Everything. As you drive up the sweeping drive way, sheep, chickens, Cockerells and a sassy goose all come out to meet you. The house is beautiful, warm and full of character. Room was lovely, clean and spacious with fresh bedding and towels. Torch provided foe night walks back from Richmond. The walk into Richmond takes around 30-35mins and be prepared, it is hilly. I can not praise our host Gill enough, she sent messages as soon as we booked and looked after us with advice on local walks and a bang tidy breakfast. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Nothing to not like

Rural very peaceful, pretty gardens . Fantastic location for our dog - she loved running around the fields. Only a short enjoyable walk to Richmond. Spent time by the river and Castle. Variety of places to eat and drink.

Bed was not the most comfortable- but it was ok for 2 nights. Advertised as exceptional breakfast ……. I don’t like to complain but I felt breakfast options were very limited to any component of a cooked English breakfast. Simple additions such as yoghurt, fruit bowl, perhaps avocado or smoked salmon would have been nice. I have stayed in many B&Bs on walking holidays and these are often regular choices without much effort.

We stayed here for 2 nights, Gill was amazing she went above and beyond for us to make us comfortable and enjoy our stay. Such a little gem of a b&b not far from richmond, a lovely location with beautiful surroundings, a short walk threw the fields with our little dog so peaceful a pleasant to richmond. Room was lovely beds were comfortable and the breakfast was amazing again Gill making sure we got everything we wanted asking us what we want for breakfast how we would like our eggs what toast we would like nothing was too much trouble for her we will definitely be returning hopefully taking our children with us. Thankyou Gill for a lovely weekend.

The Ginger field farm was outstanding with the full farm atmosphere surrounded by country side and the sound of the sheep goats and hens truly amazing..The B&B was wonderfully clean and full of character the breakfasts has a lovely choice and freshly cooked so always red hot plenty teas and coffees in the rooms plus hairdryer dressing gown slippers ect you could not ask for more great host and great accommodation could not recommend this place any higher would definitely return again

The location and views from the house are exceptional, beautiful scenery and yet, so close to Richmond town centre. The welcome from Gill was top class, personal service, specifically tailored to individual needs, it was ... At the risk of repeating myself, simply top class. The eclectic mix of animals roaming freely added an extra dimension of sheer escapism!

Low Gingerfield Farm is a home away from home. We were greeted by lovely Gill and all her animals which made us feel welcomed straight away. It’s a great location where you can either walk to Richmond in 20 minutes or drive in 5. Gill is very accommodating and just a genuine lovely person to chat to. We visited for a wedding in the area but we would love to go back with our dog one day. The B&B is super quiet and set away from the main road so we had a great sleep. We really enjoyed watching all the rescue animals and especially stroking Esther the goat. Thank you again Gill for your hospitality and hope to see you again soon!

We loved everything about Low Gingerfield Farm! The whole farm was beautifully decorated, and it was so special visiting over Christmas with the log fire on and all the decorations. Gill was the most accommodating host and made our stay so special, and every detail in the property had been thought of. The location was perfect, and just a few minutes drive from the lovely town centre. Being able to take our dogs was fantastic, and there were so many beautiful walks close to the property. We really didn’t want to leave and have already looked when we can come back for another stay. Thanks to Gill for making our stay so special.

the breakfast was amazing its also close to at lot of castles we was a couple staying with a small dog the bedroom was wonderful it really made my weekend away

nothing wouldn't change a thing my dog loved all the free rooming animals like sheep and a goat and they even had a goose my boyfriend got woken on the first morning as he wasn't used to the cockerel slept straight through the next Moring lol

Very doggy friendly. Our host Gill made sure we had everything we needed, and cooked excellent breakfasts - loved the strawberries with honey yoghurt. Room very spacious and comfortable. Location was ideal for visiting Richmond - only a 5 minute drive away.

Only very minor things - shower not very powerful, no towel rail in bathroom, tap missing a top.

A lovely place to stay which is just outside Richmond. It has wonder views of the countryside. What makes it pleasant that it has farm animals such has chickens, goose, goat and sheep. The room was very nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was exceptional! The owners were very pleasant and helpful.

A bit muddy outside which is all due to an exceptional rain over the last few days, otherwise it would be fine without any problems.
