During my extended stay in Venice, I needed an affordable option and stumbled upon Locanda Antico Fiore. Comparing it to my previous three-night stay at Hotel Rialto, which was three times more expensive, I was pleasantly surprised. Locanda Antico Fiore offered a much quieter and warmer atmosphere, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Its location was convenient, and the TV was noticeably larger. What truly stood out was the thoughtful addition of a kettle, allowing me to make tea and coffee, a convenience I lacked at Hotel Rialto. The value for money at Locanda Antico Fiore, especially considering the pricey Venetian setting, was impressive.

One quirky detail was the presence of two showers—one in the bathroom and another in the room. Despite this, my overall experience was delightful. Locanda Antico Fiore provided a comfortable and cost-effective stay, making it a noteworthy choice in Venice.

Very good location, the details to reach this hotel was straight forward, the direction given in the email from hotel staff was really good. With lots of luggage, we were able to reach the hotel in 3-5 mins by walk. We didn't ask anyone. On the last day we were supposed to check out very early morning as we had train. So when we requested the hotel staff if they can provide us the breakfast early, they ensured that packed breakfast is in our room on previous day night. This was very helpful

We reached around 1:00 PM. We waited for for more than 1 hr to check-in as no one was available. If one of the staff was present, at least we would have kept the luggage and would have gone for walking. This was one I didn't like, otherwise everything was good.

Location was great - close to all the things we wanted to see/visit, had a vaporetto stop nearby and a cute square with several cafes, bacaro, and restaurants. Our room had a window looking out over one of the small canals which was pleasant. It was also a good size, and spotlessly clean. Air con worked perfectly, which was very welcomed in the humid 34C August heat! There was also an in-room tea and coffee setup, which always pleases an English traveller :D

The shower cubicle in our room was very small. I am only a petite woman and had to be careful not to bang my elbows against the walls/glass.

We had a great stay at Locanda Antico Fiore. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and all you need to start your day. The rooms whilst a little basic due to the age of the building are very clean and comfortable. It is in a great location for your transfers to and from the airport being a short walk to the S Angelo canal stop. Whilst being a little removed from the main areas of Venice this is a bonus as it’s really quiet but still within a very pretty short walk of everywhere.

The property doesn’t have a lift and the stairs are quite steep which makes carrying luggage a little difficult. In saying that the staff were very eager to help.

Location: The hotel is in a nice and quiet part of Venice, which was important to us because of the large number of people that are on the streets during the busy seasons cause a lot of noise day and night. While the location was nice and quiet, it is also very central, and one can reach anywhere on foot. Additionally, the property is very close to the Sant Angelo vaporetto stop and from the airport you can reach the hotel very easily (just a 2-minute walk). Also this stop is convenient for the return ride to the airport, as the vessel is not full yet and you can board easily (for example, the vaporetto was full after the Rialto stop and the people on the later stops had to wait for the next one 30 minutes later). Room: The room is very spacious and the decoration is also nice and in touch with the city and building. The bathroom was also spacious, the bidet is a good addition. The shower could be a bit larger though. The cleanliness of the room was good, we did not have any issues. The complimentary prosecco was a nice touch. Breakfast: The breakfast was very good, and had all the necessary things that constitute a good breakfast. We were very satisfied with it. The staff were also very helpful and polite.

I booked this room last minute as I had to leave a hotel room I'd booked as it was disgusting & uninhabitable. I didn't know what to expect from this room& was just hoping it was better than my 2 previous experiences in Venice. I couldn't have been more satisfied with what I found. I literally turned up, was let in and told my room number& picked up key. My attic room was so comfortable, clean, quiet& safe. It was a little oasis after a sleepless night in a previous hotel. The bed was exceptional quality, better than most hotels& the tea& coffee was a much appreciated addition that I've rarely seen outside of Ireland & UK. If I ever return to Venice I will certainly be staying here. Exceptional

The location is absolutely perfect! The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The place is charming, close to the boat transfer to the airport and the main line of the vaporetto. Also close to St Marks Square, Accademia and Rialto. You can easily walk everywhere. There's also a water fountain nearby meaning I hardly had to buy any water.

Going up and down the narrow stairs, but this is unavoidable in Venice. It's a historical city, so the places don't have state of the art amenities unless you go to the super upscale 5 star hotels but then you will also pay for it.

Excellent location - really easy to get to the hotel from the Vaporetto stop - 2 minutes walk. The communication from the hotel was excellent giving great instructions on getting to the hotel. Perfect location for walking round the canals & calles. Charming characterful room right on the waterside - not huge but big enough, and nice to get tea & coffee making facilities.

Reception area was small so breakfast was served to you - by a very friendly lady - but they obviously struggle for space. I do not think the reception is manned 24/7 so I am not sure how you would access the hotel if you lost your key (luckily we didn't!)

Location was within a short walk of the S Angelo volleto, ferry. Any time we got lost, we could get on the volletto and we could reorient and find our way home. This hotel was more of a bed and breakfast type. We sat down at our table, visited with the other residents and our host made our breakfast. Very spacious room, with a queen and a single bed. bathroom as well.

I liked the location, room and the breakfast. The breakfast was 11 euro each morning. It consisted of bread, croissants, a yoghurt, juice, coffee, fruit, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, marmalade, nutella and honey! Great value for money. The lady that served me and my friend was very nice. Our beds were made each day when we returned back from site seeing. Room is clean with modern bathroom. I would recommend staying here to a friend. Only about 10 mins walking to the main square.
