Very disappointing that the Pool wasn't clearly advertised as 16+ without going into additional info, that can't take away from the hotel as it was fantastic

Views, comfort and staff. I left my fire stick in the tv and it was found and kept safely and returned to me when I drove back on the same day I checked out. Calming weekend, very relaxed. Will be returning hopefully for Christmas

On the Sunday it was around 6pm and my bedding still hadn’t been change but when they realised they done it literally within 10 minutes. I don’t want this review to be looked at negatively either as I am aware there’s different staff at different times. I had something over the door that didn’t say “don’t clean”. But it could have meant other… But the man who came and cleaned it left it extremely clean and I had the best sleep the two nights I stayed

Quiet setting off the road. Good room with a decent bathroom and bed. Enough room for bags. Fridge was handy for keeping some cold drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful the dining area was spacious and comfortable. Food was of a good quality and value for money. The cocktails on offer were tasty and nicely presented

The towels we used and kept neat still got replaced by housekeeping, which was a shame as we intended to reduce the washing for sustainability. Unusual lighting system so that one of the bedside lights switches controlled the overall power, not a switch near the door or hall which was confusing but manageable.

We booked a King double room and this was lovely, big bathroom (bath with shower) and usual hotel coffee tea which was basically what you expect. The bed was very comfy. Restaurant down stairs and far was fantastic, great service and food was very good. We had fabulous weather when we stayed and with our friends who also stayed in another room, we sat out on the terrace/garden. We will stay again. It is 2km out of Chester but that was not a problem as we had a taxi.

We were a little surprised that resident guests could not use the pool in side as part of the booking of the stay. You have to pay £20 extra per person. So we were a little disappointed we had to pay more when the place was not a cheap hotel. Booking a slot to swim understand why this is essential.

The room was up to the usual standard for DoubleTree by Hilton - very comfortable. There is plenty of space in their large open-air carpark, with a short, level run to reception. The hotel only has floors, so access and movement about the hotel is very quick and easy. Everything about the room was excellent, with one small exception (see below). The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant excellent - delicious dinner and a great range of breakfast items. This was a one-night stopover for us on the way south to London, and the hotel is very conveniently located for M56 and M6 travellers.

Unfortunately we had noisy people across the hall, with lots of loud shouting and door banging - the soundproofing is not great but fortunately they finally settled down around midnight.

My friend and I stay here every 12 months for a girlie weekend. We have always enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is good and not over priced.

We stayed two nights. Unfortunately, the second day, housekeeping did not come into our room to replenish the refreshments. We were happy to make the beds, but it would have been nice to have a couple of the towels replaced along with the refreshments. One point regarding the restaurant is that the wine is extremely expensive if you only want one or two glasses. This didn't spoil our stay, but maybe it's something that could be reviewed.

It’s beautiful, the rooms were so comfortable and tidy. The ladies at the front desk went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as we’d had a big lunch before check in, so we ordered Deliveroo and ate in our room and the lovely ladies at the front desk helped us get some cutlery and plates for that too. We also didn’t use the spa unfortunately as we were too tired. We had some gorgeous cocktails though at the bar the strawberry mojito was incredible 😍

The quaint and slightly bizarre accounting practice of apportioning a credit limit to the room, so I had to pay by credit card for one dinner instead of charging it to my room (which is my company's preferred action), as I'd 'run out of credit for charging to the room'. Never ever experienced that before, in all the Doubletree hotels I stayed at in the US. Also, extending my stay by booking at reception - no breakfast included (as in the Booking.com reservation) without asking and without explanation. Caused minor embarrassment at the restaurant, with a further difficult scene involving the assistant Manager, who then saw the light and gave me complimentary breakfast for the remainder of my stay, which was very good of him.

in arriving we checked in with ease and we were given a glass of prosecco which was a really nice touch. the room.we stayed in 188 was fantastic all are needs were catered for and really clean the staff were excellent very pleasant and helpful the food and drink was fantastic we couldn't fault .

now please don't this the wrong way as we loved the place and i am certainly not a complaner as some things carnt be helped but the only thing was a load humming sound in are room from something like air con machine or some kind of extractor fan but it was on throughout our stay and kept us awake all night and that was the only down side and I understand we could of said something but we're not complaners we just get on with things all in all it was a nice place to stay.

Really lovely hotel, very relaxing atmosphere. Everything is fresh and new and the beds are really comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

While the Spa was enjoyable I would have liked to be able to book a time in advance. As you are only able to book on the morning of using the Spa you can't plan your day until you know for sure if you are going to get a free slot and at what time of the day you can get booked for.
