The location of the lodging is great! Just about a block from the Sintra train station and close to both the new city (with a big grocery store) and the old city with all the magic. Check-in was easy, and they held my bags for me until the room was fully cleaned. The kitchen was well stocked and kept clean; the provided reakfast was basic but good. The shared bathrooms were clean.

The room got a bit cold at night, but a heater was provided in the room which helped immensely. The shared bathrooms were also cold and there was only 1 on the upper floor so I often had to walk downstairs to one of the other bathrooms.

The location of the accommodation was perfect, only a few minutes from the train station and only 10 minutes to Sintra historic centre. Everything was walkable distance which was perfect for us, and a lovely view of the moorish castle. The room itself was great, and we didn’t have any issues having to wait around to use the shared bathroom. Everything was exactly as described and I would 100% stay here again if I came back to Sintra.

The only issue we found was that it got quite hot in our room (in March) and we had to leave the window open all night.

The guest house was in a great location, just minutes from the train station. It was the n the perfect location where we could access the village and the center of town. The staff are really kind and helpful. Was great to have access to a kitchen and lots of places to sit throughout the house and outside.

The bed was a little hard for our liking. They tell you that quiet hours are after 10pm but not everyone adheres to that rule and you can hear people talking loud and clear, unfortunately.

Barbara was very friendly, and she helped us by keeping our luggage until check-in time. She also showed us around. Complimentary tea and very good wifi. The property was very clean. Breakfast was nice. It's in a good location. 20min walk to city center. Less than 10 min walk to train station. There are restaurants and bakeries in walking distance. G Room had good natural sunlight. My daughter absolutely loved it here.

Our room door was a little hard to open and close. Since the train station is nearby I was woken up by the noise of the train several times during my sleep. Even though there are 2 bathrooms. In the morning, when guests are getting ready, it might be hard to find an available bathroom.

My room had a direct view of the castel and a huge bed! Its a very short walk from the train station and far from the big tourist crowd since its not directly in the historical center. It has a functionning kitchen and the common rooms were clean and spacious. I had a lovely stay and I highly recommend!

There was no staff from 3pm to 8:30 the next day. I was lucky I had the owner’s whatsapp but otherwise it might be hard to get immediate service.

Location from train station & local buses for sightseeing palaces is perfect! House & gardens gave character & charm. You have facilities to prepare & refrigerate packed lunch for sightseeing (shop Minipreço 10mins walk). Barbara was a great host & suggested local bus 1253 to visit Boca de Roca as I was staying 2nights & had time to visit coastal spot for couple of hours. Thank you! A++

Was advance aware of sharing bathroom, not a problem but be aware could be upto x10 of you using one upstairs bathroom & waiting for shower/toilet whilst having arranged breakfast slot & Pena palace timed entry schedule. Would suggest using downstairs bathroom that doesn't get as much use.

We love this house-coziness, interior, beautiful garden. Room was cozy. Location is very near to the center. Seeing castle from our room was making romantic atmosphere and it felt magical.

Bathrooms could be renovated. I’m talking especially about shower, it’s very old and rusty. I personally love the vibe and style that they are trying to keep but it’s time to renovate some shower parts. As well one side of the garden were full of chairs which is not making some nice view, instead it could be some more flowers 🙏

Perfect location. Lovely staff. A lovely place with a vintage touch which is what I really love about it. It has a beautiful view and a beautiful garden. Breakfast was simple but I had everything I wanted to eat so it was satisfying. I had a double room and it was pretty in a vintage way.

My only disappointment is the shower. I love vintage and re-using old things but it doesn’t have to go too far as not repairing or maintaining them — the shower arms were all broken making it really difficult to shower properly.

We loved the location of this property. We were able to get to and from from the town centre and train station easily. Barbara, the hostess, was very accommodating to us. She let us check in early and she prepared an excellent early morning breakfast for us on the day we left. Although the room was small, it was comfortable, and having our own bathroom was nice. We would recommend Lanui guesthouse when staying in Sintra.

Great location. Enjoyed restaurants in the vicinity (out of the tourist area) a lot but inn located within easy walking distance to old city center and train station —-Nextdoor to biblioteca (library) for easy location on map.

Although the inn makes strong suggestions for guest quiet time it was not honored either night by other guests. Second night I had to get up and ask for silenco.
