My brother and I were overwhelmed with how fantastic the Motel Gentilhommière was! We stayed for 5 nights whilst exploring the surrounding national parks, for which the property is in the perfect location. The team at the Motel were outstanding and incredibly kind, making us feel very comfortable and doing everything possible to enhance our stay. The facilities at the property were also amazing, as we visited in summer we had use of the outside kitchen so spent our evenings BBQing with a beer by the river, or sitting by the fire pit reading. Everything about this property was great, thank you so much to the team. We'd definitely visit again!

The owners were not only hospitable and kind but they have thought of everything to make your stay fantastic. The attention to details is like no other place we have stayed. They offer a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, relaxing retreat, amazing grounds with a variety of activities but what is truely amazing is how they anticipate your every need. Just after a short rain the owners were outside drying off all the chairs so that you had a peaceful dry place to sit and take in the views! They offer morning pastries that are incredible! The rooms were newly renovated and immaculately clean! We will be back! Thank you for such an incredible stay!

The most vivid impression of our entire stay in Canada! Many thanks to the lovely hosts for their hospitality! Large room, perfect cleanliness, cute design, comfortable beds, everything you need! The view from the room is a postcard! There is a garden house where it is ideal to enjoy morning coffee or evening tea by candlelight in cozy blankets! Our biggest mistake - we only stayed one night... We didn't have time to use the fully equipped BBQ kitchen and enjoy our time here! We saw whales!!! Thanks for your advice on where to take the tour! Thank you for finding our document wallet! We will dream to come again! God bless you!

From the serene and scenic surroundings to the warm and welcoming hosts, everything about this hotel is worth every penny spent. The hosts were very nice and cooperative, treating their guests like family. They went the extra mile to ensure that their guests had a comfortable stay. It was my 30th birthday when we were checking out. The hosts celebrated the day with me and my friends and gifted me a bottle of red wine, on departure. This shows a lot about how much they care about their guests. The hotel also had some great outdoor facilities, like the bbq grill, hammocks, outdoor sitting area to enjoy the majestic st Lawrence river. These added an extra layer of fun to our stay. The rooms were very clean and organised, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Overall, Motel Gentilhommiere is an excellent place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, serene, and scenic hotel near the St Lawrence River. This place is really exceptional!!! It feels like the owner treats the guests like family members ☺️ Rooms are so cozy, clean and comfortable! Wonderful location right on the bank of a small river! Everything for the guests to enjoy and relax: gazebo with swings, muskoka chairs and hammocks, playground and volleyball net, bbq and more! Didn’t want to leave and want to come back!

Excellent hosts, Genevieve and Claude, they did whatever it took to satisfy our needs and pleasures. Very tasty and freshly prepared, the breakfast was delicious , consistent with local ingredients. It it was up to us, we were almost convinced to stay for at least one more night. The location is terribly beautiful, with a lot of facilities. Volley playing area, harvesting fresh raspberries, everything invited us to enjoy our stay. Thanks a lot to our hosts. We want to return as soon as possible with more members of our family.

There is nothing wrong, everything was more than OK.

The owners are extremely pleasant and welcoming. The building and room were in excellent condition and everything was perfect. Early in the morning, the owner was drying off condensation from chairs and tables down by the river so guests could take their breakfast down to eat with a great view over the St Lawrence and tributary stream. We'd love to go back and stay longer at this hotel/motel

Whilst the beds were comfortable, there was a 'roll together' feel on the mattress

We just looked for a place to spend a night since we knew we would arrive late and leave early. so when we searched on Booking.com we looked for the price and didn’t care much about the room. But as we arrived the motel, we regreted that we couldn’t arrive earlier. The room is really clean and beds are really comfortable. The view is beautiful we wish we had time sitting in front of the river to have our breakfast or dinner there. I have already sent the pictures of this motel to my friends and family

. We felt very welcome. Despite being an older building it was neat and clean and wel l taken care of. The couple running the place were warm welcoming and comfortable and quick to rrespond to requests and they expressed concern that a crying baby may have been disturbing but we have 4 grandchildren and didn,t notice. They were up early drying seats outside and getting the days going ,.There always helpful, charming and generous. We didn't,t speak very good french and they let us practice and we're very knind. With theirgem their feedback. I learned so much. Wharmt was an exceptional surprise were the well kept yards with the water running over rocks all night that were so soothing. What an amazing surprise for us only concern when we arrived was that the parking lot didn't look inviting. It was until you got settled in and could listen to the water on the rocks was amazing. An older facilities v Very clean, people were amazing. The entrance need some charm. Would be great to find a good.

A better entrance to make out more pleasant when you drive in. Needed breakfast at 7 because we had to get to places early

Extremely helpful and friendly owners. Very nice motel grounds next to a river, despite the view to the sea was largely barred by the road bridge. Sunny in the morning and early evening though and superb BBQ facilities. We had nice breakfasts outside. Genevieve was ever so helpful doing a batch of laundry.

For a motel it was great and exceeded expectations
