The hotel was in a good setting. My room was modern and spacious. There were far reaching views from the outside terrace at the rear of the hotel. We were able to easily walk to everything we needed. . The car park was at the rear of the property and was very secure behind a tall stone wall and a large locked gate. There was a good selection of products for breakfast

Whilst the car park was very secure, it was at a much lower level than the hotel and there was no lift - only several flights of exterior steps. It is much better to unload your luggage at the front of the hotel, then move your car/motorbike to the car park afterwards.

Beautiful room with gorgeous view of the Camino coming down over the hills. Nice living area with tv also. Large luxurious bathroom. Convenient location in Astorga. Perfect place to stay for two rest days while recovering from shin splints. Receptionist Sarah was super helpful! She helped me find a physiotherapist, and made the appointment for me. She was exceptional! And after two days rest and excellent treatment I was ready to walk the Camino again. Thanks, Sarah and Francisco for fixing me up! And thanks Eurostars Via de la Plata for the wonderful restful stay!

Everything was wonderful

The room and bathroom are both very large- the bed is comfortable and huge! We stayed one night and we had a beautiful view of the countryside. The hotel is located in area close to restaurants and shopping choices. We were not on the Camino this time in Astorga but this hotel would be a good Camino pilgrim choice since a laundromat is close by and and the breakfast is very good to help you recharge before starting on your morning Camino. They have parking and that is a big plus. Make sure and park on the street before you check in. They will give you a key card to open the parking lot gate. Find a good "locals" restaurant for dinner. Some of the restaurants nearby looked too touristy. We had dinner at Pizzería L´Isola Che Non C´e because the restaurant owner and staff treat us like family (on this trip and our previous trip).

Location at strategic fringe of visitor relevant walking route. Really large 30 m2 room with very pleasant bathroom. We heard no noises !! Breakfast elaborate and nicely presented. Interesting building and terrasses around for evening outdoors but no hinder producing for guests. Beds are great and all is clean and fine.

For us it was a bit confusing to find out at the spot that one can drive up onto the proprietary space in front of hotel entrance in order to check in. The subsequent short drive to park on own closed ample parking is a bit extra work but unavoidable for the setting and topography of town. All in all a minor unavoidable drawback .Some ceiling lamps in the corridors are damaged and polluted , a pity... please repair.

An exceptional staff was the highlight of our stay. The front desk team, especially Andrea, went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were traveling the Camino by bicycle and the hotel provided secure indoor storage for our bikes. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and an excellent value. The location was perfect for exploring Astorga. Would have been nice to have a bar to enjoy the great views from the property.

For an additional fee, guests have access to a very clean and relaxing spa with a steamroom, pool, warming lounge chairs, etc. The room had a great view, and it was right on the camino, so we got to meet some of the pilgrams hiking to Santiago. There are tons of shops near by, and some great restaurants. This was one of the nicest rooms on our entire trip to Spain.

The hotel is located right in the old town, in walking distance from all sights of beautiful Astorga 🤩. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Super friendly and professional staff. Very good breakfast (except for the dry scrambled eggs but that’s ok) and VERY IMPORTANT for lactose intolerant travelers: oat and other vegan milks, not easy to find in Spain 🙏🏻 Fabulous views over the valley from the terrace

They have a huge free (!) parking below the hotel which can only be reached by stairs. It’s quiet steep so not suited for older/unfit people or if you carry heavy suitcases. Better leave those by the hotel reception, drive the car to the parking and walk up the stairs by yourself Other than that: nothing to complain. Would come again 😊

We stayed at Eurostars Vía de la Plata – a beautiful hotel located in a historic building that was once the Convent of San Francisco. After hours of walking the Camino in unusually hot weather, the massage felt like a true blessing. Everything was spotless, stylish, and very welcoming. A perfect place to rest and recharge.

If you are a pilgrim looking to treat yourself this is a great option. I was so happy to see the hotel near the entrance to the city after the long and hot walk. Some of the other places are on the other side of town. The room was really big and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were really nice. The spa was super !

I had to pay extra for the spa which I thought would be included as it is advertised as a spa hotel
