Very nice place, close to the beach. Friendly staff, and I really enjoyed talking to the other guests at the time I stayed there. It felt like a cozy home, and was very clean. You can rent bicycles there for pretty cheap (600 yen a day), albeit they are a little rusty, but it's nice to cycle along the beach. They had a nice selection of tea and coffee that you can freely use. If I visit Kamakura again, I would stay there again!
Only 1 shower, so it was often that you'd be waiting to use it. But even though everyone used it, it was rather clean.

Very lovely guesthouse! We really enjoyed our stay here. We love the Japanese room. (The futons were very comfortable.) The shared dining / living room was also very charming with old Japanese house feel. The shared bathroom and toilets were also very clean. The staffs were very friendly. We love all the little turtle decorations and also the selection of complimentary teas available.
The guesthouse is a bit further away from the train station, but the walk through the neighborhood to the station was very nice especially during spring.

The location was off the beaten tourist track near the ocean, easy bus ride.A few restaurants a short walk are available. The building is historic with much character ,the decor is unique and creative . We had a traditional room with the garden view which was lovely especially as there was a heavy rain and we felt so cozy inside. The futon ,linens and pillow were comfortable. A community area with access to hot water for tea /coffee and a fridge to use.
Only one shower ,it was not an issue as everyone was efficient and quick. No line .

Wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff. Staying in the dorm is great value for money, beds are comfortable and I didn't have any issue sharing a room this time Breakfast is delicious and such a breath of fresh air if you have been travelling for a while, it is all so fresh and tasty Was given recommendations for food which ended up being very good Very chill but comfortable vibe in the common area, was able to chat and play card games with other travellers

The most kind and helpful host, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, and a perfect location! Kamejikan is a really wonderful guesthouse, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and relaxed place to stay in Kamakura ☺️ Also, it's only five minutes away from the beach, and there is a bus stop basically right in front of the guesthouse! I can't wait to visit again in the future 🏖

The private double Japanese style room was comfortable, quiet and had a nice garden view. The shared shower and toilet were clean and nicely laid out. The hangout space was spacious with lots of comfortable chairs and tables to sit at to chat or do our own things, with free coffee/tea. Also the hosts were very helpful with recommendations and spoke good English.
Slightly more expensive than other similar places on our trip

Everything was wonderful. I loved everything about this guest house. I was very nervous to be staying in this style of accommodation for the first time as a solo female traveller but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The staff member who made my breakfast even sat with me to chat and recommend things in the area. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious at a very good price. The front desk staff even gave me a map of the area with key sightseeing spots! Other guests were all respectful and never made noise in the bedroom areas and friendly if there was an opportunity to talk. The interior design is charming and homely. Everything was very clean and accessible. There was ever chilled water and tea available in the fridge for free. The local bus stopped literally right outside the hotel so you could travel to the main train station easily. I only stayed one night for this trip but I could have happily stayed many more!
Towels have to be rented but I understand this is probably necessary for the style of the property - it was still very cheap and easy to do this.

Lovely staff, quiet and friendly atmosphere, beautiful house.
A bit far from the center but you can walk a good 15 min and be there. Good to stay fit but difficult when heavy rain is included (happened to me). But, there is a bus stop right next to the house so it's actually not a big deal. Arigatou gozaimashita ! Mata ne!

Very nice and comfortable. The staff is beyond nice and polite. The location is absolutely great, and they have cycles you can rent to go everywhere in town
The walls are literally paper as it is a classical japanese house, so hear everything at night when. People are hanging out, but hey, you only live once, so that's ok

Calm small haven away from the business of the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good access to beach, convenience stores and eating places. Also able to hire wet suits and body boards.
Can be a bit noisy at night from other guests but we were aware of this risk prior to booking.
