Breakfast was great. The homemade yoghurt was excellent as were the muesli and granola, plenty of fresh fruit and homemade muffins and bread, cheeses and cold cuts, Trish had decaf tea which was really good. She was an excellent host, lots of good suggestions and advice- we amended our day trips based on her advice and were glad we did.
1- There was no place to hang out in the room- no chair or couch, just the bed. 2- We didn’t realize how far out of Killarney it was. After looong days of driving I didn’t feel like more driving into town and back for anything. Not their fault, just be aware that it’s not a quick 5 minute jaunt into town.

This was a perfect place to stay for a couple nights while we were visiting the Kerry area. Patricia and Mike were very kind and friendly. Patricia provided us with plenty of suggestions and advice for both the local area and getting to our next place. The breakfast spread was excellent; much of it was homemade, and the conversation with our fellow visitors was very enjoyable. The area was quintessential Irish countryside; it was peaceful and quiet. Perhaps it's because we stayed busy while we were out, but we crashed every night and slept very well. We highly recommend the Luachra Lodge!
Nothing. Everything was great, and we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, bright house hosted by the welcoming couple of Patricia and Mike who made us feel at home from arrival. Situated 6km outside of Killarney, might look at first a little remote especially because of some narrow roads that reach it but the position in the countyside is fascinating and relaxing. The room was clean and nice, typical and comfortable at the same time. Breakfast is served in a bright and colourful dining room, with a view on a beautiful garden. We did not stay very long but we had time to entertain some good talks with Patricia about travels, the Irish language and nature. All things combined, such a great stay!
Breakfast was not the typical all-you-can-eat kind we are sometimes used to have in international hotels but the fine selection of uncommon foods (cheese, for instance) and homemade jams and chutneys made up for it. Not indicated only for those looking for a 3000 kcal intake to kick start a day, great for everybody else.

Patricia cooked an amazing dinner and breakfast had different delicious options. She is very welcoming and kind. The room was clean and spacious and the Lodge is beautiful
She has two small dogs that briefly run in between our legs during dinner and breakfast. Personally I'm not a huge fan of dogs and I believe guests should know in advance that dogs are present on the property (if it was written anywhere in the initial description of the lodge I missed it)

Refreshment facilities,in the room, would have been an added bonus "out of hours".

Patricia and Mike welcomed us in the warmest and kindest way. We had the best breakfast ever, with delicious bread and brownies cooked by Patricia, and a table arranged with the greatest care for every detail. A joy for eyes and mouth! The house is gorgeous; guests have their own room, but we could enjoy also the big kitchen for the meals and the beautiful garden. The silence is priceless.
Everything was super!

We were so happy with our stay! Patricia was such a gracious host! The house is lovely and the breakfast was homemade and delicious. My husband really wanted to stay in a "real B&B" in the country, except we didn't have a car. Patricia let us know it would be difficult to get back and forth to Killarney without a car, and we emailed back and forth before our arrival. She provided pick up and drop us for a nominal rate and at the time we requested. It was very helpful!! (Cab fare was about 40pounds.) We enjoyed having breakfast family style and meeting the other guests staying. (We could have also had breakfast at a different time if we wanted to dine by ourselves) Patricia knew the area as well as many areas of Ireland and was happy to provide info. We would definitely return!
We didn't have any complaints!

Beautiful house, very nice room. The hosts were lovely. Patricia is an undiscovered stand up comedy talent - we loved having breakfast at one big table along with Al the guests, laughing and sharing stories. A B&B in the original sense of meeting other travellers and enjoying the hospitality of a local couple. We would very much recommend!

Patricia's home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. We loved the peaceful country setting--it was just what we were looking for. Patricia provided a generous, delicious and nutritious breakfast each morning as well as witty banter and funny family stories. Our interactions with her and Mike each morning and evening were a highlight of our stay. They even helped introduce us to Gaelic football and hurling by getting us match information!
