The staff were fantastic, very helpful, sociable and knowledgable as we needed to sort out taxis and public transport whilst we were there. Really excellent customer care. Really quiet at night even with a wedding party staying. The breakfast was great and lots of options, plenty of space in the kids room for 3 beds. I liked the style of the hotel and the fact that it had rooms that were accessible for disabled or prams
Our double room was a tad on the small size for my liking, the air conditioning was tricky to figure out and the back stairs wall rather needed some repair work, but it was a large oldish building.

This was a really comfortable stay, the rooms were clean, spacious and well presented - very comfortable.
The breakfast was a continental breakfast, and was fine - it was have been lovely to have had the option of a hot breakfast too.

The staff were warm and welcoming and I really loved the historical and ornate vibe of the hotel, especially the fact it was the founding place of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) (acknowledged by two plaques at the front entrance); the names of two of the suites in tribute to two local legends, Richard Burton and Katherine Jenkins, and the decor of the rooms and corridors: wooden beams, oak-paneled walls and paintings of the Welsh countryside. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, with a TV and an en-suite bathroom. The continental breakfast was delicious and filling, while the bar provided a welcome night-cap after a busy day of work and wandering!
Perhaps it is a better idea to have black curtains in the bedroom instead of blinds, as the powerful glare of the two lamp posts outside my window made a bit difficult to get to sleep at first. There was also quite a lot of dust inside one of the bedside drawers, meaning my bag got covered in it! Nevertheless, this was a pleasant stay.

Travelled to the location to attend a fuction, room was large and spacious, however was cold!!! a plug in radiator was provided, although I asked for a accessible room was given a room on the second floor,£65.00 direct via hotel yet paid £85.00 with booking.com a lift was prescent, however our room was rite at the back of the hotel what seemed like a maze and a lot of steps up and down different levels to evenetially be able to get to it,Asked to change rooms as it was not disabled accessible and told no other rooms available so was given late checkout as a gesture of good will, but still booked the room 10/11 weeks prior, but feel request was not read although received acknowledgement
Non accessible room as requested when booked 10/11 weeks prior to our stay

The Hotel was/is close too the Railway station, which was great for me arriving via the train. It was open till late, again a bonus for me. The Hotel has it;s own free carpark, ok it;s 75metres from the Hotel but still Good. The room was clean, not immaculate but good for what I paid. I slept well, the both nights I stayed. The last call for breakfast to finish was a little early, another 30 minutes would of been nice but it is what it is. I was disapointed I had too leave the hotel for dinner but there are good many places too eat within walking distance of the hotel, so not too bad. All in all, I had a lovely 2 nights in The Castle Hotel. Thank you.

Chose the castle as usual hotels in Swansea were either booked or overpriced, Neath is only a short drive out of Swansea . Castle hotel is in the centre of Neath close to shops, restaurants and bars . Nicely decorated hotel with plenty of character inc our room , room, very clean with everything we needed, we enjoyed some drinks in the comfortable hotel bar before going out. Breakfast was included in our booking and for the price was very reasonable All staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient , would definitely consider staying again when visiting Swansea

The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of choice. The bar was great. Pancakes were amazing beds. Very comfy, lots of pillows. Lots of towels. Lots of tea and coffee in the room. Lots of products for the bathroom what made it more was the staff they were just exceptional. Kind friendly, inviting lovely people
Paint flaking on the bathroom ceiling. The seals around the toilet and the bath were dirty. The tiles and the bathroom floor could have done with a better clean room had been kind of decorated but not finished. Furniture was mishmash, but the cleanliness and the finish of the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Lights came through the gap in the door of the entrance to the room. The handle in the bathroom on the inside was broken. The chester drawers next to the bed had no drawers in windows. Could do with a clean. Very noisy of late night and starts around 6:30 in the morning. Listening to deliveries and the next door rooms, TV and them showering

Superb location. Revamped Hotel smart but not lost all of its character. Room and bathroom spotless but on the small side. Comfy bed and choice of pillow. Shops and pubs etc virtually on the doorstep. 5 minutes walk from railway station.
Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, even the hotel supplied shampoo etc was on a ledge just above floor level, no shelf above the sink either. Limited plugs - to use tv needed to unplug the kettle! Stayed 2 nights and breakfast exactly the same both mornings, glad I didn't stay for a week! No food available in the evening in the bar and restaurant closed. Small windows with wooden slatted blinds and also with curtains with pelmet making it dark.

Location, helpfulness, car park. Clean and warm (in some places, too warm... eg corridor near Rm 8!
All was good, apart from breakfasts. Disappointed there wasn't a cooked breakfast, but understand the cost implication. HOWEVER, would really appreciate a review of content and quantity of continental. Just put on good-sized, fresh croissants, fruit options, fresh bread (+ cereals and yoghurt). Will cost the same or less as current offer, and be much nicer.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was suitable Breakfast was convenient
I didn't like that we weren't contacted in regards to the difficulty of parking, and gaining access to reception due to the fair being on, apparently it's an annual thing a heads up and choice to change our booking would of been nice considering we were booking 6 mths ahead We weren't able to access our room until after 10pm due to the parking restrictions
