Breakfast was excellent, the staff were all very helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The location in the center of Surabaya was extremely convenient. The pool was a lovely place to relax and the gym was good for a casual workout.

The rooftop bar!! My partner and I thought it would be lovely to sit up there and have a nice quiet drink and something to eat. We had planned to go there often however due to the smoke in the room it was almost impossible to breath. I understand that in Indonesia smoking is still allowed indoors, however, if you allow smoking, you must ensure adequate ventilation. After only 15 minutes, my eyes were watering and my throat was sore from the smoke. We actually didn't even finish our food. It should have been a lovely place to sit and enjoy but instead it was terrible due to the smoke. I also think that there should be no smoking in the breakfast area either. I know the smokers were in a separate room, but the smell of smoke was still quite noticeable throughout the restaurant.

Double Tree by Hilton is a brand name. people stay there for their value and status. we stayed there in a total of 4 segments. this was our first segment and 2nd time stay in total. we got an upgrade to a corner room which was more spacious than others, however it came with a twist. read "What didnt you like" for details.

our air con was faulty. Technician came and told us the compressor, or some part is faulty. soon after the air con duct started leaking badly. upon prompting, the duty manager offered same category room, even though it should be an upgrade. after few iterations, we were given executive room.

Everything was great. Location. Cleanliness. Service. Food. Welcome drink was a 100.

The swimming pool The pillows The TV Channel The housekeeper The front desk service The security guard service play important roles at Double Tree by Hilton, they did a great job, without fail to check every vehicles, be it clear weather or raining weather, and the security guard service also did a great job by directing traffic during Navy day events from Midnight to 2200hrs. Location and staff! they're never without a smile, and many of the surabayans i met are all so polite and gentle. we got a high floor no smoking, with a lovely view of the mountain & TP mall. i would stay again next time i visit surabaya. it's right in city centre yet quiet, although we do hear some neighbouring chants/prayers (?) in the day. hotel well kept, and lovely. loads of convenience stores, eateries on the same street, feel safe and clean. it's car free day on sunday mornings! they do aerobics on the street. toiletries were all labelled crabtree & evelyn. free shuttle to and fro TP mall

for such a lovely hotel, i don't understand why they don't change all their towels, especially bath towels to new ones. they look grubby, sometimes with a smell, and off white (like dirty brownish). pls change them all!!

I enjoyed the room environment and appreciated the courteous staff and their attentive care through WhatsApp. I also liked the use of environmentally friendly glass bottles. The location is nice and convenient for traveling around the city.

However, the breakfast was disappointing, especially due to the lack of variety for vegetarians. Additionally, I was frustrated at checkout when I wanted to pay with Indonesian Rupiah, but the hotel reception said I couldn't choose this option due to the previous credit card selection and couldn't void it. This was very frustrating.

1. The professionalism of the staff from the security, front desk, house keeping, The Koffee and those who managed the shuttle service to Tunjungan Plaza. 2. Location, in the heart of the lively of Tunjungan Street (perfect for Saturday night), an experience to try! Easy walk to TP (though shuttle is available). Grab, Taxi are also easily available. 3. The whatsapp communication with the hotel for anything! 4. the shuttle service to Tunjungan Plaza from the hotel 5. gotta love the cookies! 6. The TV channels, good iron and board, wifi 7. Spacious comfortable room!

1. Nothing to fault really, but to be picky, you can hear noises of children screaming from the other room. But no biggie.

DoubleTree by Hilton is located quite within the attractions that we wanted to cover; even if the location is not walkable it is accessible by Gojek under half an hour. The hotel room is big and really comfortable, and the staff were really hospitable and checked in regularly during the course of our stay (we also got a free cookie upon check in)! The gym looked pretty cool and well stocked with nice equipment, though it's a pity I did not have the time to squeeze a workout session in.

Amazing property and great F&B selection as well. The staff came up with a birthday surprise for my daughter and it made the experience all the more amazing. The breakfast at Makan Kitchen covers almost every palate and it was so delicious that we had to get our dinner there as well on one of our nights. Truly an amazing experience. The only sore point was traffic was pretty bad but everything else was nearby thus walking is a great option.

The traffic was pretty bad outside the hotel especially during peak hours but isn't that an issue everywhere else in Indonesia :). Other than this, nothing truly could spoil the amazing experience.

The Hotel is really nice and clean, There is like security check upon entrance so you know it is safe. Check in was fast. I was a little under the weather when I reached the Hotel and did request for like plain porridge which I think they don't usually serve. Staff still managed to cater to my request which I really do appreciate. Room was huge, and all their facilities is really clean. There is actually many attractions and eatery near by the hotel, like walking distance. Overall a really nice hotel at a very affordable rate.
