Typical motel within walking distance of Dolly Parton Stampede. Balcony overlooking the Little Pigeon River is very relaxing and we were able to sleep with the balcony door open without AC, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast corner was above average for a motel.

It was on the river, had a fireplace and a soaking tub. The staff were wonderful! The breakfast was ok, but the biscuits were pretty hard and bacon sure would have been better than the other meats, but it’s just a personal preference.
It says it has private balconies and they are from room to room but houses sit right across the river from you, nothing to do about it, it’s just not “private” per say. Also the soaking tub is LITERALLY right inside the door so IF you’re in it and it opens you are right there. It’s in the middle of the entire room. I loved it but it’s kind of awkward. An entirely new elevator was being installed so we could have chosen somewhere else, they told us up front, or switched rooms but I wanted a king size bed so we walked the 4 flights for the first 3 days. They told us when they were finished but we continued to get a bit of exercise ha and just took it a few times! They were very nice and apologetic about it up front though! Super nice ladies!

Location and cleanliness! Very clean Hotel! Great staff! Very nice hotel and rooms! Loved the nice open walk-in showers vs tub shower combos! I also appreciate the elevators as I can’t do stairs any longer. I love that all the rooms were balcony rooms overlooking the Pigeon River. Thankful for non-smoking rooms as well. I appreciate that we didn’t have to smell smoke all weekend. Another added and awesome amenity was the fireplace! Extra nice and so cozy!
All in all it was a great property, my only issue was the small parking lot but it all worked out with parking. The complimentary breakfast was fairly good but would have loved to have had bacon as an option, it was only sausage links every morning.

The location was great. Our room had a fireplace and a balcony that overlooked a stream. There was a fireplace outside to sit by at night. The room was spacious with a sofa, and the bathroom had 2 sinks. The staff worked very hard to keep everything clean, and there was always someone at the front desk to greet you upon entering for breakfast or during the day. Parking was easy with close access to the main road.
The dining area for breakfast was small (about 6 tables ), and seating was limited if you didn't arrive early. It easily became congested due to some patrons not leaving their table after finishing their meal so others could use them.

Room was clean. I'm very much on cleanliness. Beds were very comfortable. Fireplace was very nice. We especially love the balcony. Like to sit out there and read and watch the ducks and geese play in the creek. That is one of the main reasons for staying here. We enjoyed Breakfast. It's a money saver to us. Don't have to spend the big bucks at restaurants. Comes in the price of the room and you get a very good meal. We are retired and the price is a little steep for us sometime so, I watch and try to get a reasonable price, When you are on fixed income, you still like to enjoy some good things. It would be nice if you could every once and a while reduce the price for those who are elderly and struggling to enjoy a stay and some of your hospitality.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Everything was hot. The view was just okay but it was nice to have a balcony and watch the ducks below. It was nice to be near so many restaurants and a short distance to Gatlinsburg.
There isn't a lot of seating for breakfast. We had to take it to our room to eat on a few occasions. They couldn't keep up with the crowd either because we had to wait for more biscuits on one occasion. It was a Monday, so that was surprising. The Parkway was very busy but it's to be expected. If you don't enjoy traffic, don't stay in this area; You will want to stay more off the beaten path.

Loved the updated rooms and that it was pet friendly. The balcony on the river was so nice and I enjoyed the soaker tub after being on our feet all day. It was super relaxing with the fireplace going. The bed was perfect for us, not too firm or too soft. The staff was exceptional! Didn't have any negatives!!
The $20 a night per pet would be my only negative. $200 extra for 4 nights was steep in my opinion. We could have boarded our dogs for that amount but I get that is the price we pay for bringing them with us and that is a choice.

The room was very nice and clean. Location was nice along the river off the parkway strip. Ducks and geese were fun to watch. Fire pit in the evening was great to relax by. Pool was available but I didn't use it.
I booked a jetted bath but got a soaking spa bath instead. I was disappointed in that. Breakfast was ok. Gravy and biscuits, eggs, sausage links or summer sausage, cornbeef hash or fried potatoes, waffles, muffins, danishes, bagels and toast. Sausage links needed to be cooked a little longer. They were mushy. The meats and potatoes varied from day to day. The usual coffee, tea, juice and milk. The breakfast area was small with only 4 small tables. We took our breakfast to our room which thankfully was just off the lobby.

The facilities were excellent! We have stayed here many times. It is always clean and safe.
The front desk staff was excellent upon arrival. However when checking out I said I'm checking out. I gave the man my cards he typed on the computer, printed out my receipt and handed it to me me. Never said hello, good morning, nothing. When he handed me the receipt he said nothing. Not a word. Really spoiled the stay. Checked out around 8 a.m. Check the video and you will see what happened.
