Ideally located in the centre of town. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable beds. Good shower and bath. We stayed with our 14 yr old daughter and we shared a room so she had her single bed in set aside part of the room with a wall between which she really liked as it was a bit of privacy. Breakfast was very good - we had delicious eggs Benedict and a Scottish Breakfast.

People have commented about the noise but we wore ear plugs and it was fine. However in the morning the pub opposite was sorting bottles so it was a little noisy but it don’t wake us as such as we were already awake. One small thing about the room - we couldn’t get one of the bedside lights to work.

Friendly helpful staff, the location and parking availability. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the hotel seemed popular with locals who looked to use it as a meeting place (morning and evenings) which is always a good sign. Being on the main street there were several eateries nearby so we didn't have far to go for our evening meal. We stayed in January when the temperatures were below freezing but the room's radiator worked really well and the hotel was warm. The real fire in the breakfast room made it a very cosy start to the day.

Well located, central and handy for everything local or wider afield. I stay often in this area for my long drive South (or North). The staff were all very attentive and smiley, which I appreciate. Mark, an employee of 20 or so years, was committed to good service and had smashing client facing readiness. Mark was like a mine of local information and willing to engage with all my questions. I asked him about for potential disturbance, given I needed to sleep. He looked into this for me and reported a darts match beneath my room 110. The room had all you need making it perfect. The breakfast choice and offer was abundant and with a stove creating a homely warmth as did the smoke and welcome of the breakfast staff and tasty Scottish breakfast. I loved the large dining and lounge spaces, very classic and with an elevated view over the centre of Annan.there were lots of eating options nearby ne I enjoyed the proximity of places to eat and also park my car.

Apart from the gentle thudding of darts beneath me, which if anything was soporific, I was awoken at 3-4:00am by loud voices chatting in the corridor outside the room. That really put me off an otherwise impeccable impression of this hotel. That’s other guests rather than the hotel, but it did wake me up. Next time I’ll insist on a quieter room. The bath was great but I’m too big for their bath, so it felt a little bit of a squish. I asked if there was a kipper option, sadly no. I wish they had the WiFi code written on the room instructions.

The hotels greatest asset is definitely the hard working and friendly staff. The hotel is very clean throughout, excellent breakfast (I can definitely recommend the porridge) We had a problem with a lack of hot water for a while but everyone worked tirelessly until it was sorted....things do sometimes go wrong but it's how the problem is handled which sets the professionals apart, the guys at the Corner House excelled.

Nothing to dislike....

Parking at the back, Friendly staff, gave all the information when got there and made sure everything was ok at the end. The staff were around all day and there was numbers of anyone was needed from 10pm. Secure with front door being shut and 10 and individual keys were given to the people staying. Very quiet, even though they have a function room, bar and kitchen. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, Can pay when you get there and cash or card. Although could do with some bigger towels. But that’s nothing really.

The staff were friendly and accommodating from the first moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble, they provided us with some local knowledge about the area and some of the things to do within the local vicinity. The bar was lovely a quiet, something that I appreciate, rather than overcrowding, the drinks were reasonably priced. The food was wonderful. We liked the fact that the location was a mix of town and countryside, we enjoyed a lovely Riverside walk, and a lovely meal in a restaurant within the town.

My partner is 6'2 and the bed was too small all round for him. The shower didn't work properly, therefore we had baths all over the weekend - which is usually lovely, but when you just want to jump in and out a bath isn't the most convenient.

A brilliant stay! The room was so comfortable, I liked that I could control the heating in the bedroom and the room was nice and toasty. Wash facilities were lovely, shower was really nice, and hot. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. Really nice location, right in the town centre and surrounded by shops and restaurants everywhere. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made, and lots of vegan/vegetarian options. Best stay I've ever had.

Nothing, absolutely brilliant

The location of the hotel was perfect for a wedding I attended at Kinmount House. The staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. The twin room I had was clean and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The cost for the two nights was very competitive. I didn't have breakfast but had a lovely coffee from the bar. I would recommend, The Corner House Hotel and hope to be back again sometime.

The only small gripes I had were the shower over the bath. It seemed dated and for anyone with mobility issues, it wouldn't be the best. I was scared of slipping in the bath. In fairness, I should've told the staff about my issues before I came. You have to use the taps for the shower to come on and the soap, shower & hand sanitiser units were empty.

Annan is a lovely little town and the Cornerhouse has very welcoming and accommodating staff. Our room was bigger than expected and very clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a large bathroom, also very clean. The facilities include a cafe and bar which we didn't use as we were out most of the day, but the breakfast was lovely. No problems with parking but noting it is behind the pub next door. It has a little local cinema just around the corner which was a fun break from the normal sightseeing. I loved the architecture in the town.

There are quite a few stairs to climb, and our room had the shower in the bathtub. Okay, just, for us but to be mindful of if you have mobility issues.

The warm welcome was a lovely start to our 2 night stay here. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us; just how hotel service should be, with a special mention to Madison who we saw most often - a credit to the team! Our room (101) provided all we needed. The bed and bedding were comfortable, clean and soft (pillowcases & duvet cover were very nice). No view as such but as we were out most of the time during our stay that didn't matter. The breakfast choices were good - we enjoyed a full Scottish on the first morning (excellent 👌🏼) and a really delicious cheese and ham 3 egg omelette on the second morning. The hotel location was just right for us - being central for the things we wanted to walk to (Solway Spirits, Annandale Distillery and Lonsdale Cinema) whilst exploring Annan town and surrounding areas on foot.

Cannot think of anything - our expectations for this hotel were met and exceeded, particularly with the friendliness of the people working there.
