Tam Coc is the place to be, in the middle of the fantastic landscapes and experiences for which Ninh Binh is famous. And Nan House is the place to be while in Tam Coc!. located 800m from the main road along a secondary road, in a quiet position far from the noise of the main road, but easily reachable. I found this place to be the excellent way to absorbe the mood of this fantastic region, for the kindness and availability of the personnel (in particular: Moon is exceptional), for the way you can match comfort of your room with tradition of the environment outside: you can eat overlooking a lotus pond, with a lovely palm leaf gazebo, in the traditionally made bamboo open-air restaurant; relax in the swimming pool surrounded by tropical vegetation and this while your rooms are modern, clean, well designed, very spacious, with good forniture, well equipped with efficient air conditioning, a wall fan, a supplied minibar, good wifi, coffe and tea kettle, drinking water, flat TV and last but not least the daily complimentary kit for an herbal foot bath giving relief after a day of walking. There are bikes available for free (about 8 or 10, could be that they are all in use by other guests and in this case there are plenty of places where bikes are on rent) and small gazebos with hammock along the path leading to the rooms. Not to mention the view on the mountains, far after the paddies. Moon is receiving the hosts with a smile and helping in organizing the tours (several of them can at walking or biking distance), call a taxi or rent a car with driver for longer excursions. I and my family found in this place what we were looking for. Finally, I noticed that Nan House really adopts precautions for the respect of the environment, and I appreciated this vary much because the environment in this region is fragile and at challenge.

Don’t think twice and book this lovely homestay. It is truly a home away from home. Everything was arranged and organized to perfection. The breakfast was delicious, we had a wonderful view to the mountains from our balcony. The bikes are free and you can cycle to the main attractions in 15 min. We hope to come back soon. Lovely location off the main road. Quiet rural setting. Beautiful property with a very nice pool. Friendly staff. Family owned. Free bikes to use daily. Short ride to main street and about 2-8 kms to various sites. Herbal foot bath provided in room was amazing. Really nice and spacious room.

Nan house located centrally while being nestled away in the Lillie pads. Ha and her husband were exceptional, we were able to spontaneously book a day tour with a private car going to Mua Caves, the Pagonda & Rover tour. Bicycles were provided to ride into town to adventure, complimentary tea whenever we sat down & traditional Vietnamese Breakfast (pho & Bun Cha). We also received a complementary upgrade, show casing the Ninh Bihn mountains. The facility felt like home and feel like we made friends. We will definitely be back and putting this on our list to revisit, for longer.

We couldn't recommend Nan's House highly enough. Ha and her team gave us a very warm welcome and offered lots of advice on how best to enjoy our time in Ninh Binh with suggestions on where best to visit and how best to travel around. There are bikes available for free use which will get you comfortably to most of the local attractions and Ha arranged the hire of a moped for us to visit the attractions further away for a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast which was offered. The hotel is a short walk away from the town centre down a small road which provides the opportunity to say hi to the locals who are always happy to see you. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay.

A quiet location near rice fields with the best restaurant of Ninh Binh only 100m away. The host is extremely helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. They made our family feel and home and provides a lot of advice and help.

Nam House is a ray of tranquillity only 800m from the centre of the small town but nowhere near the backpacker hostel and hassle. The house is simply but beautifully designed, all the facilities you need are there and nothing you do not. The small touches of the herbal foot bath and the local grown tea are excellent. I did not meet Ha as she was out doing other business but her sister Moon was excellent and helped me with everything including a late night move to the train station. If you're looking for great access to the area but a lovely chilled evening vibe this is the place.

Our stay at Nan House was incredible! The location is so beautiful with the pool, the seating areas and pond. Tuan is amazing and if he can he will make everything possible for you. He really made us feel at home. You can rent a scooter or take the bikes around (which we both loved). It's also possible to have your laundry done. Tam Coc and Trang An area are extremely beautiful. We even stayed one night longer because we liked it so much. Thank you so much to Tuan and the whole team!

The property was located close to the Main Street I town. The owner, Ha, was amazing in organising our trip and coordinating transfers and tours. Ninh Binh is a beautiful place - pristine and very scenic.

Nan house is a hidden germ in middle of the tourist area. The location is so good. few minutes walk to the town where many restaurants, shops and the Tam coc ferry station locate. The first moment we got into the hotel was so impressive . Moon has given us glasses of cold lemon juice that were just perfect for a hot day. We were also impressive by the greenery gardens, beautiful trees all around, many relaxing places to enjoy. the pool looks so nice and clean. The room was really spacious and super clean. Breakfast was fantastic with 6 choices of local or international foods. Very fresh fruits generously given. Staff was so kind and helpful. The best hotel in all places that we have visited. Great value for money. Thank you Nan House.Highly recommended
