The Jekyll Island Club is amazing. It's like stepping back in time If you think of the Guided Age of opulence and splendor, then the Jekyll Island Club is a centerpiece. The hotel is gorgeous and the grounds spectacular. My room was in the wing with a glassed in heated porch so I could enjoy views of the grounds. How lucky was.I to enjoy such a beautiful resort. A 10+++ experience.

The weather was dreadful. We were there for 3 nights and it was cold and rainy. This was my second time there in December and in May. Both times cold and rainy. Not the fault of the Jekyll Island Club, but perhaps this is just the weather of coastal Georgia. Next time I would try September.

It brings you back in time and helps ground your soul and feel for a moment to be away from the rat race of todays society The grounds of the hotel are a huge part of this And also the staff all super nice Enjoyed the museum and tour guide and history of this location Also enjoyed the bike ride around the island and amazing vistas Truly spectacular place and I will be back again It should be noted this is a historic lodge and therefore has a 100 year plus history and it shows in building. Coffee pantry area was great loved the coffee and cakes did not try the main hall or breakfast will check those out on next trip

The rich landscaping and historical buildings and overall history of the place and also history going back to French Revolution And overall ambience brings you back in time and calms the soul

While weather intruded with lots of rain, we loved the amazing beauty of the location and the gilded age ambiance of the resort. Our room was nicely appointed although the pillows were small and not great. We enjoyed the beautiful old bar with its limited seating and the stunning wood work there and in surrounding sitting areas all very cozy. We wished the main dining room also served meals rather than only breakfast, it would have been wonder to dress up for a dinner there. We will return and stay longer when the weather is more accommodating.

Limited fine dining.

Very quiet. It is a cute cottage-style room with beautiful scenery (deer, the river, courtyard, landscaping). We walked the property every evening. The Wharf restaurant is within walking distance. The food was good, especially the fried green tomatoes!

We did not have hot water the first night. They said it would be working after midnight and I needed to go to bed to prepare for the next day, but we had hot water in the morning. They accommodated us with a complimentary breakfast. Overall, we had a great stay.

The staff was very good in the Pantry and the Bar area. The room was clean and comfortable.

The Wharf could use a menu upgrade. Heavy on the fried food. There are not a lot of dinner options at the resort. We basically ended up eating in the Pantry. We did have breakfast one day in the main dining room and it was underwhelming and overpriced for the food variety provided. $25 would be more appropriate for the food that was available.

Beautiful building and grounds evoking a bygone era. Delicious breakfasts and gorgeous dining room. And the holiday lights are spectacular!!

Definitely did not like the non-stop Christmas music playing in the hotel. Also the fire alarm went off starting at 6:30 am several times one of our mornings there and there was no information given. A conversation with the manager at breakfast about this was very unsatisfactory. He said it’s an old building and up to guests to decide whether to evacuate. What?!?!?! According to one of the housekeeping staff, false alarms are not uncommon.

Location: fantastic, in the historic district with many old trees. Room: we were in the Crane cottage and had a balcony and very big room.

We were not satisfied with the dining options. The grand dining room is closed for lunch and dinner. The Wharf does not accept reservations (only for six people or more). On a Thursday evening, we (two elderly people) had to wait one hour to obtain a table. Inside it was very noisy. Many guests from other hotels are dining here as well, so it was very crowded all the time. There is a bakery on site but they only serve small bites and fast food. The staff could be friendlier.

Love the Jekyll Island club. The atmosphere and the beauty. It's like stepping back in time. The history of the area is so interesting.

There was a large group that took over the grounds and the lobby. Their children were unsupervised and very disruptive. They trashed the inside and outside of the resort. This is no fault of the resort, this is a lack of respect on the guest part. I hope the group tipped the staff well!

The property is stunning. The location is great. There is a lot to do in the resort. The pool is awesome.

The room was very uncomfortable. Especially since we paid $399 a night for a 200 square feet room. The air conditioner was clashing air and it was uncomfortable especially at night since the air was blowing on the bed. The mini fridge was really a freezer and there was no way to lower the temperature. If not for the discomfort of the room our stay would be perfect.
