We had a wonderful stay at Locanda Antica in Venice, and a big part of that was thanks to the receptionist Julia. She was incredibly kind and helpful, taking the time to guide us through every detail—where to go in Venice, what to eat, and how to truly enjoy the city like a local. One detail that truly touched us was the artistic ladybird design on the envelopes she gave us. It added such a warm, personal touch and brought a big smile to both my face and my son's. It’s the little things like this that make a stay unforgettable. Thank you for making our trip so special!

The only downside—something we were aware of before booking—was the external bathroom. While it wasn’t ideal, we had no other option at the time, and everything else about our stay more than made up for it.

I loved the theme and decor of our room, Tiepolo. The room was the perfect size. If I wanted to hear what's going on outside, people walking and talking ( which I love about Venice) I just open the windows. If I keep them closed, the room is perfectly quiet. Great drapes /curtains for black out, incase you want to sleep in. Loved the large velvet couch, that was a necessity for me. So was the desk with large mirror. The bathroom was a decent size, we had a shower, however the shower is very narrow and tight if you are a tall or larger person. My son is 6'3, so it was too small for him. The room and bathroom were very clean each day, and I love that are beds were made. Some hotels or apartments don't do that anymore. There is no elevator and the rooms are on the third floor. It is an easy marble staircase that is not steep. Going up the stair case at night from the first floor to the second, there was no lighting, which was pretty scary. The shining star was the hotels receptionist when you check in. She's been there for years, so informative, helpful and happy. She is such a wonderful addition to this property. I would definitely book there again. I've been to Venice over fifteen or so times she stayed many places.

We had a wonderful stay in Venice. The room was clean and cozy with good soundproofing. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was soft and nice. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including an electric kettle, tea and a fridge. The hotel has a lovely terrace where you can sit and have a snack. There is also a free coffee machine from 8am to 2pm. I would also like to mention the lovely staff, the girl at reception was very nice and offered us recommendations for restaurants nearby.

Amazing location, just 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco. I received detailed instructions in advance on how to get to the hotel, so there were no issues finding it. The cozy room had everything we needed. We slept with the windows open, and it was very warm. The mattress was perfect and comfortable, and the double bed had a large duvet—thin but warm.

I missed having a second pillow. The soundproofing was poor: someone was coughing heavily every morning, and it felt like it was right next to our ears, waking us up.

Location is very convenient a few mins walk from San Marco square, easy to reach main sights like San Marco basilica, Rialto bridge and Doge palace. Place was easy to find with directions given. Love the rooftop terrace with a view of the Venice rooftops. Comfortable room, with Venetian style. Allows you to leave luggage if you arrive early and leave later

First floor seems rather dingy but the room itself is clean. Need to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs to the accoms. The room is compact but price is reasonable for Venice

Amazing view of sunrise from the rooftop while enjoying the free coffee for breakfast. Great location. Walkable to everything. Staff were very friendly. Room was big. Beds were comfortable..

No lift to the floor, so we had to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs. This is on their website so we were prepared. But it was hard with a baby and pram in tow. Rooms have a slant as buildings are very old in the city, so took a bit of getting used to. Showers did not seem to stay hot. Had issue with the TV, but staff came quickly to help. No breakfast available at the property. Found everything quite expensive nearby, same as most of Europe.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION It's AMAZING!!!! 2 minutes from main attractions. only one downside can be that apartments are situated on the 3rd and 4th floor, and there's no elevator. On the top floor there's a nice terrace with a few tables, so you can sit and enjoy the views. Also, in the morning, there's a coffee machine available to use and some free cookies :) On our arrival the staff was very nice. Be aware that they are working only to 2pm. After this time, there are no-one in the reception, and there's a different process to check in.

Not that I didn't like it, but the floor was so funny !!! Definitely, it was not straight at all. I would say that the floor level was sinusoidal 😆 so you don't need to drink any alcohol, as you may already feel drunk🤭. This didn't bother me at all... as I get it that the building is very old and it that is beauty of old architecture :). The shower was a bit small, but I'm a petite person, so also, I didn't have any issues with it. the shower was not so clean, I have to say... it could be cleaned with bleach or stronger detergent to clean the mould.

Location was excellent, in close proximity to St. Mark's Square, shopping, restaurants, etc. The room was spacious and well-equipped. It was a pleasure to sit on the terrace and have a coffee. Probably the best coffee I had during my 2 weeks in Croatia. Communication with the facility prior to arrival was very good and we were made to feel very welcome.

We knew we would be sharing a bathroom and, although not ideal, it worked out fine. It was clean and served its purpose.

Excellent location near both Rialto and the San Marco square so you can easily find a waterbus station to the train station or the airport. There's a sign in the hotel saying Lord Byron used to live in this house from 1816 to 1818, so no wonder this is a very old house with traditional decoration that looks like a room from a novel or a movie. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy your night with family and friends or have coffee in the morning. Also, the staffs are very friendly, they helped a lot!

Although the bathroom is private, it is outside the room. No elevator as this is an old house.

Angela was very helpful and polite. We received so much information that we did not even expect. Location - 1 min to San Marco Square. There are many places around for souvenirs or to have breakfast. The room really exudes authenticity. Walls are not wallpaper, but textile material. We vacationed with 2 teenagers, so the room is really suitable for traveling with 2 children. Everything is really great. I recommend it.
