Staff -- Welcoming and approachable staff, made the effort to greet you upon entry and around the hotel Room -- The room was pretty exceptional with all the renovation work finally completed . The pop art look made the room feel so much more warmer and inviting than some of the hotel's in the city. The mattress is central between soft and firm Location -- You're a minute walk from spoons :)
Balcony -- Only real pet peeve, as the balcony is one big balcony between rooms with separated glass railing, you can see other guests quite easily across from you. As well you cannot smoke on the balcony if that's of interest of you as well as the view being a bit..meh.

Wonderful, welcoming staff. Each staff member smiled and interacted, which gave such a lovely feel to the place. The perfumed scent of the foyer and reception was a nice touchna , along with the decor of the entire building was inviting and modern. Location is perfect. The breakfast was so delicious, I had fluffy French toast with berries and honey - wow!
I loved it. The only constructive things I could comment upon are that it is quite noisy at night time (but obviously it’s the city centre). I just turned the air con on high power to drown it out. Also, there were no coffee sachets in the room (only hot choc). Obviously it’s fine, but if you live on coffee (like me), then I’d advise taking some with you :).

The first thing we noticed on entering the hotel was the smell. It is gorgeous and adds to the lovely atmosphere at reception and in the bar area. Every staff member encountered was friendly, attentive and knowledgable. Credit to the hotel. The room was big, bright and comfortable. The newly refurbished Social Bird is comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was amazing. The hot choice menu was vast and the best I’ve seen at a hotel in addition to the continental options. The pastries were delicious and huge! We were delighted and started the day on a full tummy. Location is central and perfect for us travelling to the Newcastle United match with the stadium being no more than a 10min walk. Great value for money overall. Would definitely stay again. Tip - pay for parking at reception for discount.
Slight issue with toilet area which has been taking up directly with the hotel.

The hotel is located close to the train station and is easy to find. The food was delicious although I’d definitely suggest specifying what time foods are available from. My partner and I got a bit confused as the pizzas were shown as 24 hours but we waited an hour for ours and when we called to ask about them we were told that it wasn’t on during breakfast, despite it being shown as 24 hours. I wouldn’t put the rating down for that however, the room we were in was spacious and comfy, the bathrooms are lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is ideal. Price wise is typically a bit out of my budget but you definitely get what you pay for here. :)
As previously stated it was just a bit unclear about what food is running when or maybe we just caught a bad morning, I don’t think a lot of people would typically be ordering pizza in the morning though. I’ve also found at other hotels it’s been hard to tell what times certain foods run from and until.

Great location near the station and the heart of the city, but slightly removed from the usual rowdy Friday/Saturday night revelries. Room was thoughfully designed to deliver what I needed e.g. plenty of sockets, somewehere to dry my wet face flannel. I liked the decor - stylish, modern and classy.
Overall the pluses far exceeded the few fairly trivial niggles - for example teabags etc were kept in a decorative tin tea canister so that to pick out what you wanted you had to tip out the whole contents onto the bed and then put back all the bits you didn't need. Also the notice explaining the use of the air-con controls didn't correspond to the actual control panel (I mentioned that to the recptionist as I checked out and she just expressed surprise, but I didn't get the impression that she'd do anything about it).

Good location for the city centre with parking. The car park isn't a big one but we were able to get a space. The room was clean. The breakfast was okay too. When we returned it was good to see someone in the entrance checking guests coming in actually had rooms there. The bar staff were very chatty and can do.
There was no early check in and had to wait until 3pm on the dot. The bar was like a departure lounge with disgruntled guests waiting for their rooms. When I went to reception to check at 3pm, our room was still not ready and had to get another. They also tried to charge for parking but pointed out we had this included. When we went for breakfast they were herding guests onto tables all next to each other in one part of the room which was rather claustrophobic, prompting us to request another table where we weren't all stuck together. Throughout the stay there was dirty linen on the ground near the lift on our floor which remained and gave the impression of a dirty hotel.

The bed , for a king bed I would exspect a king bed not two singles pushed together as the beds separated easily

Lovely clean hotel. The room was nicely styled and looked freshly decorated, and was lovely and quiet. The air-con was a wonderful added bonus for an unseasonably warm weekend in September. Slippers and robes were provided in the room as well as a fridge, also very welcome. My friend and I had twin beds, which were incredibly comfortable, I haven't slept that well for quite a while. We did have a drink in the bar one night, which was lovely and seemed well priced. Great central location with public parking - we would definitely stay again.
It was tricky to find gluten-free breakfast options in the hotel, so we decided not to risk it, Parking - bays could be wider.

Clean and conveniently located
Got there and had to come down and wait in long queue again as card wasn’t working. Asked if someone else could help but was told to wait for reception booking people. Frustrated as had arranged to meet friends but got late. Equally the reception chap explained how card should not be with mobile even though we’d just got the card ! Then on return from night out at 3am had to knock on door for ages even though security guy was sat near door and two night staff were on and again went to room but had to come down again as card wasn’t working. Frustrated as happened twice.

Great relaxing vibe, downstairs bar/diner area relaxed and eat anytime without hassle if booking. Vast bar selection, great food!!! And like that at night when come back to the hotel they check your room number and name on entrance to ensure your staying at the hotel so that the bar isn’t full with people who are not staying there. Parking onsite £14 in car park behind hotel, breakfast and £30pp dinner included in stay, I mean that’s a bargain in itself. It was a clean, trendy hotel. Great breakfast options too, even got a paper bag to takeaway some muffins and fruit with us for eating in the room.
Only tiny little issues was the room doors all had the habit of slamming as opposed to closing gently so this will wake you in the early hours with people coming and going, and the hardwood floors in room and the sound of high heels, but these things happen.
