I am a four or five star resort girl, but we were looking for a less expensive trip in a year we were taking two. If you are hesitating over location or the quality of the rooms - don't. I loved the room, the comfort of the bed, and the location / beach. We went during spring break and it was much less crowded here. We were able to Chromecast to the TV and watched movies as a family every evening. The pool was noisy until 10, which we could hear - I have teens and we did the movie thing - it worked out. I was grateful the pool and bar closed at 10 though, for the level of noise. Winn Dixie is a close drive for milk/snacks/drinks. Based on reviews, we avoided charging to the room, or using the hotel restaurant. We found several restaurants like Slyce and Sea Dogs in the area that we liked, and chains like Coldstone, Outback, Panda Express, Panera, Bubba Gump, all within a short drive. We didn't lack for food and it was cheaper than if there had been a boardwalk. The pool bar area was inviting on the beach side and we were tempted, but for expense decided to snack and then drive out for meals.
The balconies are terrible as reported by others. Josh and Derrik at the front desk are wonderful. If you arrive early, I would look for one of them to help you. The hotel doesn't manage check-in well. They assign you a particular room and you wait on it to be vacated and cleaned, which means others that arrive after you may have a room first. I would recommend checking in often if you arrive early. I had to ask for the towels I needed every day that we stayed there. Housekeeping knew how many we wanted daily and still I had to ask daily. I asked in person each morning, but the one day I failed to do that, I got towels immediately after asking the front desk.

Love this place! Proximity to the beach is so good and a big reason why I love it so much. You can hear the waves from your room/balcony and see the kids playing on the beach. The food served on the deck is some of the best I’ve ever had and so convenient! I can’t wait to come back to see the new tiki bar. The sunset view is amazing. The beds are so comfy, which is very rare in hotels! The only “negatives” were that the shower nozzle was loose and hard for the kids to operate. The toilet paper holder was situated low to the ground and the roll kept falling off. We didnt get cookies at check-in and our room wasn’t quite ready for check-in until just before 4pm. Of course, it’s all expensive too … the hotel stay, the food & drink, the parking, … but obviously has been deemed worth it. Haven’t found any other gulf beachfront that compares. We want to stay longer than 1 night next time, hopefully.

Although the area is still recovering from the hurricanes last fall, this hotel was up and running. The staff members at the front desk, at the restaurant, and at the beach bar were all super nice and efficient. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our room.
It seemed that the lower portion of the deck had been destroyed in the storms, so a temporary metal ramp was erected to access the pool. It was completely functional and a smart temporary solution, but not attractive. Another higher deck and seating for the beach bar was available. Many other hotels, condos, homes, stores, and restaurants in the area are still boarded up or under renovation. We were lucky to be able to get a drink at the bay and eat in the lobby restaurant, since other options were limited. There was some construction noise during the day.

Rooms were recently renovated with everything looking new. The beach, pool, bars, restaurant, reception area, and rooms are close to one another with convenient access. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast buffet was good regarding flavor but needed serious refilling when we walked in an hour before closing. My husband made it clear to our waitress when we sat down how empty many of the containers were and she assured us that it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, our waitress was the person refilling the buffet and waiting on tables too. She kept checking to see that we had enough of everything. Because of our waitress, we ended up having a very enjoyable breakfast.

Room and view was fabulous
The biggest problem was booking with Booking.com, total disaster, I book car rental, airline, hotel all with Booking.com. You nearly destroyed our honeymoon. Unresponsive, got to talk with no one, completely afterthe sales and you lock-out any reasonable access. Everywhere we went, everyone we reservation we had, advised us privately to never ever book thru a third party and especially Booking.com. I am on a personal crusade with by business partners, friends, and family to spread the word about your awful disgusting Unresponsive company.

The staff was great! I want to recogize some people Arthur at the front desk , Carmello as 1st shift cleaner outside by pool and decking area , Joy and Peter as the hostess with the resturant ! They were awesome! Carmello works hard and friendly i felt like he watched out for me since i was alone. Arthur at the front desk needs a promotion. His awesome with people and so friendly. Joy ...she is the all around and makes it all around good experience. She does whatever it takes to make you happy!
i cannot say a bad thing really...if i was to say one complaint it would be you need to get a bigger song play list out by the TIKI BAR..its the same songs over and over again. i understand you have to be selective on song choices but get 100 songs and replay those .

It was very clean smelled wonderful and the staff was fabulous.
The umbrella cabana boys were rude and unprofessional, especially the boss named Kevin. They reflect very badly on your hotel and should be replaced by nicer people. I was called a fat ass, bitch by one of them and they threatened to call the police on me after that comment. The only reason I would not return to this hotel is because of those umbrella Sun chair people. The hotel indicated those were ours to use until 530. There was no comment or indication that they were collecting rental for them, which is the hotels fault. There was also no literature about the hotel amenities, area amenities, entertainment in the area or anything for guests to do.

The room was great! Clean and had everything we needed. The view was perfect.
The front desk staff was very rude. When I checked out I ask the man for a receipt and he said no. I said you can't give me a receipt. He said you had no charges and just kept repeating that. Then when I walked away he started talking about me to the women next to him. He was bald in his 50's or 60's and the women had bleach blonde hair in her 60's. Very rude and he should not be in customer service because he obviously hates people.

Starbucks coffee available. Excellent servers and bartenders. Close to shopping and necessities. Cocnut Charlie's food onsight if desired. Pool and beach just steps outside the lobby.
For the cost of the rooms, there should have been regular free coffee available and parking fee included. Smoking should be allowed outside on your balcony as it is outdoors.

Very clean, all staff courteous, and helpful. The restaurant coconut Charlie’s was amazing for all three meals, breakfast lunch, and dinner. Hotel was recently remodeled, and everything was perfect.
Had ocean front room with a balcony, but there was no screen on the door wall so you couldn’t leave the door open. Also toilet paper holder was in the absolute worst position.
