The location and view

It was pretty old. The bathroom was pretty outdated bad water pressure. The lamp by the bed was the outlets to charge phones. Super old and broken. Overall it was not a bad experience laced and I would go again. But for the amount of money , I expected more.

Anything and everything extra cost more. parking, flexible hours, nothing extra included for free the shower head was kind of a bummer it's when they use in Pilot Flying J Truck Stop shower in America LOL banged my knee on the bed frame about four times lol a food voucher would have been nice from the cafe since they don't provide breakfast

Great place! Staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make your stay relaxing!! We upgraded our room to an ocean front after our first night and staff was more than accommodating! Laundry facilities on-site were awesome as well! The pool and hot tub area was fantastic! We loved that our sliding door opened up with our patio on boardwalk. We arranged our table and chairs to be able to sit in our room and watch the sunsets and enjoy the view of the ocean!! We will definitely be back soon!!

Ocean front room was a lot small than our first non view room and didn't have the easy chair. Not a deal breaker but most staying are there for several days on vacation so a little bigger space would be awesome!!!! But for just the 2 of us is was fine!

We had a room with queen bed and sofa; pool/partial ocean view - Spacious room - Very convenient mini-kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker - Good room service - Very nice pool area - Next to the beach - Partial ocean view from the balcony

- The carpet looked dirty and worn-out - Very cheap quality of furniture. Looked worn-out and drawers were hard to move. - Very high parking fee ($40 per day) - On nice warm days, there are no lounge chairs available at the pool - The bed was set up in a way that instead of ocean view we had wall view. Why don't they put it on the other side of the room?

Location of this hotel is unbeatable. Right ON the water, in front of a surf spot and walkable to tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. The hotel itself is adorably decorated, with a a great and well-executed California surf theme. Nice little cafe in the lobby and well-stocked mini market with wine, beer, snacks, etc. Staff super nice and friendly. And a great pool area with a fabulous hot tub to watch the sunset from. Highly recommend this hotel and will go back.

It's pricey especially given it's essentially a converted motor hotel / motel and not a 5-star resort. $40/day for parking is steep.

The view of the ocean from the premium rooms with king beds is exceptional! The pool area is clean, comfortable and gives you direct access to Pacific Beach across the boardwalk. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Premium rooms should offer free high speed wifi instead of slow wifi.

We are repeat guests (4 years in a row so far) & The Wayfarer will continue to be where we stay on our yearly summer vacay! Yes, the location can't be beat, but the hotel is the perfect blend of comfort & cool. We love the beds, the views, & all the room ammenities. The pool area is both relaxed & fun (love the music in the pool area & the pool bar on the weekends). We love having the cafe/lobby as an option for food & and drinks. Most importantly, they always take pride in the cleanliness of the hotel, rooms, & pool area. Always a perfect stay for us!

I loved the location. The pool and quick access to the beach were so great. The hotel staff were all excellent from the front desk to the custodians to the maintenance crew. It was a very pleasant experience. This hotel is definitely kid and family friendly.

The carpet in our room was pretty filthy. Not to the eye but on our fresh socks/feet. But it is on the beach and the room had direct pool access so that's very understandable with the constant traffic over time. Also the toilet did not flush toilet paper down well so that was frustrating.

Nasty jacuzzi had a hair ball in water and other stuff floating around . Jumped in then jumped out fast !

Location was good for us, we loved being right off the beach! Staff friendly, rooms descent, fit our needs. On site coffee shop was a plus for us.

No real complaints besides the fact this place seems a little bit older. Rooms were basic but fit our needs! Place was busy so noisy all throughout the stay. Loud music and people juts having fun. I guess I can’t be mad for people having fun! Ha! I would consider staying here again only because they had A/C which is a plus for me!
