the village of Wycombe, with a warm atmosphere, exposed beams, and classic decor. The rooms are lovely and well-decorated, with very comfortable beds. The food at the pub was excellent and offered great value for money, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. The hotel and Wycombe are in a great location to explore some fantastic hikes nearby. We went trail running and visited the Hellfire Cavesâa perfect spot for a long weekend!
Our room was just above the street and pub, so we could hear quite a bit of noise and music from the pub. Given that the hotel wasnât fully booked at all, it might have been easier to place us in a quieter room.

Pillows were very thin you needed to bend them in half to get the same height of a normal pillow. Bedding was clean but the actual bed base was all stained and filthy looking. The shower curtain was mouldy. We did like how spacious the room was. The bar was nice, the happy hour was a good price. Everyone seemed very friendly and we enjoyed the time we spent in the bar. The garden was also a great place to sit.

Lovely medieval building in historical village. Our room was large and very comfortable and warm. Modern facilities in the bathroom. The bar was very popular but we couldn't hear anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.
Maybe information about the hotel facilities such as the menu and the WIFI number (we noticed the item on our way out in the evening) and maybe a handle for the shower/bath to aid getting in and out. It's a very deep bath!

It was historic, characterful and in a great location Close to Hughenden Manor, Hell Fire caves, West Wycombe Park and great walks. We didn't eat here as late arrival and early start next day. Room, bed, shower all good. Despite being on a busy road our room overlooked a garden and was quiet so even with window open we had a peaceful night. The staff were lovely. We will return

Great location for The Chilterns and visiting the sights around West Wycombe, including the Hellfire caves. Enjoyed a pleasant countryside walk to Adams Park to watch the football - great setting for a football ground. All the staff were really friendly. We ate in the pub in the evening and enjoyed what we had - Lasagne and chicken burger. Great beer garden and also seating in the courtyard. Would recommend the Apple Orchard across the road for breakfast and lunch - great cakes. The Plough pub across the road has been recently renovated and enjoyed a drink there.
No real criticisms from our stay. The pub no longer serves breakfast but there is a great cafe over the road - The Apple Orchard. I had read about noise issues but didn't hear anything after 11pm which is reasonable for a pub.

What an absolutely amazing place to stay! Friendly staff, big rooms, comfortable beds, cleaner rooms, and this touch of history. There is a lovely pub downstairs, the staff is friendly and helpful and there is a romantic garden area. I already plan to be back here for my holidays, and I will stay at the exact same hotel.

this was the full English-generous serving We really lked the evening meal-the fish and chips-which was very well cooked-and we remarked on the same at the time. Our room was very comfortable-traditionally furnished- with a decent hospitality tray-and bathroom adjoining the room.. good drawer and wardrobe space
no Vegetarian alternative offered if so desired-but the meal provided was as advertised at the hotel entrance
