Amazing location in the countryside, not far from the famous thermal spring of Saturnia and one of the most beautiful medieval villages Montemerano. This area is great for cycling. The complex is located on a large well-groomed territory, among olive trees and vineyards. There are 2 swimming pools, a restaurant. There is a paddock on the territory in which several wild horses live, of which there are only 85 individuals of this breed left in the world. The hosts are very hospitable. You can buy olive oil, wine and jams of their own production. We stayed in one of 10 chalets with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, which had everything you need for cooking. There is also a separate building with rooms according to the type of hotel.

Perfect location, beautiful part of Tuscany. Very friendly owners ready to help with everything you need. Great swimming pools with beautiful surrounding. Actually everything is much much nicer then on Booking pictures :)

Everything was perfect.

This was our favorite place that we stayed at during our travels around Italy! My wife and I were looking for a peaceful refuge in between our crowded stays in Rome and Florence, and we were so happy that we booked two nights here at Relais Ciavatta. A friend of ours stayed there a few years ago and she highly recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. We rented a car and made little trips to some amazing, beautiful nearby towns as well, such as Pitigliano, Bolsena Lake, and Civita di Bagnoregio - upon the recommendation of our lovely hosts. These were all breathtaking places to visit, and the serene, natural beauty of Relais Ciavatta was an ideal place to call "home" in between those excursions.

The place is incredible. Surrounded by nature, the facilities are very well-maintained, and the room was excellent. Good breakfast and attentive staff. Very close to the thermal baths and top wine producers. Will return and recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Relais! Marco and his family were the friendliest hosts, the room was comfortable and spacious, and the pool was pure magic! We enjoyed our daily breakfast (eggs, pastries, fresh fruit and meat selection) and went on daily trips around the area (beaches 1 hr away, medieval towns 3-30mins away and thermal springs only 7 mins away). Make sure to book a reservation at their restaurant on site. It was so good we went twice! The Relais Ciavatta Country Hotel was romantic, peaceful and captured the beauty of Tuscany perfectly. We can’t wait to be back!

The cottage was in a beautiful location with horses behind the cottage. The thermal baths were a short drive away, and the restaurant was right there on the top of the hill, which made dinner especially convenient. I think that in summertime this place is like farytale :)

Since it was humid outside, the house was also humid, the clothes were damp in the morning and the wet clothes did not dry out by morning either. The radiators were only hot for a short time in the evening and that was not enough.

Wonderful location( the bird song in the morning was stunning ) The supper in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel itself, the family give you such a warm Welcome, fantastic room, location and breakfast… ans as for their olive oil!!!!! Delicious

An absolute gem in Tuscany. Beautiful property which is what we enjoyed the most. Quiet and tranquil. We sat outside looking at the stars and it was amazing. Very friendly interactions with staff. Close to the hot springs and nearby towns. Loved this stay so much. Would come back again.

The shower only had warm water but I’m not deducting anything from my review. I just enjoy hot showers.

Comfy beds. Strong shower. Good WiFi. The pool!!Perfect for small children as has a very shallow section so we were able to sit from the side to watch them splash about. It’s beautiful! Although careful of the sides which are a little sharp, we burst 3 pool floats. Wonderful owners, Marco and family, who went out of their way to make us comfortable.

The cottage could do with a little love, don’t expect luxury, but considering the price we were happy.

Beautiful location, quiet and idyllic, lovely pool, great breakfast and very friendly and professional staff, good WiFi. Fantastic experience, we would happily return!

When we booked, we didn’t realise there was no a/c in the two-bed apartments. It got very hot inside by mid afternoon but the staff quickly brought us a second fan, which helped. Luckily it cooled down at night (we were there in late July) and we could sleep with the windows open.
