Helen was very welcoming and friendly and made a great first impression when we arrived. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well-appointed. Helen clearly goes the extra mile in terms of quality, e.g. with the bedding, bathrobes, towels, etc. The cooked breakfast was delicious, everything from the quality of the coffee to the thickness of the toast. Wonderful place.

We tried to connect to WiFi in the room, more out of habit than necessity, but I think the signal was too weak. We both had good 4G reception though so this was not a problem at all and we were only there for one night. It certainly wouldn't put us off staying there again.

Cosy BnB with very spacious rooms, separate private bathrooms that were very clean. Lots of amenities - coffees, teas and hot chocolates in the room and toiletries provided in the bathrooms. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of options to choose from (the host, Helen, was amazing at catering to my coeliac diet- providing GF porridge and toast). Location was perfect, with lots of parking and closely located to Richmond town centre (less than 5mins walk). Helen was a very gracious host, very welcome and accommodating.

I stayed in room 3, which overlooked the cricket ground in the distance. The room was lovely, cosy and a good size. Whilst it was just 5 mins walk to the centre, it felt like it was out in the countryside. It was so peaceful. The breakfast was fresh and brilliant quality. The sausages were amazing!! Helen was a brilliant host and incredibly accommodating.

It was perfect, I liked everything. It would have helped if there was a lamp on the dressing table, but this isn't in any way a negative.

For a BnB it felt more like a country house hotel. I loved the elegant decor and beautiful furnishings. The cosy robes and slippers were a treat. The cooked breakfast was superb and the room was stocked with quality tea, coffee and biscuits as well as bottled water. Everything we needed was provided and nothing had been forgotten. The parking permit was really helpful as we could park in a car park just outside for free.

The enterance is hidden and hard to find. It is located off a car park not the road so we did struggle to find it. After payment is received maybe detailed directions would be useful. The bathroom was private but down the corridor a little. Not a problem really in a place this size. The shoe rule was fine for us but some people might find it annoying.

Such a beautiful, characterful cottage in a great location with free parking right outside. Helen was a very friendly, caring host from the off! My sister and l had a lovely 2 night break, with the bonus of a cool room in the heatwave. The breakfasts were awesome, with a great variety, and the little extra details all added to us feeling very valued and locked after. We loved that she called us by name and was interested in our days. Thanks so much Helen! x

Nothing, other than Booking.com causing an issue with our selected twin room being a double...which Helen was able to rectify thankfully! Not sure l will use Booking.com again in future though.

location excellent, just 2 minutes walk to the centre, really enjoyed breakfast, large bed, very comfortable. Free parking with disc, immediately across from the entrance to the property, Easy travel to the two villages we wanted to visit to listen to 2 brass bands, Reeth and Muker as part of the Swaledale Festival

The steps through the garden entrance a little bit awkward for people with walking difficulties

Location perfect for the centre of Richmond. Breakfasts were made to order, Helen was a very friendly and helpful host. The cottage was kept very clean. Free parking in the car park adjacent to the property was a bonus

Both my wife and our friend are disabled and found the external steps to the entrance a little bit difficult having to take care but that did not detract from the break

Ideally situated and only a 2 minutes walk into the town centre. In a quiet location with ample parking. Beautifully kept home, which was well kept and very clean. Lots of little extras, including toiletries and refreshment trays. Superb breakfast with quality ingredients which were well cooked. Very friendly and attentive host.

There was nothing I didn't like about the accommodation. Everything was exceptionally good. Hard to improve on perfection. Hope to return again some time in the future.

The host - Helen was a great host, very friendly and welcoming, lots of local knowledge. The breakfast - I had a selection of breakfasts from the menu, the cooked breakfast is not to be missed, the bacon and sausages are sourced from a local butcher and are lovely. If you're feeling very hungry or have a long day out in the dales ask for 2 sausages, it'll keep you going all day! The location - The location is very good, tucked away, but a quick walk into Richmond town centre

Helen, the hostess, was great. We phoned ahead and arrived early - no problems. Parking is easy; the property entrance is on the left as you drive into the public carpark. Upon check-in, Helen will give guests a parking permit to display in their car. The bed was super comfy - haven't slept so well for a long time. The breakfast was also excellent; made to order and all freshly cooked - including oven hot pastries. If ever we revisit Richmond, we will stay here again.

Nothing, really.
