Breakfast was delicious and great variety ( Asian, European, North American with Caribbean touch/taste , staff was AMAZING. 10/10 points. You feel like you are being treated as a royal member. With a smile, courtesy, and very professionally manner. Close to all amenities including the Ayala Mall, Robinson Mall, McDonald, Jolly Bee and other restaurants and convenient stores such as 7-Eleven. Close to the main road Minutes away from the airport

Moldy smell in the little fridge area Bed quality could be improved ( instead of using wobbly extra pad). More variety for supper/Dinner and lunch would be useful Outdated rooms with no USB chargers/ports ( in 21st century) in the room The corridors are extremely hot ( no air-conditioning system in the hallways ( Corridor) Roof top restaurant area could be managed better The swimming pool is a bit small and often overcrowded with kids messing around with splashing waters etc...

Top 5 reasons Family of 3 ( Husband, almost 2 year old toddler, and me) 1. Customer Service - you will get a 5 star like customer service. Every time we see a staff, they will make sure to great us with a smile. A staff notice I was having a hard time getting my key card from my purse and they assisted me and opened the door. I asked for an early check in because we arrived in Cebu at 6am and I have a toddler who I cannot imagine dragging somewhere in the humid weather, with a fee ( i am so happy to pay) and based on availability- they accommodated us. Every time we need a ride or see us in the lobby - they took good care of us. And this is the best part, when we checked out, i forgot the food I left in the fridge ( i want to bring it) and ask if I wanted it - they hurriedly gave it to us. 2. Breakfast Buffet - i initially heard that it is good and so worth it - actually cheaper than I expected to pay for. I know a person who stayed in a different hotel ( with breakfast buffet included ) but would go to Lex to pay and eat their breakfast. It did not disappoint, the place was also clean, the food was beautifully displayed, the food selection was great. I love the puto and Tsikwate ( Filipino hot chocolate). My husband who is not Filipino and had been dying to eat a Not Filipino breakfast was happy on the selection. 3. Rooms and cleanliness - i love the king size bed, the practical design, the clock bluetooth speaker and wireless charger combined, and the hotel sleepers are surprisingly durable. It was very clean even the hall way and common areas. 4. Great Location - in the heart of Cebu, walking distance to great restaurants, banks, laundry, etc! 5. infinity Pool - it was a nice touch. We were there in the morning and it was very peaceful and the toddler loved it.

These were not a deal breaker for me 1. Traffic - since it is in the heart of the city, expect that this area is on heavy traffic especially during rush hour. 2. Small size hotel robes - i am sure if we requested for a bigger size, they will replace it but we did not bother.

Staying at the Lex was a surprisingly pleasant experience with nothing to complain about. Room was very nice and very accommodating. Although a microwave would be nice to be able to heat up food. Comfy bed and very good size bathroom area. Food (free breakfast) was impressive and always very nice. The top floor (pool area) was beautiful and vey much appreciated to facilitate a small smoking area. Plenty of shops near by and very quick/easy to get transport out the front. I enjoyed bringing my smoke and coffee outside having interesting and pleasant conversation with the guards! Deskman (Pierce) all the staff and Guards(Ray, Ramil, Roy etc) were very communicative friendly nd helpful (A+) No doubt this (the Lex) will be my first choice upon returning to the Philippines. Bot much else to say..... Highly Recommended!!

Simply add a room microwave and maybe a bit more Beef (if possible) to the breakfast options and everything would be even more perfect!!

The room, the staff were mostly courteous and helpful.

The breakfast options were not replenished so that if you came at 9am the majority of items were empty, I had a visitor who came to chat with my partner after 10pm but was charged 1.5k pesos before she was allowed to visit and she left after approximately 30 minutes and so was not going to stay or have breakfast however when we contacted reception to try to get some kind of refund we were just told that it's the hotels policy and hard luck, I found this attitude quite rude and unfortunately slightly spoiled my experience at the hotel.

Staff were outstanding, in particular the reception and the breakfast staff. Doorman and security were also a credit and did an outstanding job.

The advertised wellness centre does not exist. Gym is barely functional and bot maintained. Roof tip pool area mosquito infested with tiny pool. Pollution in area is horrendous.

We stay at the Lex Hotel every time we fly in or out of Cebu. It is by far and away the best place we have found in Cebu. They have remodeled the dining room for a bigger and better equipped kitchen and dining experience. The breakfast is the best with everything from local dishes to omelets and waffles. The desert bar was better than the time last year when we were there. Also last year it was great. Now let me say something about the staff. I was so impressed that after breakfast, I gave each employee a 100 peso note and there were many employees. These kids work hard and have been well trained for their jobs. Knowing the Philippines and traveling there for the past 12 years I've learned that anything I can give them helps support their families. You will not have to open the front door because they have a doorman on site. When we arrived our cab dropped us off at the side entrance where they have a ramp to get to the main entrance. Two of the staff ran to me and took our two suitcases up the ramp. If you stay there more than once, they will remember you and we received a welcome back from the front desk staff. We would also like to thank Juana, our breakfast host for a wonderful dining experience. Her service was exceptional and the Hotel is lucky to have employees like her. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable.

My TV remote didn't work? They sent someone up and fixed it in minutes. So I don't have anything we didn't like.

The pool on the roof top had a great view of the city. The breakfast had a great selection of different food options. Food tasted great. If you left breakfast hungry then you just do not like food. The staff was excellent.

The only thing I was disappointed with was that the hand shower did not work; however, the rainfall shower head was great.

The staff was wonderful, hotel was in a nice location. There are alot of options in the immediate area for dining and entertainment. Room was clean roomy and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, rooftop bar and pool were a nice addition to our trip.

It's a very convenient location, just a few minutes walk from the city center and Fuente Osmena Circle, so close to the big Christmas tree 🎄 and all othe Xmas celebrations who will take place around the center/Osmena Circle. Very polite, helpful and friendly staff.

All the furniture in the room is very old and outdated. The room has the look and the feeling of a mid-range hotel from the 80's or this feeling we all used to have when visiting our grandparents in the country, but definitely not a proper furniture for a 4 star hotel in the 21st century! Everything needs to be refreshed, repainted and put in new furniture and an entirely new bathroom or lower your prices significantly because at the moment it is not a good value for the money, no matter the central location, infinity pool and friendly staff!!!!

I loved everything about this hotel. It did not disappoint. They catered to my every whim, especially my request that my childrens' room be adjacent with ours, was definitely a ++++ points for me.From the staff, to the rooms and definitely the food. Compliments to the Chef. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Definitely on my top 3 list of the best hotels I have ever been to. They made our vacation in Cebu definitely one we won't forget.
