Location. Rooms where well appointed although anyone with mobility issues would not manage as multiple steps and stairs.
Bedroom looked out into an extractor route from the kitchen. Felt very claustrophobic and hemmed in. If visiting ask for a bedroom facing the street as this is the only position where you may see daylight properly.

Very close to paddington station which was very convenient and lots of places to eat. Place was clean. We booked a large room and I would honestly hate to see the small rooms! Anything we asked staff for was not a problem and bottled water on arrival. Was warm for a building with single glaze windows.
Lift played up the last 2 days we stayed not ideal at all. I understand it is a listed building and lots of restrictions on what can be done in rooms and not but I do not understand how they are not allowed to have heavy blackout curtains this would help with heat cold and noise! Bed not very comfortable

Clean room, cosy bed, superb a la carte breakfast! Artistic atmosphere, nice interior design. Perfect location by the Paddington station. Excellent public transport: the Elizabeth line takes you fast to both Heathrow and the city centre. Good pubs nearby. Several sorts of quality loose tea were available in the kitchenette throughout the day. Treated water and takeaway bottles are provided in the lobby from a beer tap.
I still do not like British double faucets. I seriously lacked some shelves or any horizontal surface. I just could not place my stuff anywhere, neither in the room nor in the bathroom. There was no place for the clothes apart from the two hangers. No shelf, no wardrobe, no drawer, nothing. There was also no place to open the suitcase other than the bed. This issue really needs overthinking.

Rooms were well finished and felt very cosy the bed was very comfy and the pillows were great the shower had plenty of power and it was quite warm
The windows were not very sound proof they also had very bad draft coming through the bottom of the windows… the shower was very small. There was no place to lay your things . The room needed more hooks to hang jackets as there was only for coat hangars which I used for my clothes

Room was nice, hotel quirky, cooked breakfast fabulous especially the eggs. I have been trying to find eggs with yolks like yours but to no avail, I should just phone and ask 🤷‍♂️ staff were great and easy to deal with. The Pizza restaurant across the road, San Marco was amazing too, mad but genuine Italian with Italians as customers.
I think that you could fit new windows with double glazing, it was a bit cold in our room but ok once the heating got up to speed but lots of condensation in the bathroom. I know it is a big expense but that is the only thing.

When we asked to change rooms, they worked to make that happen and were responsive. Once we moved to the new room, it was wonderful. The nice view outside of the window, the interesting, hip design of the hotel and the rooms were great. The lobby and lounge are very cool and a nice vibey space. The coffee shop in the lobby has great coffee and pastries. Still and bubbly water available in the lobby to fill water bottles.
The location is very close to the train station so the tacky souvenir stores and a constant throng with rolling luggage come with that proximity. Just a half a block away would have been ideal. The first room that we were in was not great...the view was looking at an ugly apartment building and the room was small. Most of the rooms have this view, I'm afraid. The W wing has the view looking at the park and I don't think there are many rooms in this wing so we got lucky that we could move to one of these rooms. The charging plugs are under the bedside tables that you have to get on the floor with your phone light to find.

Great location right near Paddington Station. Quirky accommodation with a nice retro feel to the features - especially the bathroom. Nice breakfast and a nice place to have a drink after a busy day exploring the city.
Some of the staff were not so friendly, they were there to 'just do their job' and nothing else. Like most London buildings, this does not have air conditioning, so the rooms are very warm/hot even with the window open (max 5 cm opening) and the very noisy fan running. If it is hot weather and you don't like being hot at night, then seek a hotel that has air con.

I stayed here very last minute as I couldn’t get home due to Storm Bert and was stranded at Paddington. I was so lucky to get a room here. The room was cosy, warm and clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower powerful and the staff welcoming and friendly. I was given a bottle of water on arrival which I appreciated and there was a refill station in the reception area. I liked the overall design of the hotel and the fact that checkout wasn’t until 12. The lounge area looked great. It’s also perfectly located opposite Paddington Station. I would definitely stay again!
I was a bit thrown by having to cross an outdoor walkway to get to my room in the adjoining building, which was a little unnerving in the dark, wind and rain - I found out in the morning that there was a way to get there without having to go outside which I’d have appreciated! The walls are thin and my neighbour was doing some epic snoring, plus the sound of others trying to cross the walkway woke me a few times because the strong wind caused the door to bang loudly. I’d have loved a kettle in my room to be able to make tea - there are pantries where you can do this but it would have meant crossing the walkway again. These are all very minor points though and overall I was really delighted with my stay.

Location
Housekeeping is considered a courtesy, which for a longer stay can be a challenge. There are so many germs when traveling, and it’s summer so bedding gets sweaty. The rooms are carpeted partially or fully, and it didn’t feel clean due to these factors. It’s very cute but it’s put style over substance, so you get £11 glass of wine that you can go to any neighboring pub and enjoy for £6.50. It has large bathrooms but awkward sinks, it was hard to navigate the set up. Having spent much time in boutique and trendy hotels, such as Hotel Congress in Tucson, AZ I found that there was an intention that is terrific but it was missing the key detail of ease one is seeking in a trendy budget room.

>I enjoyed the room and the easy access to the train station. >Reception staff were also helpful when it came to directions etc. >The rooms were nice and neat. > overall location was great! > Barely a five minute walk to major transportation lines. >Near numerous cafes and restaurants. >Near a handful of convenient stores for any last minute needs.
>The reception desk is odd and can come off as unprofessional, but the space is compact so it makes sense that they just sit at a small table. >Rooms were very small so, if you are more than one person with several bags I'd advise against those rooms. >Not a lot of surface area to put your things on either so most of your things will probably stay packed, unless you dont mid having a really messy room. >The cafe staff were a little curt and the matcha latte was watery. > You can hear the outside and your neighbors but not a disturbing amount. >The hotel is a little bit of a maze so you might get lost due to unfamiliarity but you'll be okay!
