We liked the overall feel of the place. Clean, cosy and with a romantic-feel 4-post bed! Spacious room. It's a bit outside Stratford but not very far. There's a train station not far from the inn, so travelling via public transport won't be too difficult. Lovely pub too! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return the next time we visit Stratford or the surrounding areas. :)
Just a few things... The hot water tap is really hot.. so better careful. Not many shops around, should you need anything. Pub's kitchen closes around 7 or 8 pm so if you're a bit late, get your food somewhere. We appreciate that there's a warning not to drink from the tap, potentially due to the difficulty of changing old lead pipes, given the building's age. So, come prepared with personal items. The place has a vintage-antiquey feel, but I think it adds to the overall beauty. I just highly recommend the place! :)

The place is full of character and old fashioned charm. Bed was comfy and shower surprisingly powerful. Although we overlooked the road, it was quiet at night. Hotel managers were helpful and friendly. Chef went out of his way to talk to me about providing a gluten free meal.
Floor in our room was very creaky and when people next door moved around, our floorboards creaked. However our son's room was on the other side of the building and he said his floor wasn't creaky. Gluten free menu options limited. Chef said he's not allowed to use the local butcher who sells GF burgers and sausages.

the owner was so welcoming and friendly. The service was top notch and the breakfast was delicious. It's had a great atmosphere and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The manager even gave me the complete works of Shakespeare for me to pass on as I'm in the entertainment industry.
The owner explained that having taken over the business earlier this year, that the property when he moved in - was not in a great state, so they have been working on it as they opened and that his next project is to renovate the bedrooms. The bed was not the best. And I imagine they will be part of the sprucing up.

Really good value for money. The staff are friendly and work tirelessly to make sure you as a guest are looked after. The rooms are of an adequate size. Very clean, throughout the pub. Good food. I have based my rating off of what you as a guest are getting for your money. If you want a modern room or a period room, you are not going to get that. Not for the price you are paying. What you do get is a very clean, friendly place with not 5* food but not cheap nasty food either. I hope this review clarifies what exactly you are getting.
All good.

Sunday folk band was great, going into the pub was like the film, Hotfuzz, 3 kids play card in the corner, the local folk band of about 20 were a frendly bunch, very talented, the staff was great, and the locals friendly, rooms were a bit tired. But clean and comfortable and I would return again, it a shame that there is no option for food, It would be good to have take away menus in the bar so people can order and eat in the bar as long as the spent money behind the bar and the most important, dog friendly x
There is no option for food

Did not want breakfast due to a enjoyable, filling meal the night before . The room was clean ,comfortable and spacious with good quality bed linen and towels . Lovely quiet village location, with ample parking . Good access to exploring Stratford upon Avon either by walking along the canal or by public transport . Bus service and train station close by in the village. The inn had a good selection of wines and well kept ales .
More Vegetarian options would be appreciated

For us, it was a great location as we cycled into Stratford one day and Warwick the next. It's a shame the tow path was closed but we still found a good route to Stratford. Our room, King Lear, was lovely, spacious, comfortable and clean. Loved the bed!
The pub was very quiet ( great for us at night) but no atmosphere. We didn't have breakfast there, despite there being a menu in the room, no-one said anything when we checked in.

The king lear room was beyond beautiful, the bed was a dream come true. The staff were polite, funny and the pub was friendly and welcoming. The room was large. Mainly clean. Cobwebs here and there, tiles a bit loose in the bathroom.
The shower whistled loudly making it unusable. Parts or the room needed a good dusting, especially on the bed posts. Did t detract from our stay or how lovely the room is. Simple improvements like dusting and cleaning and fixing the floor tiles and shower would have given this review a 10/10.

Lovely location. Friendly owner. Relaxing atmosphere and mark was very helpful. Outside area was nice and spacious. Comfortable bed. Rooms a good size.
Few things need doing but the owner is working on it as he’s only just taken over management. Needs a make over but it does not effect stay. Tv in my room wasn’t working.Hair dryer in another room not working. Small things need changing. Kettle’s hairdryers and tv’s.

Good quiet location in Wilmcote village, close to railway and canal. Short run to Stratford-upon-Avon (3 miles) Large room, (Romeo and Juliet suite ) with comfy armchairs, large ensuite, large tv, four poster bed and plenty of tea and coffee facilities provided.
Some small niggles in room, e.g. ensuite door handle falling off and not many places to hang clothes while washing. Bit dated, but it is an old building, with lots of character.
