Exceptional room, though it was left for cleaning and tea/coffee, etc, not replenished . The bathroom door had an almighty squeak. Soon sorted by the soap dispenser. Could not cure the loud gurgling from the basin. Goodness only knows what size tog the quilts were. Far too heavy and hot for the summer stay. Only ever 1 receptionst in foyer at a time . Silly when there were often coaches arriving. You had long queues if you needed to speak to anyone. They just would not answer their phone when busy. Avoid breakfast before 8am as it was always manic and packed. Restaurant staff were brilliant. On first breakfast, there were NO mushrooms, though they were printed on the menus . Told each day they would try and get some. Cost of breakfast was quite expensive but a tad cheaper if paid for the night before. Food in the restaurant was nega expensive. Plenty of eateries a short walk away. All stall were good and we felt a bit over worked. When waiting to be allowed to enter for breakfast, it was pathetic that staff had to stroll through mounds of scruffy paperwork to see if you had paid. In this day and age . Neverthe less, we would go back because of its proximity to City Centre

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Particularly one of the staff members that was there to greet us at breakfast time. He was very good with children and made my little girl feel at ease, who was a little nervous of strangers at the time. Room service was excellent and arrived promptly. Though the menu was rather limited where children are concerned.

The room service menu was limited and there wasn't many options available for children. I asked if it was possible to make a plain tomato pasta for a child. Whilst the team were very accommodating and helpful. There was a miscommunication and instead of receiving a pasta dish in a tomato based sauce. I received a bowl of plain pasta with chopped tomatoes. Unfortunately my little girl wouldn't entertain the dish so we swapped meals. In the future it would be nice to see more variety on the room service menu to include child friendly meals.

This was our second short stay at this hotel, the room was a good size and as previously we were really pleased with it and could not fault it in anyway. We really appreciated with the hot weather recently, to be able to control the air conditioning independently as we have found in certain hotels this appears to be controlled centrally. The location is perfect as you are just a short walk from the Marina and Barbican areas, together with a large selection of restaurants etc. We cannot comment on the breakfasts as we had some busy days planned and choose to skip them.

Checked out of The Duke of Cornwall as it was filthy and checked in with you. Your hotel was absolutely OUTSTANDING in comparison. It even smelt beautiful at reception whilst checking in. Room was spotless,comfortable and remarkable value for money. One of the best hotels if stayed in for a long time.

My room was overlooking the back of the hotel. It could do with a freshen up out the back I feel. The bins had rubbish around them. It was a pity as we arrived at the back of the hotel. But it was an amazing surprise as we got out of the lift at reception. Amazingly friendly staff.

The bed was comfortable and managed a good rest the first night, although on my second night someone in a nearby room was smoking both weed and cigarettes making my night extremely uncomfortable and miserable i was nauseous and didn’t sleep at all, i was extremely exhausted next day when i have to check out and take a bus to Tavistock. I don’t know why people were allowed to smoke inside the hotel when i call at 2am to complain to reception there was no answer, next day i complained again and the person at reception apologised but that’s all, I don’t think this was investigated at all, i was very quickly dismissed after the apology from the reception person.

Some members of the stuff didn’t know about the services and times of restaurant. I was confused of were i was allowed to eat they sent me several times between restaurant and the bar. The reception stuff was very helpful and were the ones that helped me at the end with everything.

I have stayed many times at this location which is really ideally suited to my needs when visiting Plymouth to deal with some on going family business. The staff as always are polite & helpful. My room was clean & reasonably comfortable. There is parking near to the hotel & close to the city centre shopping area.

Although no the hotels fault my stay was made difficult by the noisy guests in the next room who had the TV so loud that i could hear the programme & it meant that instead of being able to get to sleep as planned ready for an early start & long day I had to endure the noise until past midnight. Unusually the room I was in also was noisy from outside that particular day. I had not had any previous experience of this sort of noise in any of the previous rooms. May just have been unlucky this time.

The staff were really welcoming. Everyone greeted us with a smile. The room was really comfortable with Aircon so we could shut the noisy outside world and still feel comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and light with a lovely shower and the bath was brilliant too. Perfect size TV that we connected to for films and the bed was wonderful too. I think that this was excellent value for money and we both really enjoyed ourselves. We paid for late check out and we had breakfast in the morning. Huge selection of cereals, cooked breakfast, pastries, fresh fruit, meat, cheese, coffee, teas, porridge and juice. We were really impressed and would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this hotel recently and had a fantastic experience. It’s just a 15-minute walk from the train station, making it really convenient, and the location is perfect for exploring the area on foot. The hotel itself was clean, tidy, and ideal for the occasion. Special thanks to Bailey at the front desk—he was absolutely wonderful: friendly, helpful, and very professional. Chris at the bar also stood out with his bubbly personality and excellent service. Both really added a personal touch to our stay. Overall, a great experience thanks to an incredible team!

It would be nice if there was a bench outside or somewhere for people to sit if smoking outside or to just genreally enjoy the sun.

Location is great. Room is comfortable. Food is good. Chris has exceptional customer service experience. Clearing tables as he goes , always have time for customers and nothing is too much trouble.

Unfortunately not so good service in the evening. Restaurant had napkins on the floor the entire time we were there. Waitresses not seeing it as they walk past. Ordered a coffee, had to go to the bar for the spoon and sugar. . Wine was spilt on the bar and glass when pouring and left . The two young girls need to be more aware of trip and slip hazards like food on the floor..

I stayed at the Leonardo for a week. It was a very enjoyable stay. I had a twin room which was quite spacious. Our room was spotless and the beds comfy. I was on the 5th floor which was lovely and quiet. Although my visit was mainly for pleasure, I did have to work online for 2 days, which also worked well, using the desk in the room. Our room booking included breakfast which has very good. There was both Continental and full English available, together with free tea, coffee and fruit juice. I love the location of the hotel to Drake Circus; to the Royal Parade for bus connections elsewhere and to The Hoe. Our daughter is studying at the University and her accomodation was also within walking distance to the hotel, so it was great all round really.

There was a good breakfast selection but I would have liked more vegetarian option for breakfast. Maybe Eggs Benedict or Smashed advocado with scrambled egg.
