Has been tastefully resorted and updated and is a little slice of luxury! The rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms are finished to a high standard and the common areas are beautifully finished with lots of lovely, nautical touches. Gin and tonic in the room on arrival was a lovely touch. We had to move rooms due to an incident out of the hotel’s control. The staff could not have dealt with this any better and moved us to a new room. Hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Fantastic location, and a true feeling of being on holidays in this hotel.

Lift was broken for the duration of our stay, we felt the hotel could have offered some compensation in lieu of this as we were on the 3rd floor. Parking is quite expensive considering we were already paying for the room. Disappointing to have to pay extra for a hot breakfast (we did not do this, but would have expected hot breakfast to be included in the price).

Clean and stylish

Shower room floor drain completely block so had to take drain tray out so I did not flood the bathroom. Staff in breakfast room could be more friendly, a greeting of good Morning we won’t be too long, rather than ignoring us as we waited.

Bed was very comfy and view was good. Loved the shower and bathroom. Our room was very clean and your housekeeping staff are a credit to your hotel. Loved the service we received ftom Callum and Shiv in the bar/restaurant. What a pair of enthusiastic and innovative young men! Great location easy to walk down into main town .

At breakfast we had to ask for items that should have been freely available i.e additional cutlery, butter, napkins. Juices and milk were warm as were other food items that should have been chilled i.e yoghurt, fruit salad. Meats, cheese and oats. Chairs in dining room conservatory area were very stained and were not a credit to a 4* establishment. Your restautant management is lettng the hotel down in our opinion.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the harbour and centre. The hotel has undergone an extensive renovation and was tastefully done. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Rooms are nice and comfortable, however the bathroom was nice although a little small. Continental breakfast was included and more than acceptable with plenty of variety. A cooked English breakfast was available if required.

Nothing really except the bar and lounge would be better with some nice comfortable furniture with took away from a nice smart bar area.

Great location, especially if you’re travelling by bus. The hotel was beautiful, loved the cool coastal decor. Comfy beds. The continental breakfast was exceptional. So much choice on offer and everything was delicious. Front of house staff were so lovely!!

I loved everything. The only thing that let it down slightly was the house keeping. The room Was immaculate on arrival. But the daily turn down service was a bit lacking. They didn’t give leave lol roll one of the mornings. Coffee wasn’t replenished. Some days you got biscuits, other days not. Dirty glasses were left. Wasn’t a big issue

The room was lovely. The hotel was clean and bright with really nice decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. 5 mins walk to the centre of Padstow. Wonderful views.

The breakfast was not good. We weren't expecting to pay another £20 per day if we'd wanted a poached egg! Jam was very poor. Food was totally exposed to numerous people helping themselves with no covering. One day there was no yoghurt or croissants. There could have been more choice. It would take very little effort to upgrade the whole experience. Because we'd booked through booking.com, we had to pay an extra £10 a night for parking for some reason. It was a struggle anyway with it being cramped and full most of the time.

The room was beautiful and comfortable - really well updated. We had everything we needed in there and lots of space for our toddler. The staff really looked after us, especially on leaving as we were ill and needed a hand with luggage and they gave us some water for the journey.

The extra charge for a hot breakfast came as a surprise and I was pretty disappointed to find this out. One of the reasons we booked the hotel over a self-catering property was to be fed a decent hot brekkie! It stings when the per night stay cost is much higher than an average hotel where you know you'll get that. My husband ordered one and was disappointed with it, so if you have to charge, give more warning at the point of booking and make it excellent!

The hotel was perfectly situated on the Padstow Harbour, minutes walk to all the shops, eateries, pubs, trails and midnight fireworks on NYE. The staff were excellent, the breakfast delicious and we really appreciated the complementary gin and tonic on arrival in our room and the gorgeous birthday chocolates left with a cute note. Also worth noting the water pressure and bathroom facilities were excellent and the quality of the bed (and therefore sleep) exceptional.

It was unfortunate that our bedroom faced the front of the hotel which was on a high position corner and the weather was very windy which made for lots of noise and banging- nothing the hotel can do about that, but we would perhaps request a harbour view in future. I did feel for the price the full English breakfast should have been included (not extra) but it wouldn’t stop us booking again.

Location was perfect. Lovely hotel including parking. Free bike hire (cycled part of the Camel trail). Staff were welcoming and friendly. Felt relaxed and accommodating. Can even borrow wellies if needed.

Breakfast did not start until 08:00 (Sunday).

The location was fantastic and it is worth paying more for a fabulous sea view. The gin in the room was a lovely touch, much appreciated. Bikes available and super friendly staff. Great to have continental breakfast included in the price with the option of paying extra for cooked. Excellent selection. We ate once in ‘the Jetty’ restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the food. Lunch good too especially sitting on the sun terrace admiring the view.

My only criticism is that the floor in the restaurant needs sweeping much more frequently and certainly every day before breakfast! A stray broad bean from our dinner was still there at breakfast next day along with other crumbs!
