Very disappointing that the Pool wasn't clearly advertised as 16+ without going into additional info, that can't take away from the hotel as it was fantastic

Great location to the city centre. Hotel has excellent parking facilities. King sized room very comfortable and spacious. The hotel very clean and tidy. We stayed B&B didn't have an evening meal. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Always plenty of staff on duty. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choices. The staff are very professional and helpful.

My only constructive criticism would be to draw attention to the inconsistency of having warm plates at breakfast. We stayed 4 days and the plate warmer was only on for one of those days. Hence, hot food cools down very quickly. That said, the quality of the breakfasts was excellent.

The Hotel was in a good location for our visit to Chester zoo. It had a good size room looking out on a lawn. The shower over bath was good and the room was clean. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were provided. Still, sparkling water, coffee and tea were complimentary. We dined in the bar area and the food was good and hot. The staff were pleasant. Breakfast on both mornings was very good. Great variety and hot.

We were disappointed that there was a 20 pound per person fee to use the spa area including the pool even if you booked a spa treatment. I thought this was too much considering the price of the booking per night and breakfast cost extra. So we didn't go for a swim which was part of the reason for booking this hotel. I found that the hotel website wasn't very user friendly. Tissues are not provided in the room or bathroom which I found unusual.

Location, quiet, good standard of accommodation

The clearing up process at breakfast could do with refining. I travel alone and when I finish eating at the table and go back to the buffet for something else, the staff are clearing away my juice, my half drunk cup of coffee, etc. so when I return I have to refill again. I'm only gone 2 mins as well. It would be helpful for staff to wait 10 mins before cleaning up or have a sign on the table that says it's still in use so staff know not to tidy up. Just a small bug bear of mine and it's happened on previous occasions when I've travelled alone there.

Beautiful property within large grounds. The rooms were large with plenty of facilities, spotlessly clean with all the regular amenities (iron and ironing board, hairdryer, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary still and sparkling water). Comfortable bed and great food in the on site restaurant. Plus- I always enjoy the free warm cookie on arrival.

It’s only main downside is being on one side of a dual carriageway which can make access a bit more inconvenient, and being outside the main city means it’s a taxi or car journey to any other restaurants or attractions.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Very friendly greeting on checking in , bonus was the lovely warm cookie given. Fair sized room, huge extremely comfortable bed with lovely bed linen. Fridge, iron & ironing board in room. Good powerful shower and great lighting in the bathroom. Had an issue with no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom , reported in the morning at reception to Frank who very kindly offered free breakfast to compensate.

No shampoo or shower gel in containers in bathroom, no non slip mat for the shower which was quite slippery. Shower gel & shampoo were replenished next day but just left on side of sink ! And no non slip bath mat as requested !

Views, comfort and staff. I left my fire stick in the tv and it was found and kept safely and returned to me when I drove back on the same day I checked out. Calming weekend, very relaxed. Will be returning hopefully for Christmas

On the Sunday it was around 6pm and my bedding still hadn’t been change but when they realised they done it literally within 10 minutes. I don’t want this review to be looked at negatively either as I am aware there’s different staff at different times. I had something over the door that didn’t say “don’t clean”. But it could have meant other… But the man who came and cleaned it left it extremely clean and I had the best sleep the two nights I stayed

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were amazing – warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. We were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the occasion even more memorable. The room itself was brilliant – spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding; the food was truly to die for. Thank you to all the team for making this celebration so perfect. We can’t wait to return!

there were a couple of disappointments. The bathroom was not cleaned to the standard I would expect, with hairs and stains left on the bath, toilet, and sink. We also booked the spa experience for £90, which was sold as a “thermal journey,” but in reality it was just a pool with saunas, and unfortunately the hot tub was out of use. It didn’t feel worth the price.

Quiet setting off the road. Good room with a decent bathroom and bed. Enough room for bags. Fridge was handy for keeping some cold drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful the dining area was spacious and comfortable. Food was of a good quality and value for money. The cocktails on offer were tasty and nicely presented

The towels we used and kept neat still got replaced by housekeeping, which was a shame as we intended to reduce the washing for sustainability. Unusual lighting system so that one of the bedside lights switches controlled the overall power, not a switch near the door or hall which was confusing but manageable.

We booked a King double room and this was lovely, big bathroom (bath with shower) and usual hotel coffee tea which was basically what you expect. The bed was very comfy. Restaurant down stairs and far was fantastic, great service and food was very good. We had fabulous weather when we stayed and with our friends who also stayed in another room, we sat out on the terrace/garden. We will stay again. It is 2km out of Chester but that was not a problem as we had a taxi.

We were a little surprised that resident guests could not use the pool in side as part of the booking of the stay. You have to pay £20 extra per person. So we were a little disappointed we had to pay more when the place was not a cheap hotel. Booking a slot to swim understand why this is essential.
