The space in our room was excellent and the comfort of the bed 🛏 was also excellent, 10 out of 10 comfort.. the bathroom was super clean and I had a lovely relaxing bath 🛀 even though it's small, it was still excellent with plenty of hot water and a lovely shower 🚿 to rinse off with.. very happy 😊 and definitely stay there again. 👍

The front doors 🚪🚪 to reception are really tatty (even from our last visit 5 months ago) and definitely need either a proper refurbishment job or replacement.. but they do open easily enough, which is important when you're going in and out with bags 🛍 and pillows under your arms...🙄 ...otherwise not a lot really...

Very convenient to break my north-south journey - straight in off the M74. Plenty of parking adjacent, but see my note about this. Very accessible rooms on one level, and clean, comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast was as good as you'd expect at a motorway services.

The hand-basin in the bathroom is the highest I've ever seen. At least three feet from ground to the rim. I'm 6ft. tall and I found it uncomfortably high. There's no convenient eatery nearby if you think you deserve better than Burger King and KFC. Plenty of parking, but you'll be charged £5 when you sign in if you booked through Booking.com, even though it says free wi-fi and parking on the website.

The experience itself was perfectly adequate, and the location is useful.

There was conflicting information about whether the parking was free or not. When I checked in I paid a small balance, and the lady confirmed my car's reg number, but this apparently was insufficient. After a day driving I failed to note a machine in reception where you are required to enter your car info; I thought I was covered, but subsequently got sent a penalty fine. It's sorted now after a phone call, but something for guests to be aware of and double check on arrival. Not really a complaint as I think it was a genuine misunderstanding on both sides, and the lady manning reception was otherwise very helpful.

Even though the room was recently refurbished and the bathroom was spotless, there was a smell coming from the plug holes in the shower/sink!!! When reported the maintenance crew were on hand to check and deal with the issue, however the next day the smell was still there but without any fuss and not to spoil our wedding day the staff changed the room for us and moved everything from the old room in to the new room for us without any delay or fuss …

It’s a great location being at a services, there’s plenty of places to eat and grab any bits you have forgotten. There’s a wonderful souvenir shop too. Staff all round the site are friendly. The Inn itself is pretty standard but they don’t pretend it’s not. Fresh towels were provided and a good selection of tea and coffee in the room.

The only downside is having to leave the property and walk to the services for breakfast. I wasn’t expecting that (I had never done a days inn before) but the breakfast itself was lovely.

We had a breakdown and the staff were so supportive and lovely. They took a lot of the difficulty out of a very stressful situation that would have left me and my daughter stranded 400 miles from home without any sleep.

The automated system initially marked us as no shows because we were not able to ge there until 4/5 am, even though it says 24 hour checkin.i had tried to call the number available for the site twice but it is just a mobile and no one has access to it. If it wasn't for the staff we would have been in a lot of trouble.

Really, really comfortable bed! The room and ensuite were very clean and tidy. Friendly member of staff at check in. Temperature in the room was just right, not too hot or cold. It is a handy location for people travelling between England and Scotland.

The signs on the way in are confusing making it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel, especially at night. The signs need to be clearer and better lit. The white lines on the roads around the hotel are so worn they are barely visible in places making it hard to see when to stop and who has right of way. The wifi is awful. I had work to do and couldn't get any of it done as I kept losing the connection and getting knocked off the wifi. Even checking messages on my phone was really slow.

Excellent hotel. Good value. Spotlessly clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Faultless.

The breakfast!! Awful!! The breakfast is provided via a voucher which is redeemed at the breakfast restaurant in the service station (100 yards away). The quality of food ingredients was one of the worst I have experienced at any diner. If I were to stay there again (no reason I would not as I really liked the hotel), I would purchase sandwiches and snacks from Waitrose in the service station.

Very warm welcome from receptionist who was also able to tell us what was available at the service area. Room was very comfortable and much better than Travel Lodges which we had been using previously. We'll look for Days Inns next time we travel.

Web site stated that hotel was om M74 Northbound so we had to 'phone to make sure we could access it from Southbound. Not really a problem but if web site merely stated Gretna Services we would have automatically assumed that it was available from either the South or the North

The location was perfect for our family travelling from Aberdeen Scotland to Alton towers England. It was 1/2 way between the two. We stopped on our journey way down and back up again. It was quiet and they were very accommodating getting more sheets for the pull out bed.

The breakfast vouchers didn’t include our children which was a bit odd so we had to buy them something at the shops in the service station.
