Fantastic central location. Lovely views of town from bedrooms. Really pleasant reception area. Friendly staff. 1960’s vibe from the building.
Although the buffet breakfast was lovely, some of the strawberries and tomatoes had mold on them.

Breakfast was delicious, great variety of options! The staff were all very kind and friendly, providing great suggestions for sight seeing (We drove the Sky Drive which was incredible and for local restaurant and pub recommendations were super). The bar was a great asset to stay in for a night or for a night cap after being out. The bed was quite comfortable and the location was perfect. This location much exceeded all expectations and would love to stop here if we get the opportunity to travel Ireland again!
The double doors to the stairwell inside were difficult to get luggage in and out of when they weren't already propped open. It could help if it was easier to open them or if they were always propped open.

No lift and was on top floor. all good. just not clear in the listing. breakfast was good. Pete at the bar was a mensch and had a great chat late night.
i mean, a lift and air conditioning. lol. but nobody in Ireland has AC and there'a apparently only 1 hotel in Clifden with a a lift. so it is what it is. Maybe supply a fan in the rooms during summer months like most other hotels do. would've made sleeping a little more comfy.

I liked that the staff were so accommodating and central to the town. Beds were very comfortable and rooms also. I would like to specially mention that Patrick went above and beyond for us , he went to the effort to making sandwiches as we couldn’t get food anywhere since we arrived late with horses for the show week. He had a great personality and manner. Couldn’t ask for better.
I think maybe we might have just hit a bad day but breakfast wasn’t that great but it was sufficient enough. Or we’re just fussy eaters !

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the girl on breakfast each morning
The room insulation lets the hotel down greatly. I know it is an old hotel but the room next to us had their TV on untill 3am and we could hear it word for word. We then could their snores as if they were in the room with us. I loved the hotel but this would stop me staying again

This is a very comfortable hotel right in the centre a short walk to all the pub’s & restaurants. The superior double was a large comfortable room and nice and warm. It’s November. Parking was easy & staff very helpful. Although they don’t serve a hot breakfast, the buffet is excellent. It was also great value . Highly recommended. Would definitely use this property again.

Perfect location right in the heart of town with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Comfortable accommodations. Enjoyed relaxing in the lobby next to the fireplace. Impressed by the abundance of choices at breakfast.
We had a lot of heavy luggage and rooms on the second floor, the lack of a lift (elevator) was a disappointment.

Location excellent. Was lucky with car parking outside. Beds very comfortable.
Hot breakfast option would have been appreciated . Smelt musty in corridors but not in room which was lovely but thought some of bathroom fittings a bit dated and wash basin extremely slow to empty. Main light bulb in room was blinking.

Had a very restful sleep here, lovely and quiet, comfortable and loads of room. Breakfast a definite highlight very good spread with Barista coffee and wonderful staff 😀 Dinner at local Woodfield Hotel was delicious, several restaurants to choose from. Free, secure parking a plus and a great supermarket across the road. Lots to see here
Small complaint, there was no iron in the room.

Accessibility, the receptionist from Cleggan was very professional, helpful, humorous, welcoming & engaged with our needs. Night bar tender was extremely courteous & patient. Very pleased with everything. Even the teenagers in our party were impressed & that is a supreme achievement!
There weren't enough breakfast staff, one lady was under pressure & not as relaxed as we'd previously experienced.
