I had never been to Cornwall before so I had no idea and no expectations. I didn't realise until I got there that the hotel is in such a fabulous location right on the beach. I expected my room to be small because I booked what I could afford but despite the size, it offered everything we needed. The food was second to none and I liked the small menu because too much choice is confusing! The staff on all levels were fabulous. Going the extra mile, nothing too much trouble and even when frantically busy had a smile and accommodated my requests. I will definitely recommend you and we will be back!

Couldn't fault it but for to say that housekeeping often failed to take dirty glasses, bags of rubbish that I left next to the bin though perhaps that's a hotel policy - only take what is IN the bin. This is just an observation not a criticism!

The accommodation was very convenient for us as it is right on the SW Coast Path. It has beautiful views on the sea. We arrived after 5 pm (8 pm), so we had to get someone from the restaurant to check us in. This was done relatively promptly, although the restaurant was extremely busy (Saturday evening). We didn't have towels in the room, but that was also sorted quite promptly after contacting restaurant staff. We appreciate their speedy help, especially given how busy the restaurant/bar were that day. Prior to arrival, we asked about having a twin bed room, which was acknowledged, and we had a positive response, but on the day, this was not possible, we were told. Later that evening (just before the kitchen was closing at 8:45 and when it was no longer so busy), we also had dinner in the restaurant. The food was okay, although we had to wait for it for quite a while. We left very early in the morning, so we did not try breakfast.

The location was perfect to access the beach. It had a lovely bar and eating area. Breakfast (included), was really great. Room and facilities were nice and clean.

Room was a little small and was level with neighbours house with direct views into their dining room. Roller blind felt insufficient for privacy, especially if you wanted to open the window. Only one towel supplied for two people. There was a power surge which turned off the water pumps so there was no water in bathroom for a while, and no sense of urgency from staff to get it fixed. Reception area barely attended and long waits for attendance, had to seek out staff member to get checked in.

The apartment was spacious with spectacular views. It was clean with comfortable & stylish furnishings. We didn't do much in the way of cooking as the food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and a fair price. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen was fully equipped with the added touch of a pint of milk, tea, coffee & sugar . The staff were polite & helpful. The lift was an added benefit for those who have mobility issues. If you forget your beach towel you can hire them at reception.

The only shop in the area is a small Spar that is overpriced. Recommend visiting a supermarket close by.

Lovely spot 2 mins from the beach at low tide 5 mins at high, with a great Italian style restaurant.

The room was a bit snug and the window opened up to the rear of the property, and at night staff having their cigarette/break could be heard from the room. We were in bed early following a busy day and this kept us awake. The rooms at the front were stunning with balcony views of the surfers and the beach.

Location was just perfect, staff friendly and accommodating. Food was sensational. Must try the belly pork it’s beautiful.

The only thing I can think of to mention would be in room 8 the tv has 2 defective lines that run across the screen it wasn’t a big deal but it did at times take my attention while watching tv at times. But it really wasn’t that much of an issue and didn’t affect my stay here in anyway. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Perfect location to relax and enjoy Polzeath, whilst being right on the coastal path ready to hike to Port Isaac and enjoy the fabulous coast. Located a hop skip and jump to the beach, perfect for a sunrise sea dip! And a few minutes walk away you can enjoy the saunas on the beach. Great food, both at breakfast and for our evening meal; with amazing views across the beach. Room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and perfectly cozy.

A stones throw away from the beach

For £250 a night we would expect our room to have more than two fans to help with the heat I would really advise in upgrading rooms with aircon especially in the summer months and being in a back room at the top of the hotel it was very warm and uncomfortable in the evenings as we didn’t have the breeze from the sea .. not great for parking we could never get a space out the front and you would expect there to be some kind of reimbursement for guests for public parking £10 a day works out a lot of money with this you don’t get any kind of discount for the restaurant either which would be a nice bonus and would entice more guests to book the restaurant below

Perfect position overlooking sea. Lovely bar area and places to sit. Nice outside area, with beautiful views. Easy walk straight onto beach. Clean and bright and smelt like a spa. Very comfy bed and crisp white pillows/sheets. Fridge in room, with milk and water supplied.

We knew our room didn’t have sea view, but it looked out on road and back garden of houses and just had a glass door/window. Was clean and nicely decorated though and we didn’t spend much time there.

Bed was very comfy. Lighting good (no light above mirror or it wasn’t working). Tea and coffee making facilities were great. Large bath towels and fluffy too.

Window Blind let in a lot of light at side so early wake up! We were next to corridor door which was heavy so slammed shut every time someone left/ entered the corridor. Shampoo and body wash shower containers were empty but we had our own.
