I had a really nice stay here! The owner (Hunter) was incredibly friendly and helpful — he made me feel very welcome. The room was simple, just a standard 3-star, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was a big plus — I could walk to pretty much everything. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for convenience and good service without needing anything too fancy.

Hunter, the manager, is by far the most amazing and accommodating host. A kind gentleman who will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable.

Location was brilliant with its close proximity to the city centre, restaurants and other cultural activities.

It was aged but still well presented and staff did everything they could to assist.

The motel is just off the highway and within walking distance of the supermarket and restaurants. Very pleasant for an overnight. We went to see the kangaroos on the beach on the way to Airlie Beach. The room is comfortable and the toaster, microwave and fridge made out stay enjoyable.

The bathroom is small but stand in the shower to dry off.

Motel staff had allocated us an upstairs motel room, however when my husband and I checked in to the motel and the staff noticed how my husband had some difficulty walking due to a medical condition, they suggested a ground-floor room, which we were grateful to receive. Also, a small jug of fresh milk was provided at check-in for tea/coffee to make in our room. We liked the close proximity to the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre as we had booked to see a Show there, in fact it was walking distance from our accommodation. Also, motel staff suggested some local eating venues where we could get an evening meal. Within walking distance were a Chinese, Thai, Greek restaurants and hotel tavern. The beds and pillows in our opinion were very comfortable and clean. Extra pillows and blankets provided in wardrobe. Plenty of clean towels provided. Car parking was available onsite but plenty of street parking available. However, nearby restaurant patrons do use street parking and by 7.30pm there was very few spaces available. The motel is old and tired but clean and comfortable with helpful and happy staff.

Our room at the motel had a small step up into the bathroom, which was difficult to see and we both had minor stumbles. The vanity mirror in the bathroom had damage to the surface; dining chairs x 2 were grubby, stained with food spills and were aged.

Made sure our air condition was on for us as it was a hot night and we were at a function. Lovely host and makes the effort for your comfortability.

Lovely staff and room had everything I needed for a short stay for work. Very convenient location. It is an older property, but kept in good clean condition and is great value for money.

The gentleman at reception was absolutely lovely, the motel and rooms are clean and look welcoming. Reception was also happy to provide milk for my cuppa.

It's on the mainstreet of town so you will hear people on a weekend but it's not bothersome.

Staff were very welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. Providing local knowledge on the best place to find a great meal on a public holiday.

The fan only had two speeds. On or off. Would have been nice to have it going a little slower.

Location is good. I've stayed here in the past and found the motel good value for money. The manager Huner is very good and does a great job.
