Heng, the owner, is fantastic. He is so hospitable and helpful in recommending and arranging things to do and see that suit your interests, with no agenda. He is a registered guide for the temples, so he has amazing contacts. We moved to a small boutique hotel as he couldn't accommodate us for our whole stay, and we were still welcomed back, and he was still arranging things for us. My partner says he is a national treasure. The accommodation is super clean and has everything you could want ( comfy bed, your own bathroom, haidryer and toiletries, room safe). The pool is small for refreshing yourself at the end of the hot day, not lazing about sunbathing. The accommodation is guest house style in his home, so being respectful of that is a must. We loved it and would definitely go back and recommend it for a unique experience. Try it for a few days. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and about 15 min walk or 5min tuk tuk to pub street. This is not a party house or for honeymooners. My partner is a photographer, and the information we gained from Heng was invaluable to our amazing stay in Siem Reap. Dont hesitate

We couldn't stay longer

You drive through a beautiful temple to reach the hotel. The hotel is all wood and beautiful. Great little pool too. The owner, Heng is an amazing man and will do anything for you. We were greeted with tea, fruit and cold towels on our arrival . Every time we went out Heng was there to see you off and on your return we were greeted with towels and the offer of drinks etc. Heng is a gentleman and so incredibly interesting. I have stayed in top hotels all over the world but this is my favourite. It’s small with only 7 rooms but you feel like you are at home and that’s what Heng wants. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds. They have air conditioning but are very cool without it. Beautiful bathrooms with great showers. The fridge was stocked daily with 8 or so bottles of water, more than other hotels. The large TV had YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime only which was great. I used the pool daily and Heng would always bring me a plate of fruit. In the main road you have street food at night and plenty of other restaurants. It’s close to shops, the river, Kings palace, museum and a short walk or tuk tuk ride to Pub Street. We had free transport from airport to the hotel and it was only 5 dollars by tuk tuk back to the airport. The airport is 10-15 minutes away. We highly recommend the hotel and would love to return one day.

Even knowing of Heng's famed hospitality when we arrived, his organization and kindness exceeded our expectations, he's lovely to talk to. There's a difference between polite staff members and those who go out of their way to create a comfortable experience with stellar service; Heng was a host who looked after each of our group members so everyone would have a good stay. Every time we came back to Mango Kesararam we were greeted with cold towels with the offer of delicious fruit, as well as coffee or tea. He arranged a lovely driver, Dy, for our time in Angkor Wat and to explore Siem Reap. Heng knew the competitive prices for different services. The small pool is like a little oasis, it is very relaxing and feels luxurious in the humid weather. It's also a special experience staying in this peaceful homestay in the temple complex. Sometimes Grab drivers get a bit confused but it's nothing we had issues with. We would absolutely stay here again and intend to recommend Mango Kesararam to anyone staying in Siem Reap.

This is a cozy nine bedroom guest house ran by Heng, the super efficient and kind host. I loved the Wooden furnitures and floors. Location is good especially considering you won’t be doing much is Siem Reap town anyway. Temples are far away from everything, count 15 to 30 min by tuk tuk. Heng spoke good English and gave us worthy suggestions on where to eat plus arranged for us all tuktuk/trips. Very handy laundry service. Great value, cheaper than top hostel chance but a lot more authentic and welcoming.

Without a doubt the most amazing host. He was fabulous and treated us like family. Nothing was a problem and he was kind and fun. The location is wonderful within a sort of a peaceful compound but super easy walking distance to pub street , shops etc . The pool Was a lovely place to refresh after long days in the heat. The room was very spacious and comfortable, also very quiet.

We loved staying here and would again. There was no area to sit in sun loungers by the pool which didn’t worry us as we were busy out exploring most of the time but if you wanted to do that there is no room Around the pool.

This is a fantastic guesthouse. Mr Heng is wonderful, so helpful and attentive - we only stayed for two nights but he helped us maximise our time and were able to fully experience Angkor Wat with a recommended and excellent guide who he managed to organise at the last minute. Also, we had an exceptional driver, Dy, who picked us up from the bus stop and drove us to Phnom Bakheng at sunset when we arrived for free, and then drove us around the full temple site the next day and offered free water throughout the day. The rooms were perfectly clean, spacious and beautiful. There is no restaurant in the guesthouse, but Mr Heng was incredibly helpful with recommendations to eat and also gave us fresh mango and water. In addition, we managed to leave one of our passports in our room when we left for Phnom Penh. We rang Mr Heng and he was so kind helping to look for it in our room and even organised for our driver Dy to get a bus to Phmom Penh to deliver it to us - INCREDIBLE! We cannot recommend this place highly enough! Fantastic hospitality and communication, thank you so much Mr Heng and Dy.

Loved my comfortable room, timber floors, quality of the bedding and fittings, large shared verandah/sitting area. The family is so friendly, speak excellent English and live onsite so there's always someone to help/advise. I'd visited the property before I booked as I'd found previous hotels had old (deceptive) photos- not here though, they are up to date and reliable as the guesthouse has only just reopened. Wifi is fine, pool small but super clean. Great value, and I liked walking through the temple to access the property which is in a lane at the back of Wat Kesararam. There's a great street food market at night right outside the Wat, and it's close to the river, Palace, supermarkets etc. NOT near Pub St which is fine by me :)

The only thing I found a bit tricky was the noise of aircon/generator from the neighbouring big hotel. I'm particularly sensitive to that though, other guests didn't notice at all :) Note that there's no breakfast- a family found that difficult one morning- apparently the site they'd used (not this one) made a mistake by saying it was included.

A great hotel with authentic Cambodian style, the decoration and every detail of the hotel were done by loves. Good location, very comfortable, cosy and clean room, nice beds. Mr. Heng and his team are very kind and helpful, we really feel at home during our stays there. Cold face towels, fruits and coffee always ready every time we came back from our trip. He also helped us planning our trip and arranged tours with tuk tuk and tour guide without extra charging for himself…. Besides we also had very nice conversation with him everytime we met him…..the overall experiences staying in this hotel and Siem Riep is great. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in during our 32 days traveling around Indochina countries. Thank you very much Mr. Heng for a great experiences in your hotel and Siem Riep ❤️

Everything is great

This was one of the best hotels in 2 months of travelling. The rooms are spotless clean, very cozy and provide everything you need. The hotel is located in a calm street while a lot of restaurants are just around the corner. Mr. Heng is extremely friendly and helpful with whatever kind of questions. I was welcomed at the airport by the most friendly person, Mr. Don, who also showed me Angkor during my 3 days in Siem Reap and made sure that I had the best time. If you get to have Mr. Don as your driver, you are very very lucky! Thank you a lot for the wonderful time!!

We had a fantastic stay here. The room was lovely and comfortable with lots of drinking water which was much needed and we enjoyed refreshing dips in the pool after a hot day! Mr. Heng is so lovely, kind, generous and selfless always welcoming you back with a lovely smile, tea/coffee, fresh fruit and a cold towel. He helped us plan our stay in Siem Reap, recommending places to eat, getting our washing done and he sorted out a lovely driver for us called Pon to take us around the Angkor complex. Pon made sure we saw everything we wanted and kept us stocked up with cold water. He also made sure we ate at good places for lunch. He picked us up and dropped us back to the airport at the end of our stay which was lovely to have the same driver for the whole time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.
