The staff make The Bay Tree, each and every member go above and beyond what is necessary. All the ladies on reception were fantastic and so welcoming, the bar staff just fab and the staff in the restaurant were absolutely brilliant. Thank you VERY much to Alana & Dragos who went the extra mile, so appreciative.. The car park is so easy so you don’t have to worry about finding anywhere to park to have a wander in to Burford. The rooms felt lovely and clean. Location was good for visiting Jeremy’s pub! All in all a great stay, thank you!

We loved our room, which had a view looking out onto the gardens. The space was big enough for two to stay comfortably and the bathroom had great shower and bath, and nice soaps etc. The dinner was delicious, much better than I expected after reading reviews. The location is on a very pretty street, and has a shortcut to walk into town through an alleyway.

The english breakfast was a little underwhelming (dry bacon, cold toast, unseasoned tomatoes). This is more hotel than country B&B in that sense. The staff were lovely but it was often hard to find someone to help. The bar is not manned so you have to search the hotel first. Burford itself is busy and the pubs are not very cosy. I'd recommend exploring elsewhere for some peace.

The breakfasts were excellent. The Fruit and cereal offering is amongst the best that we have encountered anywhere in the world. The garden was an excellent space - very well cared for.

The selection of bread offerings at breakfast was OK, but could have been improved. The Croissants & other pastries were very good. A warning should be provided not to park under the tree next to the garages in the first car-park in order to avoid bird droppings on your vehicle. Almost unbelievably it required a good 15minutes work to make the car safely drivable & a trip to the car-wash.

The location was great, the room was a decent size with comfortable bed, the breakfast options were good and more than sufficient. The reception staff were very helpful with advice

Ths bathroom sink has separate taps for hot and cold. However, then the sink plug was but down it couldn't be lifted up... the hotel staff couldn't manage to either! So, washing hads, brushing teeth etc we needed to use the bath (slightly disappoining). On the 1st eveing in the hotel we ate in the bar. Whilst my meal was enjoyable, my wife's sticky toffee pudding was cold on the outside and inedible in the centre... whislest this was removed frm our bill it does not sound that the 'chef' know how to 'heat up; this dish correctly.

We were upgraded at no extra cost to a large room with views over the roof tops of Burford. The hotel has a boutique feel to it, very charming and cosy. There's a lovely little seated area to sit in with a real fire. Breakfast was very good with both continental and a fully cooked options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is found at the rear of the hotel, we had no trouble finding a place for our car. The location is perfect for central Burford.

Nothing to complain about. Maybe a warning that the passage leading to the carpark is very narrow so might be a problem for larger vehicles.

Charming historic building brought up to modern standards; nice and warm with that special ye old atmosphere. Moulton Brown batroom products a nice touch. Nice incuded breakfast. Staff were very helpful with the bags on our late arrival as the road outside was icy. We were given an uprated room so our old bones could avoid the steep stairs which was very generous.

Could not get TV to work and when we called admittedly around midnight nobody answered. At breakfast we were refused one extra croissant because it was 10 minutes after close of breakfast which seemed a bit mean for a four star hotel.

Rooms (upgraded to Sycamore) steep flights of stairs to accommodation, but not a problem for us and we was shown this before we accepted a free upgraded room (so many thanks BayTree), room was very spacious, bathroom too and all very clean.. careful if your tall and clumsy like me (beams low), located in Burnham and 200m from the high street with all shops (great butchers), food, staff could not fault would defo stay again 100% recommend

If I'm gonna be picky as all was soo great, I'm just not keen on Smoked Bacon with my breakfast

The breakfasts were great. There was plenty of choice and all laid out attractively

We were upgraded which was very nice and the room was eccelly. The only downside was that we had very steep stairs to climb but was worth it when we got to our amazing room

Superior garden rooms were like a little self contained suite. The entire collection of buildings obviously amazing. Meals pricey but when you sign into their wifi you must opt in to the 20% off any particular bill (for example dinner). Can only be used once and you might miss it in the speed of wanting to connect to their internet

I would say that the full English wasn’t the best I have had, but that would just be being picking. It was good but not great. Maybe because I don’t eat eggs (those looked amazing)

Quiet, olde world. Close to the HIGH STREET. Parking. Lovely fruit and cereal.

The breakfast staff need to have a better understanding of people's eating sequence. Generally, it's fruit juice and cereal first, so the tea/coffee should be offered after that, rather than immediately upon arrival then going cold on the table. This morning was even worse as we had just sat down to eat our cereal when we were asked for our breakfast choices, which then arrived 2 minutes later! There was a wedding here that day, so they obviously wanted to get the kitchen ready as soon as possible. Not impressed.
