Brookdale House was perfect for my needs - close to the airport and close to my office. It was neat, clean, comfortable, and friendly. Eric and Herman were great hosts, and the breakfasts were very good.

A shaving mirror in the bathroom would have been nice. There is no mirror above the basin in the bathroom, so when shaving I had to keep going backwards and forwards between the basin and the mirror. This was not a major hardship, just a bit inconvenient. Also, a fan in the bedroom would have helped. It was extremely hot in Cape Town. I know the booklet in the room said I could ask for one, but I feel one in each room would have been more convenient. Apart from those two small niggles, I enjoyed my stay at Brookdale house.

Everything. Kevin and Herman are fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely comfortable rooms. We had a hankering for fresh caught and cooked Kingklip and Kevin ensured our wish was his command 😉. Went on two tours organised by Herman, bespoke to us. Both tours were fantastic- Cape peninsula accessing beaches not covered by the commercial tours #muizenberg, #Scarborough, # mistycliffs, #simonstownharbour. Trip to Franchoek and the wine farms again superb 👌. Rickety Bridge was my favourite with the superb Harvest Platter for lunch. Even got a transfer back to the airport following our stay. Would definitely recommend and return.

WOW! Where to start? I arrived at their door 30 minutes after making the booking. Room was ready and I was greeted warmly (my bags were even taken to my room). My room was comfortable and clean and exactly what I required. However, the next day I was offered an upgrade without me even asking. Breakfast was great but the big bonus was I was offered dinner. As I was travelling alone this was very welcome. They even accommodated my vegetarian diet. Wifi was good and worked during load-shedding. I cannot fault Brookdale House in anyway.

The staff was friendly. Felt like I was visiting good friends while I was there. They cared for my wellbeing and was always making sure I was comfortable during my stay. I felt secure and sometimes even home. I recommend this place for everyone looking to break away for your travel dreams. Heads up on the food as well, I have to put emphasis on the food!

Hosts were very warm and welcoming. Went out of their way to assist us in any way. When we were out for whole day and come back, lights were switched on and curtains closed. Ice bucket awaits us!! Breakfasts really good!!

Kevin and Herman were great host and the accommodation was good as well. Their dinner recipes were tasty and we enjoyed it. Our son enjoyed looking at the pool and red fish. For winter season, may be a small heater might help as the room did feel very cold compared to the Netherlands even though the temperature range was the same

Everything was just right - not too much or too little. Clean sheets and towels, clean and peaceful room, comfortable bed, WiFi working. Good breakfast.

I had to disclose the three digits on the back of my credit card, in order to pay for dinner. I do not like that as it is not secure. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

I was looking for a quaint place to surprise my wife.I wanted us to spend a few hours.I liked everything about the place.It was cosy, spotless,had everything in it and Kevin and partner were absolutely welcoming and accommodative of all our needs.

Nothing except regretting that we did not sleep over..

The service was exceptional - you feel welcomed and comfortable. The recommendations of the staff allowed for us to explore Cape Town relatively inexpensively and we knew we were coming back to a quiet, peaceful place to stay. Excellent experience.

Everything was excellent! Lovely Hosts truly outstanding, nothing too much trouble. Comfy airport shuttle, a great location for all Cape Town highlights, delicious dinner and breakfast, luxurious bed in a beautiful room and a snoring Father Christmas in his little bed n the hallway! Many thanks to my friendly hosts.
