The location w.r.t. the train station was very nice. It is a bit far away from Old Town but after a long drive or flight, it should still feel great. Having a lot of kitchen amenities to reheat leftovers. The room itself was quite spacious; quite nice. The breakfast was pretty nice, including the idea to make your own waffles in the morning.

Mainly minor things. Noticed on Saturday we didn't get new towels despite not putting up a 'do not disturb sign.' Was unsure of what supplies the hotel had (i.e. toothbrush); would've been nice to know sooner. Not a lot of variety for breakfast across days (comparing Saturday and Sunday, only the fruit changing). I think switching one of the proteins for bacon or something would be nice.

The location is very convenient to Amtrak and two metro stations. There are two nearby grocery stores - Wegmans and Whole Foods. The location is in a generally quieter part of Alexandria, so there isn’t the same noise level of busier street/night life. Like most Residence Inn properties, the room is very comfortable, spacious, with in-room amenities that are great for 3+ nights. The fitness center not only has the typical treadmills and elliptical machines, but it also had a barbell and various weights for squatting and bench press options.

Strangely, the room doors slam so loudly that there’s no need for an alarm clock. I was startled several times throughout the late night/early morning from other guests entering and leaving their rooms that I wished I had some ear plugs. Additionally, for my room, the closet was poorly designed. The way the clothes’ hanging bar was affixed in the closet was poorly set, so the closet door could not close. Additionally, the room’s safe, iron, and ironing board were in the closet, so over half of the closet space was not usable. Luckily, there’s plenty of room in the dresser.

I liked how close it is to the stations and how easy it is to get to old Town Alexandria or downtown DC. I also loved the facilities, a true studio suite.

The booking.com reservation came under a slightly different name than I expected. When I used my last name to try to check in there was nothing in the system that related to my booking. I also tried to use my confirmation number to pull up my reservation, but it did not work either. It wasn't until I attempted with first name 15 mins and one call to booking.com later that I was able to check in. It would be amazing if in the future you ensure multiple options for confirming a reservation.

This hotel was picked because it was conveniently located to a wedding venue I had to attend. Other stores and restaurants were also within a 10 minute range. They offer breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. Everything was fresh and the staff made sure to keep the food well stocked. Definitely will stay again if I'm ever in the area.

I didn't like the $40 charge for parking per day. But they do tell you about a cheaper option for parking.

From the minute we arrived at this hotel, helped by the wonderful evening/night receptionist everything was really lovely. The rooms are a fantastic size. The beds are huge and it was absolutely ideal for a family of four. The hotel was spotless, including rooms and it was great to have access to a fridge and laundrette. There was a Wegman's supermarket, restaurants and a cinema just around the corner and a great little "corner shop" (not actually on a corner!) where you could buy drinks, snacks and other essentials. The absolute highlight of our stay was the complementary breakfast - particularly the waffles on Sundays! A lovely, comfortable lounge and easy access to the subway to get into Washington. Within walking distance of Alexandria Old Town, which is just delightful!

The car parking was pricey, but you could park in the local multi-storey car park just around the corner.

Limited vehicle height parking. Not certain if vehicle dimensions are stipulated in the terms, however even if they are, it should be addressed at booking. For instance, NOTE: On Premises Vehicle Parking - Maximum Vehicle Xft with an initial box acknowledgment. Our van was rejected at check-in on 6/28/23 due to its height and spent an hour inquiring with Police Dept., Fire Dept., Park and Ride etc. with no resolution as to where to park our van. We had to park our work van in the street for 5 nights. 2nd Issue, we canceled one 4 day reservation for Elmer on 6/28. We were billed/charged for 5 days. Booking.com is addressing with the hotel. This is totally unacceptable.

Had a great view from the room. Room was spacious with a full kitchen. Very comfortable bed, got lots of sleep away from my kiddo, which I'm very grateful for.

Breakfast could have been better. It's just your average continental breakfast with loads of carbs and sugar. Wish there were more options for vegetarians and those who don't want a lot of carbs and sugar.

Was able to easily avoid paying hotel's VERY HIGH parking fee by using the USPTO garage around the corner. I will stay here again when in the area. Staff friendly and efficient, AAA+

Screwy handicap lobby front doors to deal with. A little train/subway noise but is greatly reduced if you request room on the EAST side of building (which I did).

We were visiting family living nearby at the Foundry... this location was perfect. We loved having a nice big breakfast to start the day and a parking option so convenient ($32 a night is not cheap but it was convenient). Our room (King suite) was great, spacious and well equipped.

TV wasn't working which was an inconvenience. They came and fixed it, then it broke again. I needed lotion... none provided. I didn't ask, maybe they had some.

Night staff...totally unhelpful...I'm walking in after a late, long flight. 3 men behind desk with no other guests...watch me battle to get in their 2 doors with suitcases...none of them come to open door, help with a suitcase...they watch me battle...what hotel doesn't teach their staff to help??
